    Fun, unique experience
It's always a great time here at Kit Kat and the staff is so inviting and friendly! Around dinner time they have performers come out and sing/interact with the crowd. They usually have holiday specials for dinner and a show.

What a riot! We came here with a group of 8 for a bachelorette party and were well taken care of.

Our bride was one of about three other women celebrating their "last fling before the ring" and it was the perfect spot to have some fun. Every 15 min a girl comes out and shakes it for tips, so don't be stingy and they will show you some love.

The drinks were strong, the music was good, we had a ball

Fun atmosphere! Love that a drag queen sings every hour to keep you in a lively mood.  The food is great for brunch (and dinner too).  I recommend the chicken and waffles.  The times, I have been Madame X has performed and sung live.  Amazing.  Love this place and love the owner too.  Yes its pricey but you get alot for it and its a guaranteed good time.  Where else can you eat chicken and waffles while watching a drag queen do a medley of songs that includes Rihanna's "Diamonds" and "Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend" with costume surprises and all???!!!!

I want to go with 3.5.

I thought the pasta and salad were very tasty. The drinks were pretty good - expensive for the quality of alcohol though. The performer was entertaining. But the bartender was the most pompous, rude bartender I've ever interacted with - and it was the shortest interaction possible. Cleanliness was also not a major concern of theirs.

I'm glad I went, but it was probably a one time thing for me.

I went to the club this past weekend (Saturday night) with some family that was in town. I thought it woudl be fun. Have you ever walked into a place, were excited, and then it was SUCH a let down because the cost, or they just didnt have anything that you wanted? Well.. here we go.

First - When I walked in at 645, the host said (with an attitude), you MUST be out by 8pm. WHAT? Seriously, either you want my money for as long as I want to stay here, or you don't. Incredibly rude.

Second -  You would expect that since this is a CLUB, that they would have more bar selections. They don't. Very limited selections based on their very overpriced coctail menu. It is geared to make you want the 'girly' drink, and pay out of the nose. Way overpriced for what you get.

Third, the menu is a single page significantly over priced selection of mediocre food. I had the stuffed portabello mushroom for I think $15 which had absolutely no flavor. My cousin had the shrimp coctail that looked like they dumped it out of one of those little bottles you find in the grocery store. YUCK.

The drag was fabulous..don't get me wrong, but boy does this place rape you. They should have at least bought you dinner before doing that. :-)

In all seriousness, I was never more disappointed in my life to walk into this place. I am very proud of my city (Chicago) and love that the bars and clubs support the people. I honestly felt disserviced by Kit Kat Club. Treated rudely at the door, asked to be out by 8, limited bar selection for a BAR, and completely over over priced bad food.

Kit Kat Club - Put on your mittens and get to work fixing this. I won't be back until you do and I will tell everyone about my experience.

This is a fun place especially for a bachelorette  party.  There are so many drinks to chose from, however, I was not a fan of the food.  I would recommend going with a huge group of people.  It much more fun that way.  The decor is super cute in here also.

And now it is time to lip sync for your life!

So you want to know the "T" for Kit Kat Lounge. Oh girl, I will tell you the "T". This place is sickening. I am telling you to bring yo dollas, bring yo credit cards, eat something before hand and lez do this!

I usually go to Kit Kat Lounge with a bunch of friends. Never the same people always different. I love showing people this place because it is unpretentious and they have good food and drinks. I love all their servers and bartenders they all definitely have great personalities. One bartender has an attitude, but maybe that was because he has an attitude and no one wants to tip the Grinch.. boo.

Food: is only served until a certain time like most places. All items are good, but it is the drinks I come for.

Drinks:  Martinis are their specialty, but I have gotten other drinks here and all were made well. Martinis I personally recommend - Lady Gaga, Lava Lamp, and French Pear Martini.  Lady Gaga is hypnotic, with some other fruity la la stuff, rock candy, and a glow stick. Anything with candy and a glow stick should get some sort of reward, now combine that with alcohol and you got yourself a phucked up night. Lava Lamp is basically vodka with a jello shot  in a drink. Yeah, be careful boo boos. French Pear Martini is more of the sweeter drink, but still delish. A couple of these strong martinis and little Jessica is ready to twerk... OHKAY!?

Speaking of twerking, the Divas here will twerk for some dollars hunnay and lemme tell you they work! When you come here always tip your bartenders and always tip these lovely ladies because they are awesome. I appreciate what they do and I have to say they lip sync for their life and they dont phuck it up.

Notes of advice.. call ahead for a table or come after the bachelorette parties leave because you will not be able to sit down.

