I tried this restaurant based on the one existing review. Â I can't say I was disappointed, but doubt it deserves 5 stars. Â On the upside - it's especially good if you're with a group where some want sandwiches, others salads, and others a hot entree. Â In addition to the salad bar and hot buffet there is a sandwich grill that was producing some pretty good looking items. Â From the hot buffet, I tried the MC wings, which were scrumptious with plenty of meat; combo fried rice was just fine, and the orange chicken was also good. Â Like the orange chicken, the chicken tenders seemed to have been made in the kitchen with actual chicken breast instead of "flaked, formed and breaded" stuff. Â From the cold table I had chopped salad (the bacon bits gave it a bit of an odd taste) and caprese salad, which was disappointing because the tomatoes were not very good. Â There was no iced tea, I guess because summer's over; but there was a good selection of sweets. Â The dining area is very pleasant, with both tables and conversation seating areas, and it was pleasantly quiet. Â On the downside: the buffet lunch at $6+ per pound is not a bargain -- unless you have just a light salad and maybe a couple of wings, it's going to be tough to get lunch and a beverage for under $10. Â The meal I described above was 1.9 pounds, bringing the tab to over $14 including my small size fountain beverage. Â To get to this particular location, which is in the Dirksen Federal Courthouse Bldg., you do have to go through security - metal detector and all.
Review Source:I was really impressed with the food selection here. They have a salad area and a hot food area. Â There's even dessert for those that crave sweets. Â The food is all priced by weight at $6.35/lb. Â They have plates and also carry out boxes in case you need your food to go. Â They have a large seating area with plenty of seats. Â The food is also very healthy too because they advertise their food as being MSG/Trans fat free and have organic selections. Â Even their containers are biodegradable. Â My new go to place!
