  Love to get my seafood here,i'm sure most yelpers know this place,they specialize in fried fish,shrimp,and chicken,i personally like the lemon pepper they add to there food,i would've gave them 5 stars except my last trip they gave us stale bread.....-_-

  i only went to JJ fish because Hooks on Ogden was misusing their fryer and burned the place down. i miss Hooks, but JJ's has pretty great fries. Also, my "students" like going there for a "nice meal" when i offer to treat them. that's sweet of them isn't it?

  This is so not good. The fries are batter covered and then after frying are sprinkled with a salt/pepper/sugar mix and the oil leaves a funny after-taste. The fish was greasy and also sprinkled with a funky sugary/seasoning mixture. The fish was also tasteless. Not good at all. I would rather go to Wallace's on Madison & California. The environment is far more sketchy, but the food is incredible...and not much more money. But, yes, Kumal was very charming.

  So what's up with all the fish places in Chicago serving a hot bbq type sauce with the fish? What happened to tarter?
  
  Fish: Thin crispy batter, not awesome, just palatable.
  
  Chicken: OMG awesome! Fall off the bone chicken wings, yeah!

  This one is for Kumal,  he is great.  He is the owner and I went over there after visiting Dr. Davis at Americas Best.  The chicken is great, but be prepared to be full.  Maybe even a bit extra full.