So many good weekends have been spent here so phuck yo basic spot and try something new, something sickening, something that meows and purrs, something like Kit Kat

Restaurant experience was fun. But food was overpriced, oversalted and under-seasoned.  When I pay $23 for a piece of salmon in downtown Chicago, I expect more than hotel-room-service fish. Well at least cooked well, it was waaaay too salty with no other seasoning.  The rice that was served with it was bland, over-salted as well, and overcooked mush. Along side that was some over-cooked spinach that was ... you guessed it: oversalted.  (If I had to guess, the chef is a major smoker and has killed his/her tastebuds). The tortellini my friend got was so heavy that she could barely eat it.  Overall, in looking at what my table of 8 was served, I don't know that anyone was truly happy with their food. It was edible, but not really good. I'm pickier than most, so I just had trouble getting past it.

The ambiance is indeed awesome.  If you want a place for a special-occasion that is loud, fun, where you can drink (really expensive) cocktails and flirt with a drag performer, I guess this is an option.  But my boyfriend knows better than to take me back to a place with food this mediocre.

I came to the Kit Kat Lounge with a few girlfriends on a Friday night.  We had purchased the prefixed Groupon.  Unfortunately, we were stuck in the back room away from the bar and action.  We were greeted promptly and put in our orders right away.  It was a bit of a disappointment that when the performance began she spent all of a minute in the back room! (I am not exaggerating.)  She didn't even look towards us and we were trying to give her tips. Odd?  The outfits were sexy and I really liked all of the songs. I also thought the martinis were delicous-  I got the Lady Gaga which came with a glow stick (how fun!)  We all felt very Sex & the City coming here.  The food was just okay though.  I would consider coming back for drinks at the bar & hopefully catch more of a show.

Kit Kat Lounge was A LOT OF FUN. BAH! I would totally go again!

We made reservations, but when we got there, the host couldn't find our name. He went to the back to talk to someone else, and within minutes we were seated. The staff, including our waiter, were all extremely nice, polite, and friendly.

The decor is very cute. It reminded me of Violet Hour, but not as pretentious!!

There's a huge martini selection. I don't drink alcohol (hello, Asian flush/alcohol intolerance), but my friends got the bellini-tini and the chocolate martini. They were both reportedly delicious (my tonic water with lime was also good, thanks).

I also have to say I like this place because they give you pretzel rolls. YUM.

The food was really good, and a bit more expensive than I realized. It's worth it though, because there are "shows" every 20 min. A girl comes out and lipsyncs around the room. It's a lot of fun because she really knows how to work the room and shakes everything she's got! She is really good at posing for pictures too. She made sure we had our picture before she moved on to the next table.

    Bring dollar bills!!!

I think the Kit Kat Lounge's ~3.5 star rating is quite fair. Expensive, but not ludicrous.  Half off typically priced $12 martinis and another special of $5 mojitos on a Thurs. night is dece for the area.  Our waiter, while new, was very attentive, friendly, and informative.  I really appreciated the honesty in him reviewing our bill with us, which we used a Groupon;  He told us (while I did already know) that tip was included in the bill.  An extra tip for you there, pal. The queen was legit, performing a few songs every 45-60 minutes, perhaps.  Limited dinner menu (and even more limited if you do use the groupon), but I enjoyed everything I ordered, particularly  the James Cagney.  Tiny changes could make this place a bit more deserving of the 4-5 star range:  bit larger dinner menu, slight decrease in price for dinner/drinks, less forced engagement of audience members who may already be outside of their comfort zone just by being there and more focus on the loud crew/extremely comfortable folks (please note, I got motorboated...or did I motorboat...whichever it was, I was more than a-ok, much like this review, with the experience), more bathrooms, and returned phone calls when attempting to make a reservation/leaving a voicemail.  Fun place that I wouldn't mind going back to and wouldn't mind not going back to.

I somehow found myself underneath the dress of Miss Traci Ross.

There are no typos in that sentence. Nope. None.

Figures that I would finally venture to Kit Kat months after I moved out of Boystown. Wednesdays have a pretty cool special going on. Half priced martinis and buy one, get one free entrees. I took off a star because the food menu isn't that large and while the entrees my friends ordered looked nice, nothing was appealing to me enough to make me want to order one of my own (it is worth nothing that their entrees came out to the table quite quickly. As did the drinks. So kudos for the prompt service). Their martini menu was more than abundant. The waiter was able to take the extremely vague and ridiculous description of the type of drinks I like and bring me something that was perfect for me...though I don't know the name of it. Btw, the drinks are wonderfully named. While it could be a very different on weekends (many lounges/clubs/bars are), Wednesday at Kit Kat was definitely entertaining.

