Went to a friend's birthday gathering here - I don't come down to the South Loop much and was nervous about parking like the sissy I am, but I did find a spot with relative ease on 18th! It does look a little creeptastic when you walk too far west, but you should be able to find a spot pretty close to Kroll's without venturing into no-man's-land.  I'm such a wussy northsider.

ANYWAY it was busy on a Friday night, Bulls game on multiple TVs, drinks flowing, happy times.  It's a fun neighborhood restaurant and a bar, nothing really out of the ordinary but a lively place to hang out.  They had a really nice speciality beer selection which made me happy, as did the basket o' cheese curds because there is NOTHING wrong with that.

I got the chili, Cincinnati style over noodles, and it was okay.  Hoped it'd be better.  Maybe I'm a weirdo for ordering chili and a salad for dinner but I was in a weird mood.  Wished it had more seasoning and more depth, but it was basically what I expected.  Side salad was the usual completely predictable variety.

Fried appetizers here are winners for sure.  Most people liked their food but I got the impression sandwiches are hit or miss.  But it's undoubtedly a great place to watch the game and have a beer you've never tried!

Great south loop hangout. Awesome beer menu and the food is really great for a bar setting.

It's a giant sports bar that serves a full menu of food. The service and food are consistent. Consistently wonderful? Not quite. But definitely not bad.

I don't go wild with my ordering, considering it's always strange to see semi-gourmet items on a sports bar menu, however some of my food favorites are their burgers, their quesadillas, and their chocolate cake. I'm tempted to try their pulled pork sandwich and a few of their more risque appetizers.

A couple of times a week they do things like Bingo or Trivia. They also attract quite the crowd for football game days, so if you aren't into drunk Bears fans, avoid on those days at all costs.

PS: embrace your inner 12-year-old and order a milkshake; they look delicious.

Caveat, I haven't been able to have food here yet.  I live 2.3 miles away from the restaurant and was told I was out of the delivery area.

While this wouldn't normally warrant a two star review, or any at all for that matter, the way it was handled deserves it.  When I gave my address to the young lady who answered, she hung up.  I had to call back and was immediately told "We DON'T deliver past Cermak" and then she hung up again.  Cermak is three blocks south of the restaurant.

I have never heard of a restaurant having such a small deliver window. As an example, Papa John's is about four blocks from Kroll's and they deliver to our area on Bicycles.

Let me start off by saying I was born and raised in Green Bay, as were my family for like, the past 150 years. I was the first to break the mold and move to Chicago after college, and 10 years later, I'm still here, happy as a clam.

Anyway, Kroll's in Green Bay is one of those places that I have nothing but fond memories of since I was a young tot. My grandparents would bring me there for burgers and their child-sized malts. We would go there after high school football games after we got our butts mega-kicked by whatever team. Hell, I even dumped a high school boyfriend in a booth at the original Kroll's!

Well, I finally got around to trying them tonight. Since I live on the north side, I never really make it all that far south. But my office is in the Loop, and as I sit here at my desk at 7:30pm on a Sunday night, I pulled up GrubHub and saw that Kroll's delivers. *YOINK*

I realize things are more expensive in Chicago than in GB, yadda yadda ya, but I dunno, it felt a little *too* overpriced for just a burger and fries (and some fried fish and tots for the BF when I get home tonight.)

And also, being that I got delivery, I know it wasn't going to be as tasty as if I dined in.

Regardless, the burger is almost exactly as I remembered it. I'm not much of a burger girl, but my first bite into it, and I was back in a vinyl booth, sitting on a plastic booster seat, making a mess all up in heah.

So, three stars for now. Hopefully soon I can actually have a sit down meal there, and will update as 'apropos'.

I am so confused as to how Krolls gets so many 1 and 2 star reviews.  I live a few blocks away and have been here a dozen times, each time it was enjoyable.  I took my 3 year old daughter on "daddy-daughter" date night about a month ago-6pm- sat at one of the low tables by the bar area with the big screen to watch some sports (yes, the little girl  likes sports).  Our server could not have been nicer, food has always been good, was very sweet to my little one who finished up with a milkshake.  Even when I have gone with friends to drink, I have found the drinks are fine, strong enough, and they have a neighborhood discount night which we did not even ask for.  If you want to get drunk, order shots.

    Well, that is my .02.

