The Chicago land area holds an overabundance of restaurants like Hub's. These joints primarily serve American and Greek fast food and they've god that old-timey, kitschy feel to them. Since I can name ten different restaurants like this at the top of my head, (no, I do not have diabetes) I can say that choosing which one is better is like splitting hairs because of the many similarities they all share.
I came here for lunch with a few friends and I was happy that being in the city, there was a parking lot. We walked in and the space was bigger inside than it appeared outside. The menu was hanging above the resisters and it was more extensive than what I had previously seen in past restaurants-In fact, there were so many items that my friends and I were all staring at it with furrows in our brows, making it look like we were trying to solve a  complicated puzzle in our heads. Our deliberate yet delayed attempts, apparently, made the 4 counter ladies very angry. There were no other customers waiting to order, and these mini-pit bulls kept grunting in their bothered eastern-eurpopean accents if we were ready or not. This was really annoying and kind of rude-It was like being reminded over again of their impatience and distaste for customers needing a few moments. What's the issue? is someone going to die if the line does not clear right away?
I decided to go with an italian beef sandwich. It was pretty good-better than usual italian beefs that I've had. It was moist, flavorful and big. I could have eaten it in two meals (but I'm a light eater). My friends seemed to enjoy their food as well, they got burgers and hotdogs. Overall, this place is A-Ok, but I would not make out a special trip to go here unless it's someone else's idea and we're running out of places to go.
I thought there was going to be a long line but it was a bunch of people standing in front of me waiting for the order I got called right to the front when they all stepped aside. Place is busy! Salad was great. I forgot about this place between the time I created the draft review on my cell and now. Now that I remember it I will definately go back! Felt like a family ran place too, a bonus in my book!