Until we meet again, Miss Ross.

Loved the attention on my birthday. Take dollar bills for the entertainment because these girls rock it out. I am familiar with the "girls", but today they had a special artist from Australia, and she was elegant and sophisticated also. In the audience was also a very well known Broadway Star, but I can't remember her name exactly.

I had an awesome time and just enjoyed a birthday that really made me smile. Although Kit Kat lounge is by reservation only, its a fun time to be had by all. I actually saw some co workers who I work with at the next table also, although their party was so much bigger, it still was fun.

Food of course is small portions since this is more of a converation spot and can be a bit pricey, but yuou get a good amount and the drinks are just heaven. If you like Martini's, they have one of the biggest bibles of Martini's I have ever seen. You will not be thristy after this since the drinks are beyond amazing.

Take of course extra cash because these girls do get tipped, and if you are one of the lucky ones, you may get all the attention needed when the tipping begins.

Although its a good setting, having a large group will get you a bigger table.

Intimate bar. Popular with bachelorette parties for some reason. It's in Boystown & what I'd consider a gay bar, but has a majority straight patronage. Gets quiet very early for Boystown. Come early if you want to see a drag performance.

I wish I would have wrote this months ago... I have been frequenting the Kit Kat since approx May/2012. Always right after work and on Tues or Wed. Their food is TDF/Fab! A personal favorite... the Brie Grilled Cheese! Fantastic but went this week and they changed it! (Said due to unfavorable reviews of it) I thought it Fab like no other! pear chutney... mmm... anyway... the grilled cheese (Brie) is still there but not exactly as it was :(
The martini's are the best! atmosphere is fun and cozy! EVERYDAY there is a drink and food special!! (Tues = 1/2 off apps and martini's) and all the vintage DIVA movies playing full wall screens :)

Went for an event and has a great time. The entertainment was spot on and really put on a great show! There is an extensive drink menu and the martini's are great! Food was pretty good but over all it was about the show! Can't wait to go back. I was able to go on a week night and avoid the mass crowds on the weekend. I think this is the way to go!

Went on Election Night! They had 6+ projectors set up and tuned to CNN the whole time, which my friend and I thought was pretty great. They also muted CNN at certain intervals for the drag show, which was a welcome break from some dry newscasters. The space was a little cramped for such an event, but the atmosphere was perfect.

It was a Tuesday, so half price martinis and appetizers. (Half price was $6). I had the Chocolate/Raspberry truffle martini and the Key Lime Pie one. Both delicious.

We were also blown away by the food. So good! Bacon mac and cheese, chicken satays and grilled cheese. Cannot wait to go back and try more.

    Oh yeah.. super clean bathrooms!!

I came here with a large bachelorette party on a Saturday night. The bride-to-be had fun, which is all that matters, but I wasn't very impressed.

We had reservations for 8pm. ALWAYS make reservations for a Saturday night. We went with the dinner package - $55, plus gratuity, for 2 martinis, salad, appetizers, a main entree, and a mini cupcake dessert. Apparently, we were supposed to get some kind of goody bags for an extra $10/person, which the bridesmaid who planned the event told us about. No bags, no extra charge per person, and no mention of this at all from our waiter. Oh well, who wants a goody bag anyways?

No food item was phenomenal. The Cesar salad had too much dressing, the calamari was a little rubbery, the truffle mac and cheese didn't have much, if any, truffle oil, etc. For my main dish, I chose salmon. It was blah. Oh, and the timing of the food was off too. Some people in our party had their plates a good 10 minutes before others. It was awkward as we waited for everyone's food to come out. Who wants to eat cold salmon?

I will say that the one bright spot of the night were the martinis. The list was extensive, and all were very tasty. They were even brought out much faster after ordering than I anticipated. The alcohol in them though, was lacking. 2 martinis in, and I was feeling nothing. I had the caramel apple and the french pear. Both were very good, just not very alcoholic.

As for the drag show, it was OK. I had never been there before, so I didn't know what to expect, but I wasn't impressed. Every so often - maybe 30 minutes or so - a performer came out and lip synced to a couple songs. People held up dollars, and she came over to get them, smiled at you, and went on with her show. There isn't a stage or anything, so she was just kind of singing and dancing in the main aisle of the restaurant. Not sure what I did expect, but it was more than that.

Note that for Saturday evenings, the reservation time is for 2 hours, meaning once you're nearing the end of the 2 hours, they rush you out. I was a little taken aback, as our main entrees didn't come out until about 9:30, and we still had the dessert coming when the server started talking about the check.

