Big bar, lots of beers, sports on TV everywhere, pretty awesome.
Service can be kind of spotty here and it's a little far west, but I'm willing to overlook that simply because of everything else. Some of the higher quality bar food in the city, and those buffalo chicken nachos are hard to beat. Portions are very good too. I can handle spicy food pretty well, but beware if you get the buffalo wings anything hotter than medium. They actually put some heat on those babies. Hoo boy.
Also, the Daily Double is a decent deal. I'm always happy when the Daily Double is Yuengling or Stella, or something seasonal. If I'm feeling in the mood for microbrews, I usually head up the street to Pony Bar, which I believe is under the same management.
All in all, just a high quality, unpretentious sports bar, that's not too crowded. Definitely hard to find in the city.
One of the best happy hours in the city. Â From 5--7 every day the whole bar is 50% off. Â They also have an extensive whiskey menu, especially for a sports bar type establishment. Â The waitresses and bartenders are always pleasant and they make an effort to take care of you and your party.
It does get crowded and pretty noisy some nights which is a downside due to the bar's layout. Â If it gets busy they will open up the back bar which helps with cutting down the service time.
Overall a hidden gem. Â Go during happy hour to try some of the more expensive single malt scotch.
so me and my boyfriend wanted to try a cool new sports bar. and first of all, it is not as close of a walk from penn station as i thought. especially not when I'm in a mini skirt that is prone to riding up a bit. secondly, there were only two waitresses working and it was very crowded. needless to say I waited longer than I would like for food and drinks. this chick was hungry! speaking of the food, it was ehhhh. ya know not bad but certainly nothing to write home about and if you were going to write home about it, it would go something like this "hello mother hello father, here i am at lansdowne road. the buffalo balls were a bit dry but had a pretty delicious blue cheese to salvaged them. my pulled pork sandwich was your average pulled pork sandwich. the French dip was dangerously close to dipping below subpar. maybe we should have gone to Rudy's". Â
anywayyyyyyy 2 stars.
