I love the location, as I really like hanging out in Chinatown, lots of good night life. Trivia on Tuesdays at Manifest is fun- but you should get there early to get a table! During the day, it is a great place to grab a coffee and have a business meeting. For pau hana, it does serve alcohol-- but it isn't the first spot I would go to for that. This is my main reason for the 3 stars-- the last time I went the bartender didn't know how to make a vodka tonic. She literally asked me what was in it. UMMM...VODKA. AND. TONIC. Ha! She was sweet, but it literally took half an hour to get my vodka soda (they were OUT OF TONIC) and I had to ask for a garnish. The bartender was obviously not trained (though nice about it)- but then didn't listen when I told her it was just vodka and tonic! She literally waited for the other bartender to come in for her shift to tell her how to make it! LOL. Really entertaining I guess...
On the other hand-- Manifest at night on First Fridays is a hot spot. Pretty crowded, but good music and good drinks- I guess the more experienced bartenders work at night/weekends!
PS- usually, they have some cool art and I really dig the Manifest lettering /mural on the wall. :)
Coffee bar by day; bar-bar by night. Â Brilliant way to pull in traffic all hours of the day. Â Both are fantastic.
Manifest does a trivia night on Tuesdays, beginning at 6:30pm. Â Teams of up to six square off in a variety of topics, from entertainment to geography, and it's free to compete. Â Plenty of opportunity to dredge up all the random bits of knowledge left in my brain from Trivial Pursuit games and high school quiz bowl competitions!
HUGE whiskey list, organized by geography. Â Sadly, I'm no whiskey/whisky fan, so I flipped past those to the specialty cocktail menu. Â I had a hard time deciding, so I opted for the "Bartender's Choice" - giving the bartender free reign with the mixology. Â The server asked what I like and what I don't like. Â I have been in the throes of a full-on liquor crush on St. Germain lately (elderflower liqueur). Â The citrusy-floral concoction with a big Meyer-lemon twist was incredible - I requested a second. Â The server was knowledgeable about other St-G cocktails that she suggested I try on another night. Â I will, because I will definitely be back.
They don't really serve food, but they do offer hot dogs with a dozen topping options - not sure if that's every night or just Tuesdays.
Hipster/college-town vibe the night I went: an awful lot of PBR roaming around the place. Â But I love it. Â I have NO idea what took me so long to come in for a Trivia Tuesday, and I can't wait to go again!
6.8.13.
I really like the feel of this space...the ambiance is nice. Lots of brick and the "menu" of drinks is notated in chalk, very 1920's-esque to me. While it is small, quite a bit of people can fit inside.
This was only my second time coming here and I have to say I enjoyed both of my experience here. The first time we went, I remember having a grand old time on the dance floor! :) We decided to try Manifest on a First Friday this time around; there was a line to get in but it thankfully moved quickly!
Cover was more reasonable than I expected at $7 for both the ladies & gents; it was pretty funny too because while we were waiting in line, my friend Kimi decided that the cover cutoff would be $7...what are the odds, it's like that lady at the door read our minds! The staff manning the door was also very friendly and very accommodating with giving me back change haha! Music was on point with a good mix of older and newer songs that vary in genre.
While I like Manifest, I don't think First Friday is really my scene haha. But perhaps I'll manifest better feelings for it so I can come back to this venue :)
Yelp 365 Challenge: #158/365
Manifest is like a bi-polar cafe, but I love it. Cafe/coffee shop with the option of beer/liquor during the day and bar/nightclub with the option of coffee at night. Â There is always some kind of interesting artwork hanging around, new beers to try, and an eclectic group of people.
For the most part, the staff is always very nice and welcoming. Their coffee shop options are great and they are open to making things specific to how you ask. The bar drinks are great as well and they have some creative concoctions.
Review about Remi Mead's "Summer Lovin'" Art Gallery Exhibit:
When I was younger, I used to copy lines of poetry from books at my grandparents' collection, there was something heartfelt about an author's ability to articulate feelings into words. Sometimes, it's difficult for me, to translate how I'm feeling in a way that someone else might understand; one of the reasons, I feel a strong connection to creative individuals is because they utilize various mediums to convey their message (sometimes, without saying a word).
Whenever I'm fascinated with someone's work, I like to research about them & discover how their passions came about. After some investigating, I found out English was Remi Mead's second language & I thought it was lovely, how she used her art to communicate with others. Another reason I'm drawn to Remi's artwork is because we share the same appreciation for adorable & fluffy bunnies (if you're not familiar with Remi's work, she likes to incorporate these cuties in her art).
