i was at Roadhouse 66 last night, and I believe it has taken over Tre.
as usual, would like to give 3.5 stars but nooooooo, i can't.
Brian K mentioned that one of his friends knows the owner or something of that nature, so he was going to watch the bears game at roadhouse 66. Â we googled and yelped and found nothing other than an old article that mentioned the bar name and some other basic info but nothing all that helpful.
the bf and i were going to thai classic for dinner, so i told BK that we'd meet up with him and his crew later. Â little did i know that the two places are directly next door to each other.
can't speak for the food, but the beer specials were good. Â $4 shock tops, $3.50 american ale bottles. Â also saw a sign for $3.50 smothered tots. Â BK & co. said the wings were good.
service was good as well. Â very short, very attentive waitress earned her tip!
A simple bar located off of Clark Street. Â Your average bar menu (burgers, chicken fingers, quesadillas, tatar tots). Â Service is nice, Â and there is plenty of seats availible.
We came by here to watch the Cubs game and grab some grub. Â We found out that Tues. nights are $3.00 anything on tap (includes fat tire and blue moon) and enjoyed their killer waffle fries (similar to Chick-fil-a's) for $3.00 a basket.
I came here today following a day at the beach with a friend. We were actually driving down clark street looking for something to finish off our night at, and heard the beat of house music to the side of the street. After pulling a "legal" u-turn, we parked at a nearby meter and continued north on Clark following the sound, to the spot that used to house Bottom Nine.
Very glad that I decided to give it a go. Tonight was the Pride parade afterparty, and although I am heterosexual, I found the atmosphere inviting to any and all. Music-101, leaders in underground house music promotions (Boom Boom Room) were there with Michael Serafini  spinning. Sundays drafts are only $3 !!! $3 for a pint of Guinness in Lakeview gets a star automatically.
Props to Tim, whom I think is the head bartender. After I was overcharged and pointed it out, I received a free round too.
I will be back to check it out, when I want to chill/dance to some good music, but not get all decked out.