I went into Kroll's since there is not many food and beverage options in this neighborhood not far from the convention center.  The food and service were both mediocre and I sat at the bar.  However, what really made me angry was the trivia person who was hosting trivia.  I found him to be completely obnoxious and down right offensive.  I will not get into the details about what he said but as a Penn State Alumna his comments made were extremely unprofessional. Due to this I will never go into this establishment again.

Krolls is like your neighborhood chill bar with an old school feel.  It reminded me of a mad men era kind of bar with rounded chairs and dark wood on the circular bar and the small rounded cocktail tables.  I wouldn't call it your typical old man bar, it's far better than that, there are a lot of characters here though.  We had a guy with his laptop sitting next to us, possibly blogging about us and there was a group of cops sitting near the bar just hanging out.

Lots of TVs here for prime game watching without all the annoying crowds.  And their beer selection was impeccable, they had my favorite beer here, 5 rabbit vulture!

I didn't try the food so I'll have to come back to sample that but overall a nice spot in the SL.

Great beer selection, plus draft beers were $3 on Monday night?! Most reasonable deal for a drink in Chicago that I saw in three days... This joint was within walking distance of the place we were staying and we wanted to have a nice dinner out that wouldn't break the bank. This place is definitely a homey, neighborhood bar, but neither the service or the food were outstanding.

I will say if you're there, you should try the fried cheese curds (I love, love, love cheese but was hesitant on the whole curd concept -- these were pleasantly appealing). Other than that, the rest of the food we had was so-so. My turkey club wrap was fine, but the side of guac that I ordered actually tasted rancid. Meh.

After dinner we decided to grab one more beer at the bar and the bartender was moving like she didn't quite know how to get to everyone. The bar wasn't slammed, but there were probably a dozen or so people around. My bf went to grab a beer while me and my friend went to use the restroom. We arrived at the bar and ordered beers and it took her so long to bring them that we were literally on the verge of leaving because we assumed she'd completely forgotten about them. And it was not so busy that there was any excuse to wait longer than 5 minutes for a draft beer (did I mention we were sitting in front of the tap?)...

It's not the like the krolls in Green Bay.... but, the chili and the burgers are on point with the krolls in green bay, they just don't give enough noodles in the chili to know it's there, always have to ask for extra. Pizza is good. Overall it's not bad at all.

Burgers were decent.  Chicken sandwich was lame and I added pineapple for a 1.50 - should have gave it some taste, but no.  Just go there bc the comfortable chairs, easy seating, and its close to the screen and home.

Two stars instead of one.  The fairly priced beers ranging from $5.50-$9 saved you.

Remember when you were told as a kid if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all? Yea, lost all sentiment on that one. Finally made it to Kroll's on an early Thursday evening after two years of living near South Loop. Gotta say I'm glad I wasn't expecting much.

Main pet peeve: slow service when it's not even busy!

How long does it take to fry up some chicken tenders & fries? Or bring an extra cup of bbq sauce?! By the time I got my extra bbq sauce, my food was cold. I waited so long, I finally got up and walked my empty sauce cup to the kitchen for a refill. No bueno.
The food was nothing to rave about, and neither was the beer list. I won't be in any rush to head back soon.

Been to Kroll's several times and it's been consistently decent. The service, atmosphere and food are all generally pretty good.

I'm not sure if it's good or bad but there's nothing positive or negative that really stands out about this place. I'd say everything about it is just average.

If you go when there is a game on be sure to get there early. Otherwise, there's typically plenty of seating available.

My boyfriend and I live around the corner from this location and we decided to grab some lunch from here. We decided to sit in the front bar area near the windows.

The food was nothing spectacular, it was just okay. I ordered a buffalo chicken salad and my boyfriend ordered a burger with sweet potato fries. When I received my salad, plain chicken breasts were tossed on top of the salad. It was hard to believe they called this a buffalo chicken salad and they didn't even toss the chicken in the buffalo sauce....I had to pour the buffalo sauce on the chicken myself which was interesting. My boyfriend felt the burger was just okay, but absolutely loved the sweet potato fries. And I would have to agree that sadly enough the sweet potato fries were the best thing at the table.

We continued to talk and eat lunch. About 10 minutes after we had started eating the waitress walks over to our table, placed the check down and said that she would take that when we were ready. My boyfriend and I looked at each other in shock. We had not even finished our meals halfway. There were only about 5 tables being used in the bar area so this place was not packed at all. This was the worst customer service experience I have ever had.