Remi's "Summer Lovin'" art gallery exhibit was absolutely stunning; I loved the way the bright colors from her artwork was intensified by Mainfest's red brick walls. Thank you Remi for reminding me that when you're authentic & produce work you believe in, the right people will gravitate towards you.
If you're in the mood for art & culture, check out Remi Mead's "Summer Lovin'" Art Gallery Exhibit held exclusively at The Manifest. "Summer Lovin'" is viewable to the public from Saturday (04.20) - Sunday (05.12.13).
Manifest is pretty awesome. I finally went with my girls this past Friday and we all really enjoyed ourselves. This is a hip little venue with good cocktails and awesome music. Since it is a coffee shop during the day they also have a menu with their different java drinks all of which are pretty damn good from what I hear. The bartenders were great and made awesome concoctions that get the job done. During the week they have various themed nights like Trivia Tuesdays and Hip-Hop Wednesdays that get pretty packed. If your looking for a chill spot to cruise then this is definitely the place to go.
Review Source:Manifest has quickly become my favorite bar in town. Initially, I went there for a private birthday party and was immediately impressed with the vibe, the assortment of whiskeys and artwork being showcased at the time. Justin, the owner and mixologist, has extensive knowledge of whiskey and makes amazing custom cocktails. I've been back a few times since then and plan on making it a regular spot. The staff is cool and the vibe is always welcoming and fun. I even scheduled a meeting there tomorrow to check them out during the daytime and have some coffee. Keep up the great work!!!
Review Source:We were at manifest last first Friday. I wanted a margerita, rocks & salt. The bartender guy (who kind of looked like not one of the main bartenders) made me something that was NOT a marguerita. It was a crappy sweet drink that wasn't even full in the glass. He handed over two cups chock full of ice, that were nowhere near full. When I said can you fill them up? He wasn't exactly nice about it. He looked pissed. I tipped him 2 dollars and my girlfriend and i went to drink our crappy drinks.
This was my second marguerita there. The other one made by another bartender, was good.
I applaud this place for their interesting selection of cocktails. But what that second guy handed me was not a marguerita by any stretch of the imagination. Mostly I just feel insulted.
HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!
I recently went to First Friday and ended up at this bar. I was having a great time, dancing enjoying some drinks with some friends. Then, all of a sudden my boyfriend is being asked to leave for no valid reason!
He was at the bar waiting for his card/tab for 15- 20 minutes. I literally went to bathroom, danced a few songs and returned to him still waiting to close his tab. The bartenders kept ignoring him and even lied straight to his face. He asked for his bill numerous times as the bartender(s) passed by him. When they finally stopped they said, "whats your f***ing name. He then gave his name and they grabbed his card. They told him, "hey man we drop the card sometimes. It happens." My boyfriend refused to believe that BS because he could clearly see his debit card right next to the register the entire 20 minutes while they ignored him! He then told the bartender that he saw the card sitting there the entire time. Then, the bartender bluntly and rudely said, "and what are you going to do about it." And got directly in his face! RUDE & THREATENING!
As my boyfriend turned around after receiving his card and rude comment, two bouncers approached him and escorted him out. They took my beer away and told me I had to leave as well and could not finish my beer. I was shocked, confused and upset. I then went up to the bouncer at the door and tried to ask why my boyfriend got kicked out. All he said was, "the management wanted him out!"
This was the worst experience I have ever had at a bar! Not only was it very poor customer service, but the bartenders were rude and even threatened a customer! We will not be returning and I will warn all my friends about the horrible service we received. My boyfriend has been trying to call Manifest ever since the incident to talk with a manager about this situation, and of course- no one has answered all weekend!
Advice for those bartenders: Â If you are over stressed and need a break- take one. DO NO TAKE IT OUT on customers!!! I am highly disappointed in the management and the Manifest team! I will NEVER recommend this bar or club, and NEVER step foot in this venue again!
while I give the place 4 stars, the fact that we waited over ten minutes to get a drink at the bar leaves a frown. to their credit, it was trivia night so it was a bit busier than usual perhaps. we tracked down a server to ask about ordering a drink and she walked over to the bartender and pointed us out. we also chopped up the slow service to just the island lifestyle :).
we were very happy with our drink orders and appreciated the fresh ingredients that were muddled with the booze.
once the patrons finished the trivia, the place quickly became empty and we chatted it up with the bartender for a few moments.
overall, open spaces, good vibes, and fun drink menu.