Finally, maybe this was just our group, but we were approached by party promoters for another club on Halsted while we were eating our meal. He just came up to our table, started talking about his club, and passed out cards. I'm there for dinner and a show, not for a sales pitch. I feel that Kit Kat should do a better job preventing that sort of thing.

We came here for a bachelorette package on a Saturday night.  I was really taken by surprised by how FABULOUS it was!

The martini list was extensive and everything was not only strong, but delicious!  The most delicious part of the night (other than the performers!) was the food.  We were blown away about what was served.  The shared appetizers were a great start, and my salmon was perfect!  It was cooked perfectly, paired with a really sticky and flavorful rice, and some sort of unbelievable sauce that I would have ordered as a martini by itself!

This is such a fun place to go with friends, enjoy some live entertainment and a great meal!

    9/25 9PM

I've never been to a a restaurant, bar or business that charged gratuity to a party of four. I was so confused by it all.

We started out by having drinks waiting for some friends...(they were lost so we decided to order ahead.) Two martinis, we ordered the calamari and then asked about the crab cake...where the waiter turned his nose up and said it was kind of fishy...(ew) so I went for the truffle fries...

We get the calamari...it's ok. Nothing amazing, same thing you could get from a fast food italian restaurant. Truffle fries were missing the truffle oil....there was definitely only parm on them.

anyhow...our friends joined in...ordered half the menu...we had a ton more martinis...and we get the check and there's gratuity...

Now the service was meh ok...but I always tip 18 to 20%....KARMA....

I was annoyed that it was added...I checked the menu to see if there was a noticed that gratuity was added at a certain time...i was annoyed our server didn't mention it.

    just bad business.

AND DO NOT GET YOUR CARDS READ lol we had $15 to throw away so we did it for giggles....she was definitely drunk or buzzed and had no idea what she was talking about....what a scam.

Yummy and delicious cocktails...no pun intended:-)

The Kit Kat Klub offers a great outdoor seating area, that accompanies a modern and fresh "supper club". Make reservations!! I recently hosted a bachelorette party here, and we had a  fantastic time with the tableside show's by Sunny Delight... I am jealous!

The food is delightful, the martinis are endless in choices, and the service extraordinary. The party packages can be a little confusing, but they certainly accommodate everything; even my three Vegan friends:) Seriously, who doesn't want to order a 'porn star' with dinner?

Highly recommended for any fun occasion; be mindful there is no valet parking.

OK, I'm a fan of drag queens, nice food, and fancy booze offerings and this place did not disappoint. There's a fancy martini menu with all kinds of girly drinks--as in, heavy on cream and sugar and decadence-- but they were delicious.

During dinner service at regular intervals, ladies in high camp outfit sashay around the room and lip sync to their chosen songs that imitate current divas (although I distinctly remember a Nina Simone cover). The wait for food wasn't intolerable for us, like others would suggest, and they name all their entrees after notable TV and film stars with a certain panache ("Marlon Brando," "Bea Aurthur," "Elizabeth Taylor"). There are totally vegetarian options on lock, and they do them well, so don't stress if that's your thing.

It's cabaret drag theater, so if you are amused by that you'll do just fine.

It takes a lot of balls to hang a large sign above your door proclaiming "the BEST brunch in Lakeview". Fortunately the Kit Kat has these balls. Granted, they are taped back and covered in sparkle...I digress.

Sunday brunch is such a fun time here. You get unlimited mimosas, sangria and bloody mary's for only $10, in addition to your brunch entree. The "girls" do performances. They have a huge outdoor patio area (although you don't get to see the "girls" perform if you sit outside). Service is always impeccable. And gorgeous. Best man-candy in the city.

Food has been somewhat inconsistent. One weekend, it's perfect. The next, too much butter on everything. Then, half the entrees are overcooked and half are perfect. The potential is there, though.

Since I live nearby, I will also drop in for half-price martinis, which is pretty much any night but Friday and Saturday. They do tend to be a little sugary, but they are also strong, so I find myself only needing 2 or 3 tops. And again, service for either day or night is always exceptional and the interior decor is very sexy and fun.

I would avoid on a Friday or Saturday night, unless you are part of a bachelorette group. But definitely give their brunch a try. Try to make a reservation if possible. I like being inside to see the performances. EXCEPT for when the performer doesn't know the words to the song she is performing and half-ass jiggles her fake tits and calls it dancing. Everybody knows the words to Firework by Katy Perry, whether we care to admit it or not. There are too many amazing performers in Boystown to let someone not bring it every time.

