that's a lovely little place in Polish neighborhood, however food and service was just horrible. i went there with my boyfriend to enjoy a drink and some appetizers at late evening. we sat outside. i ordered a martini and a zapiekanka (a bun with mushrooms and cheese served hot). the server spilled the drink all over the table. well, that happens, not a big deal. but then i got zapiekanka.
which was disgusting, cold and gluey.
I'm always nice to the servers and I never complain, but that was really too much. I decided to return this thing, but the server didn't appear for close to 15 minutes. I decided to take my plate inside by myself and ask for a check. The server was busy  chatting with the only customer by the bar. when she heard that food was disgusting, she was not only surprise and rude, but She said that there was no cook in the restaurant and she made it in the microwave and why I have a problem.
absolutely rediculous. then, she fought with us, because she didn't want to take this dish from our check. finally, we paid for the drinks and left promising to each other not to come back again. what a shame.

Lovely little place on Irving Park. There is a big Polish following but that doesn't matter when every body's nice and sociable.

Drinks are pretty good and the staff is willing to cooperate if you're not satisfied. What more can you ask for?

I came here Friday night and it wasn't that full so I sat the bar. The manager eneded up buying me 4 shots, champagne, and a drink just because he needed me to move over two bar stools. How nice???

I definitely recommend visiting this place when you're in good spirits. They're not open ultra late but they do have outdoor seating.

Great place. Not super busy which I like. The bartender Greg is super nice and very personable. If you want a personal fun experience drop by. Open doors, great experience. Come on by they have other locations at Belmont and central and on Milwaukee. My new favorite hangout.

I'd give them a zero if I could.  Jerks have been sending me text messages advertising their crapp specials for MONTHS even though I have NEVER been there.  Several messages a week, and I've even called to ask them to stop.  This place sucks.

Went there recently with some friends. We're all polish so we felt at ease, the place is cute inside and has a small area to sit in outside as well, which closes at 11pm because they don't have a licence for it (?). They made us move our drinks and food and get seated inside.

Although the place is nice and cute - they play dance hits and the lounge area is pretty... everything else is not up to par. The waitstaff was terrible, we had two waiters serving us, both of which seemed very confused and disoriented. The girl seemed like she had no idea what was going on, she did a terrible job of serving us and she just kept looking at us like she didn't know what to do with anything. Maybe she was new.. I don't know. And then when she asked if we were done  and we confirmed she wouldn't bring us our check although we already told her how we'd be paying and everything. We had to go up to HER to say we're done. She didn't ask if we wanted to split the bill or how much eat item was so we could figure it out ourselves... she didn't even show us the bill. She told us the total and stood there waiting for us to all try to figure out how much to give her. We had to ask her how much each food item was ourselves. The whole thing was very very disorganized.

Another thing was that the A/C was on blast. It was blowing right on our area and we were freezing! We asked them multiple times to turn it down or off, each time they said they would but they never did. We were very dissatisfied with that.

The experience overall was not pleasant and they really need to work on their management and organization in that place. I doubt if I'll come back. Maybe once I hear something about improvement, I'll make a visit back there.

Martini Club is an alright place.  Very popular with the Polish crowd, lots of laser lights inside. The interior has a chic style and very dark.

Martini Club tries to pride itself on its huge martini menu with very fruity concoctions.  From tons of berry liquors, to sours, to the simple manhattan, Martini Club offers variety... but that comes at a pretty steep price (for the area that is...).  There's a "Downtown" price, for a Non-downtown area.

On Monday nights, they have KARAOKE!  The place was scarcely filled when I was there, but that meant that I could sing with little notice that anyone was paying attention.  Thumbs up hehe.   But seriously,  its cool to have a new karaoke joint on mondays in the portage park area.

I have never felt so out of place.  A friend of a friend was celebrating her birthday there, and I tagged along, not having an idea of what I was getting myself into.  It was like I was at a party that I was purposely not invited to.  Everyone is Polish.  The bartenders don't even bother with English there, but at least they did make my drinks nice and strong.

This place might actually be decent if you're into the whole European club thing.  It is huge with multiple rooms and private areas with dancing everywhere.  People were all dressed pretty well.  I guess if I didn't feel so awkward being there, I might have actually enjoyed dancing to the music I have never heard.  But the only thought I had at the time was to get out of there as soon as possible.

I didn't come here to party. I remember driving by it so me and my friend decided to stop o n in after dinner.

They had a nice selection of martinis.  I had probably 2 or 3 and a shot and wasn't feeling so buzzed as the usual 2 martinis would do.  So that struck me as odd, maybe I just drink to much =)  I had a French martini which was made really well. I don't remember the other one and I had a Dracula's Kiss shot which was really good and should be a martini.

I didn't walk around so I didn't check out the place, like I said I came here to drink.  One thing though our server was a little too attentive. Every time I turned around to look at the tv she would rush over and ask if i needed anything.  I mean EVERY TIME. So we stopped turning around!

They were blasting Techo pretty loud, had a girl walking around in a hula skirt serving.  The place was jammed packed with men and very few ladies.

    Pretty place.

    Nice big, high-backed velvety booths.
Romantic draped backroom with couches, tables and chairs.

    Large frou-frou martini menu.

    Prices not too crazy, considering.

Service was good, it was pretty busy on a Thursday night.

Open front windows. Nice small outside, sidewalk patio.

The waitress made us chuckle when she carded my step-mom and when she told the waitress she didn't have her I.D., the waitress had to ask the manager if it was okay. It was.

Apparently I'm a sucker for punishment. After having a terrible time at the Martini Club on Milwaukee next to the train station, I convinced myself this second location, also right by my house, would be better. What a colossal mistake.

Again, no one in the bar spoke English. Clientle, fine, but when your waitresses don't have enough of a grasp on the language to take a beer order, there are problems. It was also pretty insulting how the bartender made sure to take care of every single Polish speaking customer before he got to me, regardless of how long I'd been there comparatively.

I can't think of any reason to return to this place. Then again, there is always the chance I'll get hit by a bus and wake up with a love for loud EuroTrash "music".  Yikes.

I give it a star because I have to give it something.  We just moved to the neighborhood and decided to give this place a try.  The service was terrible.  I asked the waitress for an opinion on Chicken Wings or Chicken Fingers.  Her response was "wings are wings, fingers are fingers"  Alrighty then.  When I asked what kind of meat was in the meat OR cheese pierogi(sp) she said "Meat."  the hair in our Chocolate Martini was the bonus for the evening.  Lucky for us, she couldn't add either.