This review is based purely on my St. Patty's Day experience. It seems like a hipster coffee shop normally, but it was turned into a ghetto "night club" for the evening. A $5 cover was better than some, but still not worth the extra money. My wife's friend was grabbed twice by some of drunk clientele and they were "escorted" out just to be let back in. Great job security. It was a very specific low brow crowd that I was more than happy to leave as fast as we could finish our drinks.
I will not be heading back here, but as I said this does not reflect the coffee shop, just what they tried to pull off in the evening.
Went to the 1st Tasting Session at Manifest which featured North American Whiskeys sponsored by Beam. Â Being a single malt scotch chick, how could I resist getting to know their cousin? Â
It was a free event with a plethora of bourbons & whiskeys to taste. Â Yes, FREE BOOZE! Â In addition to the tastes, we were treated to 2 cocktails - Old Fashioned (love them) & Sidecar - prepared by Justin the super cool mixologist who recently won the HCW 2013: Bacardi Pro/Am Cocktail Competition. Â
It was a fun & educational (yes, I learned something) evening. Â Mark your calendars - the Tasting Session will be monthly on the last Thursday. Â Great after work stop, the event starts promptly at 5:30p. Â Looking forward to the next session.
Was confused when I was searching for coffee during the day and Manifest pops up on the list. But they do actually serve coffee during the day!
Had the cappucino ($3.50) and a chai latte ($4). Hubby and I both LOVED the chai flavor. Its a bit on the sweeter side, but delicious nonetheless
Hung out on the couches for a bit. Couches look worn but are pretty comfy. Free wifi!
Very pleasant bar -- good music, nice staff, clean hipsterish premises, enormous selection of whiskies and other liquors. Quibbles: (1) the bar is always out of one or more of their listed beers, which is unimpressive given that the list is written on a chalkboard; (2) seating isn't great -- there aren't enough bar stools to supply both the bar and the tall tables, and the white plastic garden furniture in the back is just embarrassing. Â I don't care if they're only used when you're not using the dance floor -- buy some real chairs, people.
Review Source:HELLA COOL PLACE!
One thing I really enjoy about this place is the artwork! Great stuff from different local artist! Love Love Love IT! They have a small dance floor as well; honestly don't really care for it. The DJ that was playing was okay; he wasn't playing any songs I was into.
This spot is also great for breaks between classes! I go to school downtown so I always wonder around the different bars when I have free time.
17/31
Ive been here more than a few times already and its one of the main bars/clubs that we hit up in chinatown. Â They music is hip hop and the DJs are good. Â Definitely good, I guess, "booty" dancing music haha. Â The only con with this place is that it is small and the dance floor is small so it gets packed fast. Â The restrooms are in the back too so you'll have to squeeze your way through sweaty bodies just to get there. Â In the front and sides of the area they have couches and bar stools and tables. Â Overall, def one of my go to places to dance.
Hella trendy place. Love the young vibe. Always switchin up the decor with smooth artwork by local artists. SUPPORT LOCALS! yeeaaah! Theres food there too which is a big plus. Cuz drunk + food = a good time LMAO a good FAT time.. I love the live music too sometimes. Trivia on Tuesdays? or Thursdays? I forget but its fun, the questions are hard as fuck. Makes me think that Im dumb as hell afterwards. LOL Bartenders are cool and I love the bathroom look. Even if there's only one...They need more chairs up in that bitch cuz i love to sit. Overall bomb place. loveloveloveee
Review Source:This is the best joint for those lulls between classes. I attend HPU and been coming here for about 3 years now. The employees are really friendly and can small talk with pretty much anyone. Makes everyone feel welcome here. The decor is sick too love the paintings look on their brick walls.
Besides that theres a good crew of regulars and others poking in time to time. The coffees bomb as fk and they blare good tunes too. Pretty much got the whole mix of things to bring ppl back time and time again.
Dear Barman,
I really wanted to believe that you were flirting with me, but when I happened to pass by a mirror, I realized this just wasn't my lucky night. Â Thanks for chatting with me, though, even if it was just because the place was empty. Â It was nice, but don't worry, I won't be stalking you on Friday.