And to make matters worse... the waitress collected the check and asked how our food was. As I began to explain what we liked and didn't like, she just turned around and walked away from our table. I could not believe this poor customer service experience. As a local resident, I would NOT be back here EVER.

I went here again and I'm not ashamed to say I was wrong the first time. Maybe I had a bad day the first time I went here? It happens, I guess, but I must say I do like this restaurant second time around and would advise trying it. I don't know what happened the first time because it is super awesome now.

What to try? Do yourself a favor and get the tuna melt with tots. Both are excellent. The drinks are pretty good but not my thing, I kind of like alcoholic drinks that taste more like milkshakes than alcohol but that's just me. Other people might like them more; they're well-made any way about it.

    Bingo is super awesome too.

Go here. It's fun and reasonably priced. I'm sorry I had a bad experience here initially but I'd go here many more times and plan on doing just that.

I attended a co-workers going away party here last week.  While I wasn't thrilled with having to go to a sports bar, I took one for the team and went.  Besides, had to say goodbye to her and this was the only way!

Their beer selection was pretty impressive, I will admit.  I didn't have beer, I went for a cocktail--ranging from $7-10.   I enjoyed the huge Bucky Badger signs, but the loud ass game of Bingo I could have done without.  The cheese curds screamed my name, but sadly, I passed up on them.

Getting a cab afterward was easy.  Since it's way outta my way from my Edgewater 'hood, I most likely won't be back.

I've been here a couple times as well as ordered take-out since we live down the street.  They have a nice selection of beers, have lots of televisions and projector screens, and is really clean and spacious! I love how they have their dinner menu, and then a late night menu so you can still order food if it's after 10pm or so!

I love the cheese curds! I don't think I've ordered anything I didn't like...so far I've had their burgers and their angel hair pasta off their dinner menu (Artichoke Hearts. Roasted Red Pepper. Fresh Oregano. Feta.). Yum! I really want to try their cauliflower steak at some point.

I believe they also have trivia night, so we might have to stop by one of those nights!

Went here with some coworkers after an event at the McCormick Center.  Since the McDonald's-type offerings inside the center weren't sufficient, we wondered slightly north.  One of us found this place through Google reviews and decided it was our go to.

I would give the food a good 4-stars as my buffalo chicken sandwich was truly mouthwatering; the right amount of spice/sauce on a really tasty bun.  The fries were excellent as well.  Why the 2-star treatment then?  Service.  Rather, lack of service.  Our waitress was a total mess, maybe it was because our group was slightly demanding but it seems like she had a bad attitude before we even got there.  While she treated me well personally, some of my peers caught an occasional eye roll or two.

I can't speak to much else on the menu since my group did not stray from the hamburger or chicken sandwich.  If you're in the area, stop by but don't be upset if the service isn't up to par.

Butter Burger, YES please!  This place is really one I enjoy coming to.  There food is really good .... I have had many things on the menu.  There burgers and cheese curds are by far my favorite though.  I have not actually had anything I didn't like.

The place is huge and we have never had to wait for a table, unless it's a Bears game/ Solider Field Event... then the place is totally jumping.  The service here is really good, and we have placed many carryout orders - never a mistake once.  Sometimes we walk - but when we have driven we have always been able to find parking, so that should not be a concern.

The Bar area is quite large with a few arcade type things to keep you  busy.  I really like this place and so glad it's adding to the growing South Loop scene.

I've been here a few times, so I thought it was time to rate and review. It's a considered a sports bar/pub, but it's not typical by definition. It's quite roomy, and good if you have bigger groups since they have tables.

Good vibe and diverse crowd, casual. Nice variety menu and drinks as well. The last time I went there, I brought my cousins from NY there and they were impressed with the drink menu, considering you can get anything and everything if you are in NY.

The only negative I realized is that they have Packers framed up on the wall. WTF?!!! Hello??!! This is BEARS county.

I come here every now and again mostly because it's one of a few places in the neighborhood.  The food is ok, and the service is usually ok.  I do like that they have some nice winter specials, and the bar isn't too full during the weekday nights.

I do have to say this isn't a good place to come to before a big game/event at Soldier Field as you can't even turn around in here.  It wouldn't be so bad, but everyone who is in here is younger and pushing and shoving seems to be their mode of communication.

Also, I don't like the fact that they only allow one bill per table, and automatically include gratuity in the bill.  As a waitress, I can understand why this is practiced, but when they don't inform the customer, I feel as though it's a bit deceptive.

