I came here almost every week for both Karaoke and Pool. Now I honestly like the asian environment but there are many stuck up Asian kids here so watch out. I come here for personal reasons but i dont like it.
About the Karaoke, it is expensive. 60 bucks for the Karaoke and the price for the food is MIND BLOWING. Â 20 bucks for a plate of fried rice?!?!? 50 for a bootleg steak? omgoodness.
Now about the pool, it's always packed. People dont end up leaving until 2 in the morning so i would recommend that you guys go to empire instead. This place is pure crap, but my friends use to drag me here even if i didnt want to.
I gave this place a 2 and not a one because I knew people there, so for a social gathering, it is a 2.
If not for the big, burly bouncer at the door, and the small "KO" on the nondescript brown exterior, I would've missed this place completely. Once inside, I felt as if I walked into any other karaoke joint on Avenue A, (except this place is mostly Chinese, and on this side of Flushing).
I was greeted by a cool, blue, neon-lit glass bar, and a bunch of small flat screens. The black leather couches sectioned off semi-private areas, which are great for groups, and the back featured two VIP rooms, perfect for people who are mic-shy and would rather have their own private areas.
The service is attentive, and the music is interesting, even when no one is singing. And even though this place is mostly patronized by Chinese groups, the friendly staff will make you feel like you're a regular even if you're non-Asian, and even if you came in for a drink only.
