La Cantina

Possibly one of the worst Italian meals I've had.   Ordered the lasagna - got a few limp noodles, and about two pounds of ground beef with no seasoning.   Salad with cream of garlic dressing - no flavour at all.

Oh my goodness!  I ordered the Fettuccine all' Alfredo con Pollo but substituted the Pollo with Italian sausage.  Soooo good paired with a chardonnay.  The portions were plentiful and the service was great.  While I didn't like that we were seated near the kitchen,  I plan to go back soon and will request a different table location.

This worked well for us during a recent family vacation - I liked that it was walkable from our hotel and I love places that are Open Table-able.  There are many better Italian restaurants in town, but we enjoyed ourselves and it was a good choice for us with our five-year-old along for dinner.  The low ceilings and fishtanks are sort of fun and he loved his spaghetti and meatballs.  I had lasagna which was fine, not amazing, but it's sort of hard to mess up lasagna!  I can't remember what my husband had so it must not have been too awesome.  Service was good and prices were reasonable.  We were happy overall.