Sorry, talking about drag queens gets me dramatic ;-)

Came for a bachelorette party- fun atmosphere, lively crowd.  Martinis are fantastic. Food is just okay.  Desserts are horrible.

I have been meaning to try this place for brunch, but the first time I was able to get here was after picking up a friend from the airport who wanted to see Boystown first thing. We came here for martinis on a Tuesday (they're 1/2 price then, so most are 6 bucks).

Though they have a wide (really wide) variety of martinis, I think it almost might be too much. It seems they aren't able to execute most of them because it's all over the place. The quality of some of the ingredients seemed syrupy and from concentrate. If they themselves concentrated more on the ingredients, they could shave their menu in half (or even 3/4) and have some really kick ass martinis. There's just way too much to choose from that kind of takes away from the quality, unfortunately.
I chose to get a pineapple mojito after a few drinks, and the mint wasn't muddled, I couldn't taste pineapple, and it tasted like one of those freeze pops in the plastic. Basically sugar.

Service was okay, seemed to take a very long time for some of our drinks to come out. Oh well, we weren't in a rush, but it just seemed a little lazy.

I'm not giving it less than 3 stars because I believe brunch would be better.

Amazing martini list, best I've ever seen. The food isn't too bad either!

I went here last night for my friend's bachelorette party, and it was quite fun for a different experience. Everything I ate was excellent (the salad, calamari, chicken satay, and the Rock Hudsen) except dessert which was part of the package deal and tasted like it may have been purchased from the freezer section at Jewel.

The place is quite cramped with screaming ladies, which is normally my nightmare, but with the great food, beautiful performers and staff, and an amazing drink selection, I ended up having more fun than I thought I would. For the amount we paid for our package deal, I was hoping we might have been treated a little better (they moved our party to a different table twice and we ended up by the bathroom and bathroom line). They brought us a round of free 'lemon drops' for our trouble, but I'm not sure there was actually any vodka in them, haha.

So, it's a pricey night and you have to be willing to overlook a few things to relax and have fun. But if you can roll with it, this is definitely an experience worth having.

    This place is fab-u-lous *snap*

I've been coming here for the past two years, and I never leave disappointed. Kit-Kat is famous for their extensive variety of martinis, but they also have other mixed drinks that they will surely make for you such as mojitos and sangiras etc..

Best night to come are the half off martini nights, which there are several ($5 a piece rather than the usual $10, score!). Plus every night there's a vixenous diva performing just strutting her stuff around the bar while people's be boozin. Overall, this place has a really great vibe. Knowing that such a place exists makes it hard for one to not be an alcoholic.

The coco banana martini is my fav. It tastes like rich chocolate and sweet banana. It simply makes me go bananas.

The martinis are awesome, and they're very true to their word. if you order a martini that's called caramel apple, it will for damn sure taste like it's an alcoholic halloween treat. The martinis are also very inviting in the sense that each martini is garnished and presented in a different way. This makes makes it waay more fun to drink these things. I once ordered a martini that was garnished with a homo-erotic playing card. I kept it and would occasionally slip the card to one of my classmates during long and bone dry lectures in school, just to make class a bit more exciting ya know  ;) What can i say, i'm full of surprises?

I've never tried the food but i've had the red velvet cake. It's very tasty and moist and has a nice tangy cream cheese crust to to it.

I have never had an issue with the bartenders or servers. Service has always been quick and friendly. I have also wondered how on earth the bartenders are able to make every damn martini on the super fly since there are like a million martinis on the list. Martini boot camp? brain steroids? ahh i'll never know.

Kit-Kat, i'm giving you the vulcan salute, may you live long and prosper.

    SOOOO much fun!!!

My first ever visit to Kit Kat was yesterday for Pride/Sunday Funday.  I and my husBAND decided to hang out in a bar along the parade route this year as opposed to hanging outside watching the parade.  We decided to give Kit Kat a go.  Brilliant idea!!!  We were able to watch the parade from the comfort of our bar stools.

We ate lunch before the place got insane.  They had a special Pride menu which was basically a few dishes along the lines of bar food.  The food wasn't great...just your typical bar food.

I am sure this place is not nearly as insane as it was yesterday on a normal day/night, but I have never hung out with so many awesomely nice and open minded people before.  One of our best Sunday Fundays ever!!!

Chuck the bartender is so nice and friendly...and efficient.  I had a drink in front of me at all times.  He handled the overly drunk with so much grace...and with a smile!

