Great traditional Turkish meals here. It might not be the fanciest Turkish restaurant but the food is the best. And Turkish tea...
About the looks when you walk-in: its not that you look like an alien, its just people hanging out there mostly know each other and its a tradition to welcome people that walks-in. As usually men are hanging out there, going there by yourself(for ladies) may be a little unconfortable.
Breakfast plate along with tea is highly recommended...
This is a Taxi Driver's hang out, with awesome, inexpensive and HALAL food. Â If you are a girl, I do not recommend going here alone. Â But, if you go with a group of friends, it is better. Â The kebab here is A MAZ ING. Â I cannot wait to try the Pide /Lamacun. Â I think the owner is Turkish, and one of the chefs is eithe Tajik or Turkmen or Khazak or Uzbek. Â So Turkish is spoken here, and it is under the Irving Park Brown Line. Â Cash Only.