A group of coworkers and I stopped in for lunch on one of their recollections of a good burger. I have to say, we were all impressed. We all went with the double original cheeseburger and it was outstanding. The two thin patties were tasty and the roll/pickle/onion match up was perfect.

    Great burger!

Update: Went with the same group of coworkers before the autoshow and had their prime rib sandwich. Wow. better than the burger. Make sure to try it!

I like Kroll's. I don't make a habit of frequenting the same restaurants more than once since there are so many to choose from in the city, but I've been to Kroll's multiple times and will continue to go as well. It helps that I live close, but nonetheless, it's somewhat of an anomaly for me.

Anyway, I like the atmosphere. There's a large bar/lounge area as soon as you walk in with two big screens to watch whatever game is happening at the time. One of my visits was in the lounge area to watch a Steelers game and my only complaint is the service was a little slow at times considering how absolutely dead it was. Not slow enough to detract from the experience, but enough to notice.

I've also eaten in the dining room which was pleasant. I can't seem to order anything but the greek salad which is so good and large that it could easily be for two people. I get meat put on it which is extra, but they pile that on there, too so it's well worth the cost. My boyfriend is a little more varied in his ordering and he has neither complained nor raved about the food.

Oh, and the drink menu is extensive - both beer and liquor. I've already decided the next time I get out-of-state visitors, Kroll's will be on my list of places to take them.

This review probably should be a 3.5. I'm very fond of the place.

There isn't one thing that is really special about this place - the food isn't notable, the service isn't either, nor is the decor, but something about the combination of all the elements, make Kroll's a really welcoming neighborhood bar.

    Food/Drinks:
So, this is a sports bar. Do not expect anything other than bar food (guacamole looks and tastes like it's made from some kind of powder mix), but the butter cheeseburgers are sometimes exactly what the occasion calls for. Special menu for game days means crappier food than usually for game days.  Fantastic beer list. Lots of rotating local microbrews (usually in bottles). I haven't had wine or mixed drinks there.

    Atmosphere:
There are screens everywhere and very comfy round leather chairs on wheels. I love those chairs. It is normally a very chill place to hang out, but beware of game days.

    Service:
Not terrible, not great. Though, they have some super duper nice bartenders.

"The owners of Kroll's are spinning in their graves right now." - Josh V.

Kroll's West is a Green Bay institution and has been doing business in the shadow of Lambeau field for over 70 years. But this is Kroll's South Loop and it's a *choking back tears* Bears bar. Disappointing, to say the least.

The family should have kept up the Kroll's legacy and made this a Packer bar, not only because the Packers are awesome with the Superbowl wins to prove it, but because Packers fans are EVERYWHERE! The other two Packer bars in Chicago are always over capacity for every game and that means a lot of green and gold greenbacks! Cha-ching!

    But anyway...

Despite the fact that this is a black spot on the hearts of all Packer fans, this bar is meh. I came here for some pre-Badger game drinkies last weekend when they played at Soldier Field. It was really crowded with Badger fans (See that, Kroll's! Wisco people spend lots of money on booze!) and everyone was having fun. The food looked and smelled really good, but unfortunately we weren't there to eat.

My problem with this bar was this one waitress who kept trying to get through the crowd. I was a waitress for most of my 20's and I know that it sucks at times, but she was extremely crabby. Instead of saying "excuse me" to get past me, she would shove me. Hard. I think she shoved me about three times total. Then one time she grabbed me so hard that she left a thumbprint bruise on my arm.

Why the violence?! I wasn't trying to be in the way, it was just crowded and I did my best to get out of her way. I guess she just likes shoving people.

Another thing to not like about Kroll's: For a sports bar, there aren't a lot of televisions.

The only reason its getting 3 stars is because of their overpriced, but worth-the-money-delicious sweet potato fries.

The drink I had with absolut orient apple was not only overpriced, but very small and weak.

Wasn't crowded at all on a Friday at 9pm. Kind of worrisome. Might be back to take out the sweet potato fries!

I've frequented this place many times, as I live in the neighborhood. The food is slightly above average and has some good & bad items. I like the burgers, wings, pizza, wraps & tater tots. The salads could be alot better (except the cesar) as well as the nachos and BBQ.

The beer list is phenomenal and there are always specials. TVs are everywhere, so it's a great place to hang and watch a game. The place is always clean and the bathrooms are nice. And if you live in the 'hood don't forget about 20% off Tuesdays!