~Teethbrushing homebody
Even though I was disappointed that tattooed pseudo-mod bar boy wasn't being extra nice to me (he just really is that nice to everyone), I still really liked this place. Â Four gals happened into this place on a Wed night before the crowd--and we only went in because it was absolutely empty. Â We just wanted a quiet place to chat and drink. Â Great deco, which I understand rotates through any requesting artist, including packaging tape penises, and fantastically upbeat mellow jazzy tunes kept us company until two bouncers appeared outside and a crowd started forming inside.
The drinks were indeed signature; fun flavors a la liqueur--sweets, sours, and names to keep Bubbie's flavors company. Â About $10 a drink, they're small but strong.
TLDR: forget about the afterparty! Â come early, flirt with the bar men and lady; it's a great ambiance for a pre-party.
I went here around 9-10pm early on a Saturday night and it seems like a chill place.
I love listening to the standard dance hits but this place was playing jimi hendrix and led zeppelin which was a nice change of pace. I could only stay a bit so just had a beer, so I'll have to update this later as they have a nice assortment of gin and whiskey on the menu.
Had a nice little dance floor to and didn't charge cover, although we were there pretty early. Nice place to start the night, or even stop in for a drink of bourbon or whiskey.
365 Challenge: #16/365
I used to come here for First Fridays back when I used to actually go all the time. Then I decided I was not such a fan of spending a large amount of time in line waiting to get in, spending a large amount of time in line waiting to get a drink, and spending a large amount of time in line waiting to use the bathroom. I think I'm just not a patient kind of girl.
But this place is great. The decor and vibe is kind of quirky and hip and has a nice set up, though a little small. The music is pretty good (not all top 40s from the last 4 years like a lot of night spots tend to do), so it's only a matter of time before I hit the dance floor. The drinks are poured well. The crowd is a good mix of mostly well-dressed twenty-somethings, and some early thirty-somethings, getting their drink on and having a good time.
One of these days I'm going to make it in for coffee or trivia night, I swear.
This place is the GO TO spot on Wednesday nights!
Located right in downtown, with limited street parking but it doesn't get as crazy as First Fridays. I've only recently started coming here but all those 5x I've been here, have been crazy fun! There is no cover and usually no line before 12am. The place is a little small, but what bar isn't in downtown??
Cheap drinks, good vibe and Good music! Forget D&B's...Manifest is where it's at!
Okay Manifest... I guess it's time for a review. Â Yay, I must be a fan because it is almost too embarrassing to check in at this place for the amount of times I been here.... I always enjoy myself here, and even though the dance floor is a bit small the DJ's always play a good mix of old school hip-hop, new jams, and every now and then those weird songs that you don't want to admit to anyone that you really like. Â Also, manifest is really actually a BAR not a CLUB so we are grateful for a dance floor anyways. Â
I always forget this, but they usually have new artwork displays on the wall. I like to admire them (when I remember to), and if I am not mistaken, the displays are usually on sale.
The bartenders are wayyyy nice, and are pretty attentive to your drinking needs. Â Even when it is butt-ass crowded I've never had to wait an unreasonably long amount of time for a drink. Â Sometimes when it's slow they let you close your tab below the minimum charge.
The crowd varies, sometimes a bit on the older side 30s. Â But i enjoy the crowd too, it's chill, never too pushy. Â On wednesday nights the crowd is younger and a bit trendier. Â Fun fun fun. Â I've never had a bad experience here except for one certain night when the DJ and his friend was extremely rude and douchey to me. Â I may have asked a silly question, but you definitely do not talk to a female that way. Especially drunk ones who may accidentally punch you in your tubby. Â Good thing i didn't, because I really like manifest and that would have probably got me a one way ticket to "you're never allowed here again."
ANYWAYS. I highly recommend this place. love it.
Manifest deserves a review update!! Â I have been going here every Tuesday for trivia night for the last few months as well as hitting it up on the weekends and I have always had a blast!
This is the first time that I have been SUPER excited about Tuesdays. Â The trivia night is a hit with my friends and I. Â The service is fast and super friendly, and the drinks, both coffee and alcoholic are great. Â You MUST try the dirty chai tea latte. Â It's to die for, both hot and iced. Â Want something a little stronger? Â Ask for a St. Germaine's and ginger ale.
This place has surely picked up on the weekends, too. Â I went here on a friday last week and danced the night away on the dance floor.
Any place where I can chill, read, get a coffee, and hang out on the weekdays and then dance all night and drink on the weekends is a favorite place of mine!
