The first time I went to this Jimmy Johns, I was a victim of the infamous Jimmy Johns sprouts incident. After getting food poisoning from this location, I informed the manager as well as corporate of what happened and neither cared. The only response I received as an I'm sorry and if I wanted a free sandwich. After being dehydrated and sick to a disgusting point I've never been before, the last thing I wanted as another sandwich. This location could careless about the well being of their customers.

Today I was cut off in traffic by one of their delivery boys on a bike as he ran a red light and cut through oncoming traffic. I almost hit him. Then HE flips me off right in front of my car filled with children. Then he parks his bike and walks into the sandwich shop. I am a customer of this place, or was. I called the manager and I will get back to you all....

AVOID and NEVER ORDER DELIVERY FROM THIS PLACE.

The management must be the problem here. I had been waiting for 30 minutes and I called to see what was up. I was told that the biker had left and should be there in a couple minutes. 15 minutes later, no show. I called again and some guy answered who must have been the manager. He said "yeah its because I only have one driver and a bunch of orders came in, we are really busy and the weather is bad." I said "it's sunny out are you kidding?" and the guy hung up.

5 minutes later the biker finally shows up and was rude at that. Wouldn't look me in the face and stared off in the distance and just handed the receipt for me to sign with a little "Sorry, I'm late." Yeah just a little buddy.

I'll  never order from this disgrace of a Jimmy John's again. They used to be good.

As he was making my sandwich, the employee was eating the inside pieces of the bread, pulling pieces out and then eating them with his gloved fingers.  He ate several pieces right in front of me AS he was making my sandwich.  That is disgusting and against health code.  I call to say something and I get "Ok I'll talk to him about it."

They also make the sandwiches incorrectly frequently.  The employees are not managed properly, management must be bad- they are unsanitary and they curse loudly in front of customers.  It's not difficult, its a sandwich shop.

THIEVES!!!  DON'T ORDER HERE.  DON'T GO HERE.  NOT ONLY DO THEY STEAL, BUT THE FOOD AT THIS LOCATION ISN'T FRESH AND IT HAS AN ODD TASTE TO IT.

READ THE OTHER REVIEWS ABOUT THIS LOCATION - I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE.  NASTY!!!

I ordered a single sandwich from these jerks online.  They brought two of the same sandwich to my door and MADE me pay for both!!!  Not wanting to get the delivery boy in trouble, I did so and  contacted customer service to let them know of their error and that, thanks to my trusty iPhone, I had a screenshot of the order for ONE sandwich.

They asked for the photo, I sent it and a supervisor called me up.  He agreed they had messed up, apologized and promised that the store would contact me to rectify the situation in the next few days.  No call.  A few weeks goes by so I send another email.  NOTHING!  Yes, it's $8, but it's the principal!!!  I guess they care more about $8 bucks than a customer.

THE SANDWICH WAS GROSS, TOO!!!  I've been to other locations and it doesn't taste vile like this one...bad management!!!

First, the food. With a chain like this you should know what to expect. The food at this location meets my expectations in comparison to other Jimmy Johns. It's better than Subway, worse than Potbelly's. In my book that's 3 stars for food.

Now, to describe a particularly bad service experience I had here. I often order from either Potbelly's or Jimmy Johns when I work from home. I avoid ordering during lunch hours, and often order at 3PM-ish. If I'm too impatient to wait I go with JJ's, if I don't mind waiting for traditional delivery times of 45+ mins I go with Potbelly's.

Monday, February 28 I was hungry and didn't feel like waiting an hour. I've had this JJ's deliver as fast as 10 minutes (freaky!) and as slow as 30 minutes. However, this Monday over 60 minutes had elapsed without my food being delivered. Now, I don't expect miracles, for all I know a driver quit, got hit by a bus, or some other unforeseen circumstance. I would expect a courtesy call from the restaurant letting me know that I should adjust my expectations. At the 60 minute mark I called.

The manager (I *think* her name was Eileen?) answered. I let her know I had been waiting 60 minutes and asked for a status update. She said they had a delay and the driver should be knocking on my door any minute. I said thanks and ended the call.

Twenty minutes pass, no food. I am now annoyed and starving. I call the restaurant again intending to cancel my order. The manager answers again. I let her know that I was the guy who called 20 minutes ago and still had not received my food. She interrupts, stating that she will call her driver and find out what is going on, and puts me on hold.

A few seconds into the hold my doorbell rings (of course). It is the driver. I say nothing, sign the receipt and take my food. The driver was not on his phone at this time. I watched him as he was walking back to his car, he did not answer a phone (he didn't have an earpiece either).