I've gone to Kroll's now three times.

The first time was right when I moved into my building next door. I went with a big group and the interior is VERY fun. I can see why people would like to watch sports games and hang out there. The bar selection is good. However, the general consensus was that the food was, eh.

I came back a few months later and got a salad and milkshake. The salad was fine (how can you mess up a salad though?), but my vanilla milkshake tasted like a butterscotch? Someone definitely messed up.

The third, and last time, I was at Kroll's. My roommate and I decided to get out of the apartment for a little and go get something to eat. She got a Southwestern salad that she wasn't impressed with and I got a special pasta dish which was inedible, to say the least. Our waiter disappeared after our meal was delivered. AN HOUR AND A HALF went by and finally my roommate went up to the hostess stand and asked if our waiter could please give us our bill. A DIFFERENT waitress brought us the tab, finally. And we could not get out of there quick enough. I honestly wish I remember this waiter's name, because as a former waitress and someone VERY familiar with the food industry, this man should have been fired after this behavior.

It's a convenient place. I just wish it was good.

Watch out!  A Green Bay bar with a massive beer selection and decent food menu in the south loop of chicago.  Try the Young's Double Chocolate Stout but also have a great selection of local brews on tap or on bottle.  For food, start with the goat cheese brouhetta and with deep fried Cheese curds.  The turkey chilli is pretty good and burgers and sandwiches with tator tots.

Lots of screens to watch the games with very comfortable seats. Service is always good.  A must try if you're anywhere downtown - just get over the fact that it's from Green Bay.

Inspired and enticed into trying this place by a recent fried chicken thread that also made mention of broasted chicken, a friend and I made our way here a couple of nights ago.

I had skipped lunch so by the time I got there, I was more than ready to stuff my face full of crispy cluck.

This place is way dead on a Monday night; I'm not sure if it's because it's primarily a sports bar and maybe there were no games on that night, but it was nearly empty.

My friend and I snagged a large booth in the dining area as we had our pick of seats. I noticed that the July beer special was a Magner's Irish Cider for $4.00. I wasn't planning on drinking that night but also couldn't pass up a special on my favorite cider.

We got comfy in the spacious booth and my friend started looking at the menu and asked me what I was having. Um, hello?! Have we met? She is highly aware of my well-documented fried chicken obsession. I also wanted to try the cheese curds after hearing about them - what's this? A combination of cheese and fried? Sign me up!

The cheese curds arrived and I was a little disappointed. I was expecting nirvana, quite frankly. And while they were good, they weren't quite worth the calories.

As I stressed earlier, I was there for the broasted chicken, so naturally I ordered that and my friend ordered a pulled pork sandwich, both of which came with sides. I chose a side salad and broasted potatoes and she chose tater tots.

Our entrees arrived. My side salad was little more than iceberg lettuce, but hey, I wasn't there for the salad anyway, so I just pushed it to the side so i could concentrate on the real reason I was there...the chicken.

Sad to say, it was a little dry and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. Bummer indeed, since I was I really looking forward to it. The broasted potatoes were quite good, but again, not what I was there for.

My friend's sandwich and accompanying tater tots were decent enough, but she wasn't overjoyed either.

Service was fine - pleasant and efficient. We were checked on often so no complaints there.

At $16.95 for the broasted chicken, I expected better. If I'm in the area, I'd likely go back again, but I'm not going out of my way to go.

Not as bad as I was expecting. From some of the reviews, I was expecting a ROUGH go of it. Not so bad. It's a standard sports pub. I wouldn't cal it a sports bar. 'Sports bar' denotes 'brahs', 'woo hoo girls', beer bellies, fights, and roofies. 'Sports pub' denotes nicer seats, 'brahs' in suits, 'woo' girls, raised voice arguments of Cubs v. Sox, and roofitinis.

There's nothing awful about Kroll's but there's nothing terribly innovative. The food is decent but not worthy of points or panties.

I ordered an Asian chicken wrap. It came with crunchy noodles, grilled chicken, light dressing, veggies, herb wrap and tater tots. The wrap was larger than I was expecting and the meal filled me up. I drank a tonic with lime to go with my food and was pleased to discover that the beverage came in one of the yooge red Pizza Hutâ„¢ cups. You know the ones that can fit a ridiculous about of carbonated beverage and kids tip them back only to wind up gasping for air as they attempt to suck all of the cola down in one gulp? That one. I was impressed. Usually, a tonic with lime is served in an Ally McBeal glass. Points for that cup!

