Well looks like I am going to live here.
Every Monday night if you show proof that you work in the hospitality industry you get 50 percent off everything on the menu!
So I came here with a large group and we ordered several different things. The chicken wings are delicious. I tried the gator bites (yes, real alligator) and I liked them a lot. I didn't like the sauce they came with though.
I myself got a pound of snow crab legs (originally $15 but half price more or less $8) Â and they were so scrumptious. You have the option of flavoring them but I wanted mine plain with just some dipping butter. It was heavenly!
I also ordered a Pineapple and Malibu (probably my signature drink) and it comes in a big cup, whoo! I hate when you go someplace and alcoholic drinks come in small cups. I got a good 8 ounces!
This is a great place to watch games at. There are TVs everywhere. Just watch out because this place has a Chicago flair to it so you see Cubs and White Sox memorabilia everywhere!
I'm a Ft. Lauderdale local with a husband from Chicago. We were looking for a nearby spot to watch Bears and Bulls games, but finally ended up at Hott Leggz on Super Bowl night 2013. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the beer selection. The waitress offered us free samples of the flavored peel & eat shrimp, which we thouroughly enjoyed, but ordered the popular buffalo chicken wings instead. They were crispy, meaty, juicy, and flavorful. Service was a little slow and the noise level loud, but that was expected during a Super Bowl football game. Overall, we had a great experience at Hott Leggz. I think we may have found our new regular sports bar :-)
Review Source:Customer service was really good. Ordered the  Cobb Salad and Turkey Burger.  The salad was good, spinach to boiled egg and bacon ratio was horrible. Way to much spinach  to  just a few bits of eggs and bacon.  While the burger was huge and tasty. I'd order it again. I 'd come back because of the service and the turkey burger.
Review Source:This is a great bar! Â I love this place! Â The box of nerds drink is by far the best drink I have ever had (although my boyfriend won't let me drink it anymore because it has so much vodka). Â The bartenders are awesome, they have a great jukebox, the food is good and they pur a great drink! Â the only problem is they are an Alabama bar!
Review Source:Had been hesitant to try because the name threw me off....This place does wings right, unlike the rest of south florida. just done enough to be crisp with the right amount of sauce! Great place to watch games. Only complaint was the menu said buy one get one drinks all day everyday, but the bill said otherwise. Next time I will ask what the drink specials are.
Review Source:Cute little place. Great prices, every day they have a different deal.. for example, it could be .50 wings or sliders or something.
The inside is very cute, Key West theme with dollars on the walls :)
I was the only black person in there, hehe, so I was a bit intimidated but deserves a good review :) friendly staff from my experiences
I was glad to see something different in the east side of federal in fort lauderdale. The brick outside and inside give this place a northern style dive bar that I have missed having lived in NYC.  Its a moderate size bar that is packed with TVs. I watched a couple of Heat games before and they play the game sounds and during commercials a DJ plays your radio hits. They have an interesting menu that includes frog legs, gator legs and from what I heard of guests sitting near by awesome flavored crab legs which they are well-known for.  My favorite server is Sammi she's great and attentive. I ate the hot wings here and next to Bru's room wings, I really did love these wings.  The drinks are fairly priced and have some good specials and they have ITB nights on Mondays. They also have on some nights a small band playing and who doesn't like live music! I'm slowing becoming a regular at this establishment and  hope this place sticks around even though it's a Chicago Bar :-).
Review Source:Refreshing to see a local bar with locals of all ages scattered through it. I felt like I had just stepped inside everyone's favorite secret spot and was at ease immediately.
Good news it was $2 taco night.... Â I recommend the Ahi Taco. Â The seaweed on top was a neat touch.
I wish the tortillas would have been slightly warmed....(that's me missing authentic Mexican taco stands scattered throughout Texas). Â It's not for the temperature, but the texture. Â You'll understand if you come across such a taco.
Fun note: there is a seafood king crab bucket on the menu.. (in my head I wondered if anyone ordered this) moments later a group across the way had sleeves rolled up and hungry grins on as they opened all different sea legs and creatures. Â I am totally going back and getting myself a bucket.
Don't let me fool you, its not your fancy seafood dining. Â Its an awesome dive bar with awesome food.
The bartender to patron ratio was definitely in their favor and the service was still horrible. Not I'm busy I'll be right there, we were in earshot of the bartenders talking crap about another guest who didn't tip while i was waiting to be served. Being in the hospitality industry myself, you'd think that one would then put in their best effort for the next go. Something tells me it's the service, not the customers. The gator bites were so salty and over battered I couldnt even tell what I was eating. The shrimp bucket was fresh, however. I can safely say I will not be returning to Hot leggz anytime soon.