We will DEFINITELY be returning to Kit Kat and this will now be our Pride spot every year!!!

Wait...bathrooms!!!  For this place to have been filled with predominately drunk males, these were some of the cleanest bar bathrooms I have ever had to use!!!

I came here again last weekend with a friend to meet up with a few of our friends I haven't seen in several years. It happened to coincide with the Cher birthday celebration, which worked out perfectly since one of my friends (who is one of my former high school teachers) is obsessed with Cher. Happy coincidence!

Once again, the staff was great, the performer (again, Madame X, but this time as Cher) was ahhh-mazing, and the drinks were delish (this time I went with the snickerdoodle martini). One of my friends commented that he doesn't particularly enjoy the food all that much, but the drinks are always to die for and the entertainment is totally worth it.

I probably don't need to come back here anytime soon, only because I would hate for the novelty of drag queens to wear off. It's much more suited to a special occasion anyway (birthdays, parties, reunion martini brunches with your high school teacher, etc.) I really do think in my former life I was a drag queen - I really wish I could be one. It looks like so much fun.

Come for the show and delicious martinis. The food is hit or miss.

And now I have "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" stuck in my head after writing this review.

I booked a reservation at 11:00pm on a Saturday for my best friend's bachelorette party.  I give 2 stars because the reservation process is easy and everyone was very helpful and nice over the phone.

The night of the event was a completely different story.  I was charged a $10 deposit per person before the night of the event which was supposed to go toward our tab for that night.  I had chosen the 2 martini package that was $22.50 per person (total $337.50).  We ended up having only 12 girls (instead of the original 15) and was just charged an additional $300 to my card.  I've called 4 times and left a vm but haven't had anyone return my call.  there's no way we spent all that money considering we were all pretty much at our limit once we got there.  I don't even think most people drank their 2 martinis that they were allotted.  $450 for 12 girls that barely drank?  don't think so.

As for the space, it's teeny tiny, and apparently you're now allowed to get up and around during the "show" and your not allowed to dance or interact.  I had NO idea.  I asked the host at the door if we could interact and tip with dollars and he said "YES".  I even gave him $60 to cash in to $1's which he happily and eagerly did.  I passed them out to the girls and when the bride tried to get up and dance and tip the queen she grabbed the money and threw it in her face and yelled, "I'm not a stripper".  We definitely weren't trying to degrade her, we were under the impression that's what was encouraged.  I felt embarrassed and really wanted to leave.  I say "show" because it's basically a queen walking down the small aisle through this small space between tables.  Walks up once, shakers her good, then walks back and that's about it.

Between "shows" I try to go to the bathroom.... bad idea!!  There is ONE, I repeat ONE restroom (I think I ended up using the men's room because I couldn't hold it for 30 minutes) for all these girls.  The line is so long, drapes through the restaurant/bar/lounge and I felt like I was impeding on other people's parties.  It's just a weird place, with a lousy set-up and crappy rules.

I'm saddened to not give it a better review.  I definitely will not be back here again unless dragged.

OH Kit Kat Lounge. How do I describe your wonderfulness?!?! I took a red eye from L.A. to Chicago and was worried I would be tired the first day I was there. BOY was I wrong. We took a quick nap and walked to Kit Kat and had an incredible time with Madame X.

Madame X did Rihanna, Lady Gaga, Whitney (may she RIP) and Minaj. My omelette was only made better by her fabulousness.  Bfast was good and so were the drinks. They even had a cocktail with rubber duckys in them. LOVE.

Tip: There is usually a 5-8 minute show of an artist followed by 10 min of regular DJ. So you get a nice drag show followed by a break with good music in between. I found it to be a good mix of show/talking with friends.

I am confused by all of the hating on group events having fun -- this place was made for celebration, dancing, and good times.  Everyone needs to take a deep breath and have my personal favorite martini, french! Plus, some lucky fun martinis come with accessories - like playing cards with naked men: WIN!

The food is delicious as well - go for some ravioli or steak frites (also known as the Shirley Maclaine or the Marlon Brando) and stay for the show.  The 'Queens are fabulous, they can sing, dance, and get the crowd rolling. I've never seen such a high kick! or such ta tas!

I brought an entourage of 13 sexy friends here last Saturday for my 21st birthday! Since Sunday morning everyone has been raving about the amazing time we had at the Kit Kat Lounge. The Kit Kat was unanimously voted everyone's favorite location that night! Our entertainer, Sunny Dee-Lite, was the ultimate diva. She impersonated stars such as Cher, Pink, Katy Perry, & even Carly Rae Jepsen. All of my friends (Men and Women ages 21 to 33) including myself truly had the time of our lives. Mind you none of us had ever had the pleasure of visiting the Kit Kat until last Saturday. I actually got the idea to come here from reading yelp reviews several months ago.