A movie theater for football fans.

*We walked in and almost every table in the bar faced the big, mammoth screen...(not even a Bears game) and the dazed look of vicariously playing men permeated the scene. After a show at the glitzy new theater (ShowPlace Icon), it was too early to pack it in, but too late to eat somewhere normal...

With beer. Not a bad selection. Even some gluten-free brews for those of you that think gluten-free beer might taste good. It doesn't. I suggest wine :)

And some food. Cobb salad was definitely passable, and above standard for bar fare. The back restaurant portion was closed off (after 9pm, weeknight)...service was very good!

Not a bad stop, but not somewhere I'd beg to come back to. If you find yourself in the South Loop (non-Bears game day) and need a quick bite and a few beers, this is your place...Bell's, Dogfish Head, Three Floyds, and the like will keep you company if your date is watching football...

Oh, no no no no no.  Kroll's, you really made me sad.  This was definitely one of the worse bar experiences I've had in a long time.  The service was absolutely horrid at the bar.

I arrived alone and had a drink and ordered an appetizer from the really awesome server at the bar just before her shift ended.  She was great and really attentive.... then the shift change happened.  The two servers that came in after her (a man and a woman) were just horrid servers.  My friend literally sat for 20 minutes before she was even given a chance to order.  Another friend had flagged down the male server TWICE and he said "I'll be there in a minute" and both times never came back.  When he finally took their drink orders, he looked pissed - you know, as if serving people isn't his job or something.  I know that you hate your job, sir, but don't get mad at customers when they're asking you to do what you're supposed to - SERVE DRINKS.

Once we left the bar, the service at the table wasn't really that great.  Our server, Greg, seemed totally lost and wasn't even going to serve us at first because he wasn't even sure which tables were his and which ones weren't.  I'm sorry, but that's not the best way to start off our evening at the table.  He was definitely more attentive than the bartenders and a lot nicer once he realized we were in his section.

Honestly, the bad service really overshadowed everything else that was happening at the bar.  The beer was good, but too expensive (even the Miller was like $3.50 or $4/pint).  They had a decent selection of bottled beers but the one guy bartender just said "we have a lot" when we asked for a beer menu.  Thanks, idiot.  I know they had a ton, we just never got to see exactly what.  The fried cheese curds were pretty good and I really wanted to try the tater tots, but I just didn't want to order and have to be sucked into more bad service for the evening.

It looks like Kroll's is going to become our after work hangout, though, so hopefully my next experience here is a lot better than the first.  At least the bar stools were comfy.

During the winter, and summer, less frequently, my family and I get to go to Kroll's. The unique way the grill the hamburger buns and the way they treat the hamburger is a nice change of pace. Giant TVs all over the place for the kids to be entertained, and always good service.

It's just a few seconds across LSD from the Field Museum and the Aquarium. Beer selection is also very good.

Beware any bar menu with an extensive menu list of fancy schmancy beers with no prices listed for them...

Especially if when you ask what the prices are and the waitress doesn't know either...and says stuff like "they are probably between $7 and $12 or so"...

Especially especially if you can get all of those same beers at like Trader Joe's or World Market or whatnot...

Unless, of course, you like spending $30 on three beers, but that's really not my thing...

I mean, yeah, they tasted good and all, but two of them came in a fucking bottle. I'm think a stein or bucket or some shit is a way more appropriate vessel for that kind of money...I guess at those prices it's good that last call is at - midnight....(pumpkin style?)...

+1 star because they are a White Sox bar and that at least has the potential to make a man shut the hell up and be happy for a minute or so, so I'll give Kroll's that...

    Dear Krolls,

Please add some healthy alternatives to your menu and start using better salad greens for your salads.  Not all of us want a burger and onion rings for lunch or a salad made from iceberg lettuce mix.

    Thank you,
    EP

PS I do like your soups!

Kroll's is a big, clean and modern sports bar with multiple projection screens. The close proximity to Soldier Field guarantees a dominant male set! Though I didn't sample the food, everything that whizzed by us looked fantastic ('specially the nachos!). Kroll's rocks a huge beer menu, close to a hundred I believe, though the draught selection is a bit anemic. Our server was accommodating and his longish hair and neverending smile didn't hurt one bit.

Oh, and Kroll's, "Affliglem" is spelled "Affligem". Your copy editor missed that one on the menu.
