I work in the area and love coming in to Primebar for lunch. I've been a couple times for dinner dates as well, and have always had a wonderful experience!
I'm always greeted at the door with a smile and the service is great! Very attentive and always very charming and funny. The last time I went there I stopped in for a quick dinner by myself and the server was very friendly and made sure to come chat with me whenever he had a free moment.
Food is also great (try the pork tacos!), and they have delicious cocktails. Great place for a quick after-work drink.
If you haven't been yet you're missing out!
impressed.
i've grown to have very low expectations when it comes to sit down restaurants in the loop. overpriced and underwhelmed is my usual feeling post a business lunch, but not after primebar. they've got your fancy table settings for them business folk, and a (nice) casual bar area for everyone else. service was quick - but i guess they have no choice during the lunch rush.
sriracha deviled eggs were awesome, just enough hot sauce to make for a memorable flavor, but not too much that your eyes start to tear.
seafood soup special was phenom. tomato based, lighter, but with tons of flavor
cobb salad was bomb (and huge). unfortunately, i had to sub shrimp for the pork belly and chicken. shrimp definitely held it's own - perfectly seasoned and juicy.
will definitely make this the go-to lunch spot when our team has our 'fancy' lunches!
I have visited here several times to take clients to lunch. Â On July 26, 2012 I last visited - we had a selection of items - the prime dip, fish & shrimp po boy, California chicken and tuna tacos
As in the past, everything was very good - this restaurant is very consistent, and has never disappointed. Â It is a lively place, especially later in the evening as the bar is very large and they have several large screen tv's
Very reliable and a good selection of food items (they also have bento boxes which are very popular)
