Fun place for pool and bowling (if you can ever get in!). Nice servers.

My friends and I came here on a whim after eating at a local tapas place (Coobah, which is awesome).  We had no idea going in that they had pool and bowling as well as an awesome beer selection.

it took a few minutes to get someone's attention to get set up at a table, which was $12 per hour.  The tables are huge and really well maintained.  It was a real blast from the past with the decor, like the place hasn't changed in 100 years.  

We played for a few hours while enjoying a number of really good beers.  We were pleased to find a number of hard to get drafts and the service was very good.

Overall, we had a great time and would come back again if we were in the mood to play pool and drink.  The bowling seemed a bit expensive, but people looked like they were having fun.

Don't think I have a single negative thing to say about Southport Lanes. I'm so glad to have discovered this place in my new neighborhood. Everything from the service to the food to the ambiance were great. During the week they have great specials and the service is friendly and attentive, even when it's busy. I love the "old school" vibe here...especially with the pin-boys and manual score-keeping at the bowling lanes! :) This place has everything you need - classic food/drink options but a unique setup that really sets this place apart from the rest. I'll definitely be back here again (and again..and again..).
