I will preface this review, by noting this was the first time I have ever had Ethiopian, so I do not know if it tastes like it "should," but I do know it was amazing. Â We had a groupon and decided to go on a Monday thinking it would be less crowded (given some of the other reviews, I already knew it was on the small side and could get packed). Â The entire time we were there from 745-840, there were no more than 4 tables seated at any given time, all in various stages of dining. Â So it was the perfect time to go.
On to the food: Meat Sambusa (delish, a little oily, but I like that), not a lot of kick but the spices combined for a great flavor (I would give 4 stars bc it was really good but is not the reason I will be back). Â The real winners were the Dora Tibs and Tibs Wat. Â There was so much food, and we had plenty of meat and it was so good. The Tibs Wat is a beef dish with a little kick to it. I needed my water to chase some of the bite away, but I am notorious for not being able to handle the heat. Â The chicken was much less hot, but not bland at all, the spices merged for a perfect balance. Â My boyfriend and I literally went from one to the other trying to decide which we liked better and then finally gave up when we couldn't eat another bite. Â Words cannot even do the dinner justice. I should have just written "Amazing. The End."