Manifest is my go to spot in china town! Â The DJ's are almost always ON POINT with the music. [EXCEPT for one DJ who told my friend her song request was stupid - NOT COOL - But Im gonna let that slide since it did not happen to me]. I'll admit to being a regular. I just miss old school R&B, hip hop, those booty dancing jams. Most of the time clubs are either playing some house/techno/electro type of music - so the change is very refreshing.
The service is good. The bouncers are funny & friendly- making friendly jokes. The bartenders are great too! Down to mix the right drink if you're not sure what you want. But GOOD sized chilled shots & yummy mixed drinks that'll do the job - but not feel like straight up alcohol.
Now most of the time it's not too crowded - the age range are people in their 20's (21-29). SO! it does not get too hot, there's enough room on the dance floor, and say bye bye to long bathroom lines! But there are those nights when the crowd is a bit older - and it's crowded as a mother ******. But I'm used to it, so if you're laid back...just looking for a good time with friends, no biggie.
I LOVE THE ATMOSPHERE! As soon as you enter you feel in some type of industrial lofty place - with exposed red bricks! Art everywhere. And the dance floor has a transparent glass ceiling! Exposed to the beautiful night sky. (Pretty rare in clubs, especially in china town). It's dark like most clubs - but the dimmed lighting is perfect, setting the right mood.
I'm curious to  come during the day! They have a calendar on their website - so just pay attention to when you're going. Might accidentally go for a game night, when your intentions are to dance the night away. hahahah, definitely not talking about myself. :]
Best place just because of free trivia! Come one, come all nerds and jeopardy rejects... They offer free Trivia Tuesday nights. starts at 630pm till about 9pm. get here early though, it's been getting packed early to the point of no seats :(
It's BYOF which saves a bunch of money or you have a wide range variety of choices with the restaurants that in walking distance.
& as Riana said... BEST CHAI EVERRR
Afternoon lunch at Downbeat Diner and needed a caffeine fix so with my friends and kids in tow during the holiday season, entered Manifest for a caffeine rush. loved the vibe. When I was in my early 20s, Chinatown was THE place I dreamed of living. It had the San Fran vibe with loft style studios, brick walls and high ceilings. Manifest offered that, as it is super spacious, has a cool vibe and brick wall accents. It would've been my choice for a home ahem, a few years ago.
However thats not what this review is about. The chai was Ono, the bartender/barista was friendly and knowledgeable and simply let us chill, relax and enjoy ourselves for a brief moment, allowing for an escape from the crazy Chinatown peeps outside the doors.
Best Chai....EVAR.
I love that Manifest is right down the street from school and it's one of the most versatile places I know in Chinatown. You can come here to study and party. Perfect!
Bartenders/baristas are friendly and awesome and they always have an art installment every month.
Pretty nifty place :)
Came here recently with a friend on a Thursday for his Secret Meeting of the Fraternity (part of Manifest's "Man Challenge" where participants cannot shave or groom their facial hair from Nov. 1-Dec. 1 for testicular cancer awareness).
The meeting was hardly secret as there were about two dozen guys enjoying each others' company, comparing beard growth, telling war stories (well, more like itch stories) and enjoying fraternity-only deals: Â $3 Sierra Nevada Tumbler and $4 Captain Morgan's rum.
The atmosphere is civilized and debonair (and certainty hairier). Â A great cause to celebrate at one of the coolest places in Chinatown.
#Yelp 365: Â 105/365
I like this spot. I picked up on the tip on yelp. Went after hitting up Apartment 3 and this was a nice spot to catch up on some conversation. You can get a latte and a nice mixed drink. Bartender is cool. The ambiance is good. The crowd is really laid back back.
I'll come again and try to see the scene during First Fridays.
Downtown Honolulu has grown from its bum filled, drug infested niche in city to the prime hipster spot.
From it's First Friday parties to my new favorite club/lounge: MANIFEST!
Coming from Vegas, I could really care less about partying but, I couldn't pass up The Get Right party on Wednesdays.
In fact, I made sure to fly in just for this party AND it was the only partying on my agenda during my trip!
If you've read my previous reviews, you'll know that Vegas is missing that hip-hop factor at clubs that I misssssss ssooooo muuuuch. And this was why Manifest's Get Right party does it for me.
Lots of old school R&B, groove music that I've been missing in my party life. And I'm not just saying that because my homies are the DJs. *of course not*
The crowd is a mix of the hipster scensters and surfer types but, mainly those looking for a chill time with good music and drinks!
