This place is crazy fast, even when the line goes out the door.  I haven't had any bad experiences here, and the food is always consistently tasty. Now, I can't tell you if this place is "authentic" Mexican, mostly cuz my authenticity detector is a full continent south, but I do wish they had lengua on the menu.  Makes for a tasty lunchtime taco.  The guys there tell me not enough people asked for it.  Seriously?  The Chicago Loop-ians don't ask for tasty stuff?!?  Let's all try and be a bit more adventurous, shall we?

Anyway, great service, nice people, and great food.

Authentic Mexican food.  The food is delicious.  Maybe I am wrong, but I consider this as a fast food place, but boy, during lunch time, you really have wait for your food.  I guess they have too many customizable items on their menu.  They are quite generous with their portion.  You get chips and salsa too when you dine in.

Super fast very authentic food. Plenty of seating and well worth the cost for the amount of food you get. Service was great and atmosphere was a little fast-foody but very clean. Definitely going back.

Impressed.  Very fast service on the busiest of days.  Counter service & they bring the food to you.  Small busy location and suprisingly affordable loop diner.  Food came in 5 minutes with a full restaurant and long line to order.  Worth the brief wait.

Tacos are $1.50.  Authentic with onion and cilantro topping.  Choice of fillings are chicken, ground beef, chorizo, chorizo and potato, vegetarian.  Free chips/salsa when you dine in.  What's not to like?

I overheard someone saying her husband goes here almost every day for lunch. I had my doubts, but thought it would be worth a shot.

It's not bad at all. I ordered 2 steak tacos, 1 pork tamal and an horchata. It came to about $6.50. That's about how much Chipotle is without a drink.

Best: Horchata. It was very flavorful and sweet. If you like dense, sugary and cinnamony horchata, then this is your drink of choice.

Good: The green sauce. It gave the tamal some good kick. It's probably from a can, but it's pretty decent.

Not bad. Tamal. The good thing about the tamal was that it was a good size. I've seen some pretty flimsy tamales. This was a regular size and actually had some meat in it. Not a ton, but not a cheap amount. For $1.60, how can I complain?

So-so. Steak tacos. These weren't bad at all but there was just a little bit of meat. I knew they'd be small because they were just a buck and a half each, so I ordered two of them . The meat was better quality than I was expecting. They tasted good with the sauce. Maybe a tad bit oversalted, but I prefer that than tasting nasty unseasoned meat.

I went in before noon and ordered right away for takeout. There are a few tables and the place looks clean and bright enough to eat in without getting creeped out.

I'd probably go here again to try other stuff. Hopefully it's not as fattening as Chipotle lol.
