Restaurant Review
Da Vito! There is something special about the bread that Jimmy John makes for their subs that is better than Subway. I recently had a chance to stop in this location to get a quick lunch using a gift card that was not accepted at another location due to a broken card reader. The service is ridiculously fast. After paying my sandwich was already ready. I guess they live up to their radio ad, freaky fast. The only downside for JJ is the sandwich is not quite filling and somewhat expensive compared to the footlong subway. Oh well I still like the fatty goodness of salami in my sandwich!
Pro- super fast service, large sandwich selection
Con- small size of subs, pricey given what you pay
Hidden deal- Order online to have your sandwich ready for pickup
I'm a big fan of Jimmy John's. Â I get JJ sandwiches often when on the road because they're inexpensive, easy to eat, and delicious. Â #12 no mayo to me is about as good as a basic sub sandwich gets. Â But in the future, I'm going to steer clear of this franchise when I need my Jimmy fix. Â
The main issue was the restroom, which was quite possibly the dirtiest public restroom that I have ever seen. Â I'll skip the details in this case, because you definitely don't want to hear them.
Moral of the story: come here for sandwiches, and hold it in until you get to a cleaner public restroom.
It took 7 minutes from when I placed my order online today to when the front desk at my office called me that Jimmy John's had arrived. 7 minutes!!!!!!! During peak lunch hour delivery time! It usually takes longer than that to get an elevator in this building! They REALLY mean "Subs so fast you'll freak"!
My order was 100% accurate and I had several modifiers on my sandwich. Their website is very user friendly and the delivery guy was also very engaging and polite. I would DEFINITELY recommend this Jimmy John's to anyone! Â Standard Jimmy John's as far as taste and quality---I've yet to have a bad experience or bad tasting sandwich at any of this chain's locations.
OK!
When they say fast.... Â They are SICK fast! Â I kid you not, they had my sandwich in my hand before the credit card machine finished printing my receipt. Â I mean seriously...that is FAST!
I can remember back in the day when I was in Austin and we would get JJ at Town North Nissan, the guys at that JJ were so fast that by the time you figured out where to get the cash from; BAM! they were there!
So as for the quality of food, it is GREAT and the people are AWESOME as well. Â
Bottom line:
FAST, Friendly, FAST, Clean, Local, FAST, and Big Smiles!
I am a Chicago native who defected to LA for a long time and had yet to try the legendary Jimmy John's. The truth is that each time I visited, there was just so much offered, I never got around to it.
So I was anxious to try one in my new neighborhood, near Clark/Division.
I have to say it was one of the best sandwiches I've ever had! The staff was so friendly, the place was immaculate, and they have a clean bathroom.
And -- they offer this great deal on bread -- I got a couple of loaves for just $.50 each ... it's great to use for all sorts of things. I wouldn't dream of trying to make my own sandwich -- I'll leave that to the pros at Jimmy John's!
Oh, and they deliver! That's great to know, too!
This would be my second favorite JJ in the greater Streeterville area. Â After an awful day at work, there it was, a oasis of greatness ... a bastion of hope. Â It was little messy inside, but you know what? Â It's brand new, who cares. Â Their country club was still awesome, as were the jalapeno kettle chips, as ushe ... plus they had Cherry Coke in their fountain machine. Â TRIPLE BONUS!
Not only that, apparently, Jimmy Johns has started doing sandwich cards, so guess who grabbed some of that action?
I've never met a Jimmy John's I didn't like, and the this location being across the street from my office makes me love it even more. This has to be the freakiest-of-the-fastest Jimmy John's I've ever been to, even during the lunch rush.
Consistently top notch & in and out in under 3 minutes... if only I could say the same for ex-boyfriends.
JJ's, you never disappoint.