As soon as the driver reaches his car the manager comes back on the line and says in a rude tone: "I just spoke to my driver and he said he delivered the food already". I let her know that he had *just* delivered the food while I was on hold. She responds with "Look. I'm not giving you a free sandwich, you can call the owner Ken tomorrow." WTF? I wasn't asking for free anything. I said thank you and ended the call.

A few minutes later I noticed that a bag of chips was missing from my order. I called the restaurant again, the manager answers. Upon informing her she states "I know that there are chips because I put them in the bag myself." I assure her there are not.

I then start to lecture her on how annoyed I am with all of this, most of all the ridiculously long wait with no initiative on her part. She has the gall to say "Well you should have told me that the driver had already delivered the food when you called the first time". WTF?

When I tell her that it's ridiculous that she would imply that I was lying  in order to get a free sandwich she pulls the, "I didn't say you were lying, don't put words into my mouth," card. Sigh, one of these idiots.

Anyway, I called the owner the next day and bitched to him about his terrible manager. He listened, giving me a free sandwich & chips on my next order. I got the feeling that he was going to do nothing about his manager though.

CHECK your order before you go.
There were about 7 people in the store, and I stepped up and ordered a Turkey Tom.  I wait for about 1 minute and "Shy Ronnie" behind the counter mumbled something, looked at me, gestured that this was my sandwich and put it in my hand.  I took off and drove 5 miles back to work.  I'm super hungry and pretty excited for my sandwich, but when I open it up it's tuna (I don't eat fish).  I was pretty bummed out so I call the place.  I'm pretty sure I spoke with that same guy who other reviewers complained about here in yelp.  He says "you grabbed the wrong sandwich", and to "come back and I'll exchange it".  I said "no you're guy gave me the wrong sandwich", and that I was 5 miles away and didn't want to come back.  He said there was nothing he could do.
I mean come on, I'm willing to say it might have been half my fault for not double checking, but shouldn't his guy have double checked before just looking at me and gesturing to me.  Give me a credit for a new sandwich... Or at the very least half off.  Is one little sub worth alienating a customer for?  How about a little customer service?

It's a bummer because I really like Jimmy Johns.

I've been going to this jimmy john's for a few years and decided that they have been so kind I'd yelp them! staff is always friendly. They know my order usually by heart. My brother always goes in and he know them all very well too! thumbs up to the veggie sub with salt and vinegar chips!
    Free drink refills!

p.s. If you are in the neighborhood they have bike delivery!

They are so fast you'll freak!  Seriously, fast.  Park in front, run in, order, pay, its ready - out in less than a minute.

I'm a big fan.  Their skinny chips are like crack and I think they put a chemical in their pop, their diet coke is super refreshing somehow and I can drink a large one in a minute if I don't watch out!  The sandwiches are good, if you get them when the bread is fresh they are soooooo good.

I took a star away because they close so early!  It sucks to get psyched up for something and to go at like 9:00 and it be closed!  They should stay open until 11 at least.

Confession: This is the first time I had Jimmy Johns. I had the Slim Turkey Tom. It was really good. The bread is a little flavorless, but the texture is excellent.

But the delivery guy took more than an hour to get here. Don't mess with the angry Korean girl.

I love this place, but it closes at 8pm.  Seems quite early for my taste.  Get the Turkey Tom.

I think I've sworn by this N Clybourn Jimmy Johns than the one on N Lincoln. N Clybourn has nice people making my sandwhiches and if I ever want extra lettuce or onions, they GIVE it to me. and their homemade oil and vinegrette for the Vito doesn't taste bad either. So if you're a potbelly's lover but don't like to wait in line for a small sandwhich that is similar in price to Jimmy Johns, go to Jimmy Johns if you don't want a line and a bigger sandwhich for the same price. not might taste as good as Potbelly's but it def taste good when u are hungry!

My affection for Jimmy John will never exceed my affection for Potbelly's but he does make a tasty sandwich.  I really wish they had wheat sub rolls because the wheat bread here does nothing for me.   Sometimes the sandwiches could use more MEAT because the bread is big and hunky (Just like Jimmy himself, wink wink).

Since this location is in my hood, I will stop in from time to time.  I really like the guy who makes my sandwiches because he is about as no-nonsense as you can get.  I almost always get the Big John (just because I like to say it) with mustard and no Mayo.  May-no!  One bad thing is JJ's closes at 8PM and sometimes I cannot get my bum over there by then.  And as a late-night option, it's totally out.