We opted for the $25/person party package--2 martinis and 2 appetizers served family style. The chicken satay and Kit Kat calamari were delicious. My friend Pawel ordered the chicken and waffles; According to him his dish was extremely enjoyable. Almost everyone ordered the Lady Gaga martini at least once. Describing it as delicious may be redundant, but that's exactly what it is! The drink comes with rock candy and a glow stick. The candy does in fact complement the flavor of the martini. The glow sticks from our numerous Lady Gaga martinis somehow follow us throughout the night and continued to glow strong well into the morning!

***The Kit Kat managed to stimulate all of my senses. The drinks were scrumptious, the food smelled great, Sunny Dee-Lite looked beautiful in her array of dazzling costumes, and the music stimulated all of these factors to combine into one perfect night!

I will be back to visit the Kit Kat again very soon!

My bf and I love Chicago for many reasons, one of those being there is always a new place we can visit to get our 'eat' on - lol.

We originally talked about dinner at Vivo, but later decided we wanted to check out the menu at Kit Kat. It was not too far from where we were and we didn't feel like hopping a train or bus to get there.

First - Kit Kat is in boys' town. Self explanatory. So if you are full of judgments, keep your ignorance out of this area.

We got there, instantly acknowledged and greeted (yes I am big on that). The spot is small, but very clean, and nice. I'd say it could probably seat 75.  The soft, lighting really set off the posh, chic atmosphere and an old black and white, Gene Kelly type dance movie was projected on one of the walls and added to the entire dining experience.

We were given a menu and decided to grab appetizers - he ordered the calamari, and I ordered the chicken satay. The portions are huge and we split each appetizer. The calamari was excellent. Extremely fresh, seasoned with a tangy, yet sweet dipping sauce to complement. The chicken satay was equally as good. Medium sized, seasoned chunks of chicken placed on skewers accompanied with a peanut based dipping sauce definitely pleased our palates.
We were also impressed by "Tracy Ross", the diva who sang a few of my favorite Whitney Houston songs while we enjoyed our meals. She really worked the room and added to the overall experience of Kit Kat. To give you an idea, let's just say that everyone who walked past the restaurant outside would stop to look in to see what was going on. I am not sure if Tracy Ross performs every night or just on the weekends, but she was great.

Meals are moderately+ priced and they have a great selection of drinks available should you wish to partake.

Upon arrival, we were asked if we had reservations - we did not, but were seated anyway. If you are checking this spot out, I would probably make reservations.
    Kit Kat does not disappoint!

This place was a lot of fun. The decor was phenomonal, I absoulutely loved the black and white old movies playing. The whole white theme was great. I was very unsure how the food was going to taste....Not Disappointed! I ordered 2 appetizers as my meal- the ribs and the crab cake. Delicious! I also, tried 2 different martinis the pineapple upside down and the cocoa nana both were amazing.
Now about the show....sooooooooo FUN! I totally recommend everyone going here its a good time!

Oh Kit Kat, I giggle every time I think about that wonderful Sunday morning that we spent together.

My friend, Tim P. of LA, was visiting the city for the weekend, and since I had been wanting to test out Kit Kat for a while, we decided this would be the perfect start to our day about town.

The performance by Madame X did not disappoint, and had us up and dancing with the table to our left the entire time. We started with Whitney Houston, and made our way through Gaga and Minaj....and I enjoyed getting my groove on with the free flowing mimosas as the hours passed.

The food was good, more than enough, and the brunch drinks were never ending. I dont think I had an empty glass once. I will definitely be back with the girls to spend an evening with another one of their awesome divas!

This place was definitely more fun than I had expected.

We had a large group visit the Kit Kat Lounge for a 30th birthday party. After checking out the website, I was thinking the place was a little too pricey (and the food bad) and I assumed the dancing would be a little too cheesy. Thankfully, I was mostly wrong. The food was a little pricey but it was tasty nonetheless. The skinny fries were awesome as well. My wife commented that this was possibly one of her favorite meals EVER, but I think she may have had a few too many off the A-MAZ-ING martini list. There are some drinks we tried that seriously tasted like there was no alcohol in them (but there was)! I had a few non-martini mixed drinks but in the end I'd recommend people stick to the martini list since there are some great finds on there.

And as far as the entertainment goes, it wasn't bad. I had a drag queen sit on my lap, and I had my wife give me a bunch of singles to stuff down the dancer's shirt. All in a day's work I guess!