Wish Vegas had something like this!
It's a box with a bar and a DJ... nothing more. Â
It reeks constantly of sweat and desperation, the awful stink of hipster kids so eager to fit in, they'll all cram into a tiny little box and pay for overpriced drinks in hopes of grinding against an inebriated stranger-- praying that she's dumb enough and drunk enough to maybe give up some sex. There are low stools and couches for people to sit and discuss psudo-intellectual things like politics, celebrity tweets, art, facebook and all the social injustices in the world like the starving people in Africa and how "someone, somewhere, should do something to help the less fortunate"... in spite of the myriad of homeless people passed on the way to get to Manifest. Smoking is no longer allowed indoors to protect public health, but Manifest has a billowing thick vog of pretentiousness that is significantly more toxic.
Just as certain helpful medicines can cause nausea, vomiting and diarrhea as a side effect, so can cleaning up China Town cause a blight like Manifest.
It was 2 pm in the afternoon and I as I walked down Hotel Street I got a text from my BF saying "Did you leave yet? I don't want you walking alone." I thought to myself, it's daylight, why is he worried about me? Then a crackhead walked out of a bar combing his hair and then started banging his comb violently against a street sign. Oh, he's worried about guys like that possibly throwing ukus (lice) on me. Yikes! I guess this is the "beauty" of downtown Honolulu.
It was my very first visit to Manifest and I was meeting up with my BF after a downtown luncheon. He visits Manifest about once a week to work and now I know why. There's no one here in the daytime and solitude plus a caramel machiatto equals extreme productivity! I was really surprised there weren't more HPU kids in here considering how close it is to the downtown campus.
If you like Urban Outfitters and San Francisco then you'll like Manifest. I love the red brick walls, the music and the hipster vibe. Makes we wish this area wasn't riddled with crackheads combing their ukus out on the street. But no ones perfect I guess. I'm excited to come back in the evening when I'm not pregnant so I can throw back a few cocktails. On Tuesdays they have trivia night and it's very popular. The bartender told me they're up to 90 people and it's difficult to imagine that many people being comfortable in such a small space, but that's just the old lady in me talking. Or maybe it's the ukus.
My first time there and probably my last.
I came here with my cousin for First Fridays. I was home visiting and she said that this place was pretty cool. Alright, Im down. We get there and the line isn't long at all. Awesome. As I hand the bouncer my ID, he looks at it, shines the light on it and then PEELS THE TOP LAYER OF PLASTIC OFF OF MY ID! I understand that the corner of the plastic was coming off a tiny bit from normal wear and I also understand that its his job to check IDs diligently, but I am NOT underage and that was my REAL drivers license you a**! Then he had the nerve to ask me for another form of id!?! Really dude? Why, So you can ruin that one too? I kinda wanted to ask him for $10 for a replacement ID, but didnt.
Then, we paid the cover, went inside and walked up to the bar to order a drink...and waited...and waited. Keep in mind that it was still fairly early and it wasnt crazy busy yet. Finally, after 20 minutes I told my cousin to just raise your hand and flag someone down. Were not pushy people, but I guess thats what it took in order to get a round of drinks. After that we were pretty much over this place so we left for another bar.
After much deliberation, I called the next day and spoke to the general manager. He told me that he would talk to that bouncer and figure things out. He took my name, email AND phone number and said hed get back to me asap. Its been over 3 weeks and Im STILL waiting to hear from him...
I remember my friend posting on his Facebook about how much he loves the coffee here. I was also trying to envision in my head where this place was, until last night, on Hotel St, walking by a a drunk dude and posse outside a bar screaming "Eh, Fight Me! I"m ___ (the type of race he was)!" to his pals, FINALLY - Manifest! Ya gotta love walking through downtown Honolulu after hours.
"Oh, this place!!!" Were my words as I was here for the Halloween '09 block party. I remember despite that place being ultra-packed that night, how fast the service was. The bartender, dressed as the Ledger Joker, slammed a bunch of bottles on the table to show me what was availabe when asking, "What goes into your well drinks?". "Why so serious?", I remember thinking at the time.
Last night, he was chill. It was after all, a slow Thursday night. What really stands out about this place is the red brick in the room. Manifest has a very good ambiance, with a great use of furnishing and space. The house coffee? Not so good. Â I' guess I'll stick to buying pints on my next visit. The vibe and look of this place is the reason why I'm giving them good ratings.