Review Source:It's a cool little spot with good food. I had the shrimp po' boy buffalo style and it was really good. The service needed a little help, it was a bit slow and there were some minor errors, but the bar tender was the only person serving from what I could tell so not a big deal. I will definately be back to try some of the other dishes. Plus they do UFC fights there which is a plus for me and although it was a slow afternoon when we went there to eat it looks like it would be a fun bar to hang out at.
Review Source:I go to this place mainly to watch UFC events, as it's a UFC bar in addition to a Chicago sports bar. Â It's a good place to watch sports since they have a ton of TV's and a pretty good sound system. Â But besides that, they have good drinks and bar food as well. Â From frog legs, to gator legs, to wings and Chicago style hot dogs, the food is pretty good for what it is. Â
I especially like the frog legs to eat. Â To drink, the 32 oz vodka lemonades that come in a wide variety of flavors for $7 are a good deal and taste pretty good. Â Overall, it's a pretty fun place to hang out and get some drinks and bar food and listen to some loud music or watch sports.
I live right nest to this place and have kinda been watching it since it has opened. Finally decided to pop in and check it out. Nice local bar which can turn to be a regular hangout! I went there with a friend from out of town to get a drink and maybe some wings, ended up getting the gator bites and snow crab legs. Both were equally delicious. The staff was nice. It wasn't packed when we got there, around 830pm. The prices were reasonable, on days they have 2-4-1 drinks. As the night passed, the place quickly filled up with what I assume is industry people who come here for a after work hangout. I liked the atmosphere and the food. The beer and drinks are reasonable and service is good! I will be coming back. Oh yeah and they deliver!
Review Source:Hot Leggz has the potential to be a regular spot for me. Â I've been there a few times now, either to eat or just have drinks. Â Great for lunch, late night snack, game sunday, happy hour, or just evening out at the pub.
The menu has all the usual suspects of a pub-style bar/restaurant, but there are some neat little twists. Â What do I mean? Well... for one, they serve frog legs. Â I'm not saying I eat frog legs, I'm just saying you can get them there, along with gator legs as well. Â That's kinda different for a place that isn't situated way out in the swamp. Also, they have some flavorful peel n' eat shrimp and crab 'bowls', which our waitress was nice enough to allow us to sample. Â As for what I've actually had there, thus far, I've had their wings, which are fantastic, and a black n blue burger, which I also enjoyed.
Awesome food, Â Hot bartenders, cold beer. Â Only reason they don't get 5 stars is because it's not meant to be a 5 star place. Â Hott Leggz is laid back, casual and far from pretentious.
The Chicago hot dogs are as good as a Chicago hot dog gets even in the city of Chicago. Â Vienna hot dogs, poppy seed buns and all the toppings makes me happy.
One of the best creations ever has to be the fried egg and applewood bacon burger. Â A perfectly cooked patty topped with a wonderfully gooey and runny fried egg along with thick cut bacon. Â OMG. Â This is a last meal request indeed. My new favorite burger.
Looking forward to trying the wings and frog legs next time but I don't know if I can resist that burger.
In the area on business, was looking for a quick non-chain place to grab a bite to eat. Â The exterior itself is a winner, and is what initially caught my attention.
The interior is also well laid out, but could use some more sports memorabilia and/or Chicago 'stuff' (this is a Chicago themed bar/grill).
The food was fantastic. Â My co-worker and I both had burgers and they were amazing. Â Wasn't a fan of the fries, but the cole slaw made up for it... it was excellent.
The staff was genuine and friendly, and prices were reasonable. Â Overall, two thumbs up!
Hott Legg'z is situated in a location well known for having experienced every type of restaurant and bar failure in the past. It was previously Trotter's Inn, then before that a restaurant specializing in German food, before that a bar, and even at one time a gay bar. I've probably skipped several intervening businesses that occupied this location, but there have been so many, it's difficult to recall them all.
So, it was a particular delight to stop by the new Hott Legg'z to find a place that finally might make a go of this location. It's a pleasant bar, has a good happy hour, lots of flat screens and a collection of friendly enjoyable patrons.
As for the food, I confess that I simply adore a good dish of fried frog legs and Hott Legg'z delivered some of the best I've had. Though somewhat on the smallish side, they served a good full portion that came in basket, all properly battered, fried and prepared. There aren't that many places to get good frog legs around Lauderdale, with the only place nearby being Catfish Dewey's, and by comparison I would rate those of Hott Legg'z as being better than those of Catfish Dewey's as their legs, though larger in size are smaller in the proportion of the dish served as well as tending to be much more on the greasy side.
I also had their fried oysters. Again, served in a basket, they also came properly battered and prepared.
So, my hat's off to the new establishment. They do have some really good fried frog legs and fried oysters at a reasonable price in a comfortable, clean, neat surrounding. They also have a rather large menu of the usual burgers & etc; pretty much something to satisfy everyone.
