man, i am so upset at myself for taking about a 6 year hiatus from this place.

their food is TREMENDOUS.  seriously.  unreal.

i credit martino's for sticking it out on short vine - an area that has truly undergone some urban decay.  and now the owner is pushing to make the entire street a bit nicer.  good for you, brother.

kt m. and i are placing martino's on the regular date nite rotation.

    represent.

A Pittsburgh steelers bar in a Cincy neighborhood kind of quiet on a Friday night at 7. Don't be fooled. This place is great.  Value pricing, big portions and great food.  The Pittsburgh style wings with Sparky sauce is awesome ( combo BBQ sauce and garlic) gnocchi is homemade and meatballs are delicious. Tv screens are playing sports and place has chill vibe.  Would return.

Massive servings packed with delicious Italian flavor. Atmosphere isn't great but the food makes up for the Keno screens and Steelers gear. Pretty much everything I've had here has been solid, from the Pittsburgh steak salad to the Volcano to the Mobster two-foot mega-hoagie. Ask about their dessert and they may surprise you with cheesecake wrapped in dough then deep-fried, with strawberry sauce and powdered sugar drizzled on top, or light, crispy, cinnamony zeppole. Too bad they are the Steelers bar of Cincinnati.

This is why you come to Cincinnati, for entertainment, great affordable food and hospitality on the Rhine(ShortVine).  If you like Steelers, plant youself there every week end in The Fall.

Great Spirit, fun fun, and better than sittin alone and playing with yourself.

Order the salad with french fries in it.

OK so I give it 4 out of 5 stars only b/c I've only been there once. But if the follow up trips are as good as the 1st, it'll be a 5star.

FINALLY, a wonderful pizza. Thin, hand/home made dough, home made sauce, cooked just right. We went in @3:30p on Saturday. Both the manager and the waitress greeted us- super friendly. Gave us plenty of time to look over the menu since this was our first visit.

We ordered Mozza-Muna - 1//2 moon of mozzarella cheese, deep fried accompanied by their home made sauce. Hubby (the traditionalist) had a pizza w/ cheese & pepperoni (I thought the pepperoni was spicy- but I'm not a pepperoni fan). I ordered the Mediterranean pizza- pizza sauce, feta, mozzarella, artichokes. Loved it!!

Prices were good. We will go back. Can't wait to try some of their other authentic Italian dishes. That is if I can get past the pizza.

I was introduced to Martino's not long after I moved to Cincinnati, and I've eaten there fairly regularly ever since from taking friends there to having lunch with colleagues. The wait staff are terrific and I know many of them by name. I love places where I feel like I'm seeing old friends again when I visit, and that's what Martino's is to me.

While I'm not a Steelers fan per-se, I do enjoy going there during Steelers games for the amazing fan-filled atmosphere. I went when the Steelers were playing the Conference Championship game in 2011 and the place was going absolutely bonkers! It was great to root with other fans. There were even a few (brave) Jets fans sprinkled in the crowd, but they were treated with respect, and that's priceless during times where opposing fans are often treated poorly and even physically attacked.

The food is good, and comes in such large portions that I generally don't finish my plate... and coming from me that is huge!

Everyone in Cincinnati should visit Martino's at least once. Who knows, you may even become a Steelers fan!

A friend of mine recommended Martino's as a place to go to get good wings, so when I needed to find cable TV for a Ohio State football game on ESPN I headed over.  We tried a few different starters and wings, and I don't think we'll be back again.

The wings were "Pittsburgh style," which apparently refers to the fact they are the full wing, not broken into the drumstick and the thigh.  Martino's deep fries their wings and as a result you get some good crispy bites.  Unfortunately, may were also overcooked and the sauce wasn't very good (mild with spicy garlic on the side).

Our favorite order was the jalapeno poppers, which were nicely breaded and had a tasty cheese inside.  The garlic bread cheese sticks were pretty bland and disappointing - if I'm going to consciously eat that much oil and fat I'd like it to at least taste amazing to overcome the fact that I feel stupid for taking one step closer to a heart attack.

They do have an awful lot of TVs at Martino's, and the staff was very friendly.  Too bad the food isn't better, then maybe we'd return.

Great place.  Friendly atmosphere and good food.  Also, I'm a Steelers fan and this is the only Steelers bar in Cincinnati...yeah, I know there's a reason for that!

Anyway, my wife and I went for a Steelers game and everyone was extremely friendly, service was pretty good considering how packed the place was and they make a close version of a Pittsburgh tradition...the Primanti Brother's sandwich.

I recommend this place, even if you're not a Steelers fan.  ;-)

Ok, forget what I wrote 6 months ago. The prices may be low and the portions large, but the quality is so poor that it's just not worth it. After 5 burgers (burger madness) that were so tough and burnt I couldn't even chew them, I'm done giving Martino's a chance. It's gotta be pretty bad when you look down at a plate of fries, a huge burger and a beer and think that for $3.99 it's still not worth it. Since the burgers are virtually inedible, you're basically paying for a few shoestring fries and a cheap beer. Oh, and they've up'ed the price to $5 for 'burger madness'.