Finally, I wanted to comment that it's nice that they have a separated section in the back where they were having the bachelorette parties. As we all know, bachelorette parties can be quite annoying, so it was good that they separated them off from the people that were having dinner. It's a good setup for everyone!

I came to Kit Kat Lounge a few years ago and had bad experience.  Recently, I decided to meet up with some friends who were going to have dinner there, and I had a comparably bad experience.

First of all, it claims to be a martini bar, and they have about 50 martinis on their menu, but (and this in its own right should keep anyone away) they use well vodka!  And they do so at the same price as most bars charge for mid-shelf martinis.  You can pay for call liquor, but then any special (such as 1/2 of martinis) won't apply.

The first time I came, I had a bad experience regarding a drink mix-up, and the waiter not handling it very well.  This time, again I had a problem where they messed up my order.  The waiter was very nice about it, but the bartender was unwilling to admit that he made a mistake, so I had to order a new drink altogether.

The food was good, but not nearly good enough to warrant the price.  You can get food of equal quality and pay 1/2 the price at many restaurants in the area.

The only redeeming quality about this place is that is probably the most unapologetically gay establishment in Chicago.  If that's not what you're looking for, then stay away!   From the white pleather benches and leopard print chairs to the 1 disco ball per 5 square feet of ceiling, anyone who walks in expecting GAY is going to get it.  On the night I went, the drag performance was great.  She looked fantastic, and had more originality and entertainment finesse than many drag queens you'll see at other venues in Boystown.  Otherwise, I probably would have given the place one star.

In any case, I think it'll be a few years before I give this place another try, if ever.

Break me off a piece of that. . . drag queen. Kit Kat Lounge is flamboyant, entertaining and entirely inclusive. It's an environment conducive to meeting new friends, and bonding with those you know as you lip synch with drag queen Sunny Delight and go on a whirlwind voyage with Cher and Rihanna. In short, it was a hoot.

Thursday night boasted half price martinis, and the selection (as others have noted) is ridonkulous. Wow. Oddly enough I chose the Bellini Tini, fell in love, and stayed monogamous all night. Brought there quite indirectly, I wasn't sure how KKL would tickle me, but I was giggling from start to finish thanks to fabulous company and show stopping hip shaking from the exceedingly versatile queen on deck that night. Every 20 minutes the disco ball started spinning and we knew, as the bass rose, we were to pull out our dollar bills and grab hold of the side of our chairs. Gyrations were pointed, focused and ambitious. This diva knew what she was doing.

It was easy to get a reservation, the service was fantastic (thank you, Zach!). My glass was never empty and the bill was a sight for sore eyes. Unlike some others, I thought the food was justifiably priced and equally yummy. I can envision my return in a variety of flavors: girl's night out, out-of-towner treat, stop number two or three on a bar crawl or a bachelorette party. KKL has something for everyone and, believe me, everyone is invited.

I get bored really easily. I am not one of those people who can just sit someplace for hours on end without a structured activity. Because of this, you can always draw me in with the promise of a good themed event to break the monotony, which is something the Kit Kat Lounge has been able to do not once, but twice in recent months.

I came here for the first time for the production the Kit Kat Lounge put on for the royal wedding, and when I say production, I mean PRODUCTION. Huge screens playing the wedding on loop, special menu items for the event, and live entertainment. My girlfriend and I must have spent about five hours there that night. Everyone was so friendly; we ended up sharing our life stories with not only our bartender, but also the people at the bar next to us. And who doesn't love a performer who walks out on Halsted and starts performing for the cars and the people out on the street. It was a blast!

I returned yesterday because they combined two of my favorite things: Britney Spears and brunch. To be honest, their food isn't the best, but for $25 I got the $25 Prix Fixe menu which included a massive cinnamon roll (delicious), a steak skillet (good steak and eggs, but mediocre potatoes), and all-you-can drink mimosas, Bloody Mary martinis, and sangria. That is an incredible value and I probably drank my $25 alone. Keep in mind that their main draw ain't the food!

Brunch entertainment is provided by Madame X who took the time to sit down at all the tables to chat before the performance. Who doesn't love to discuss the possibility of a middle-aged Britney Spears performing at the Naperville Ribfest at some point during our lifetime? Madame X and the rest of the staff was so charming and attentive.

I can't wait to bring my mom for a night out and some I-can't-believe-this-is-getting-me-plastered-it-tastes-so-good martinis. Put on your thinking caps and get your themes ready, Kit Kat Lounge. I will be back.
