    Restaurant Review
Living Social Big Mac and Large Fries brought me to this local McD while shopping. Service was quick after placing our order. The food has gone downhill significantly since I enjoyed big macs in college. The size of meat patties appears to have shrunk with the same bun encompassing this "burger" I would like to use this term loosely as other places have elevated the status of a hamburger, McD has taken 10 steps back. The large fry was good, but again appeared only 1/2 full after shaking it. Another odd thing about this McD is the bathroom is locked and you have to get management to open it up....

    Pro- quick, relatively inexpensive meal

Con- Big mac is terrible, poorly filled fries

Hidden deal- Dollar menu is the way to go if you are hungry

I give up with this McDonald's and salad orders. I resort to McD's salads when I at least want something somewhat healthy and mildly inexpensive for lunch. For two weeks now, they've completely messed up my salad orders. Last week, it was a managable screw-up of French dressing instead of Southwest dressing for my Southwest salad. Today, however, was the worst. I asked for my go-to salad of grilled Southwest salad. What I got was a Crispy Bacon Ranch salad with French dressing. WTF?!?! I'm now completely convinced that they just don't listen to orders whatsoever. I guess it really that difficult to take a simple salad order there.

Another review of McDonald's....thus is my life.  I used to frequent this location for breakfast, and occasionally for lunch, when I worked in the Loop.

Their service is ALWAYS friendly.  No attitude, and they're quick.  I also like the serve-yourself ketchup and BBQ thing.

Two bad things: their men's bathroom is generally disgusting (moreso than most) and it's in that total-shithole foodcourt, though that's not really McD's fault (so nothing against them).

I craved Chicken McNuggets so bad growing up, I'd open the passenger door of a moving car to prove a point.  I won every time, with my parents driving to the nearest McDonalds to appease my addiction to McNuggets and Sweet&Sour sauce.  I'm pretty sure they invented child safety locks after my parents pleaded with automobile manufacturers.

And so began the relationship of cokehead (me) and cokedealer (50 Billion served!).

Nowadays, there are few days where I truly crave McDonalds.  But those cravings come when my coworkers and I are hungover.  We usually show up around 10:30AM, right before they stop serving breakfast.

The staff has been trained to robotically chant "HI CAN I HELP YOU" in desperation until customers step up.  It can be quite stressful when you have half a dozen cashiers barking at you, but I usually think about what I want before I approach the counter.  Once you order, your food is out in seconds.

I distinctly remember one occasion where we showed up at 10:45, hoping to still order breakfast and thankfully were still able.  The cheerful manager wrote down her number and told us to call her if we were coming late again.  I'm assuming she wasn't trying to hit on me, as that does not adhere to McDonald's code of ethics.

It's best that you take your food to go, because the food court (commonly known in our office as the Dirty Food Court, DFC, or The Cesspool) will give you insta-depression from lack of natural light and insta-betes, from the layer of oily grease that you will breathe in.

Ah memories.  I wonder if I can open the door of a moving vehicle to get what I want as an adult? Pay raise? Discount on cab fare? A yacht, perhaps?

There are many McDonalds, but there is only ONE "Dirty Ron's."

I tend to only come here on days when I am hungover from last night's rep event and, for about 10-15 minutes, this place is the best idea in the world. Check back with me 10-15 minutes after food consumption, however, and I will most likely be lethargic, staring aimlessly into space as the hangover returns and I start thinking about what I've just done to myself.

I am not a masochist by nature, but this strange behavior certainly seems to take the cake --- and the fact that I can sit here and provide such thorough self-analysis is rather eye-opening/frightening as well...

OK --- back to Dirty Ron's....
What's with the multiple Mickey D's workers always yelling, "Can I help you?" as soon as you walk up? God forbid that you want to take a freaking second and look at the menu; it's even worse for fence-sitters like myself. So today, I decide that I'm going to take my sweet time and pick out exactly what I want. I got hassled about 15 times after saying that I need a few minutes. Now, while I feel incredibly horrible by saying this, reality is reality --- and this type of behavior is not unlike what I encounter when I peruse Chicago's downtown streets, where homeless people are lurking on ever possible corner in an attempt to secure spare change. Hey, Dirty Ron's, while attentive service is one thing, anything in excess can be exhausting!

Do you ever notice how there is always someone at McDonald's who looks kinda gross (except if you're overseas, of course....I did see some good-looking Germans working behind the counter...not that I'm one to hit on the fast-food type --- I would rather kiss a french fry).  ANYWAYS -- yeah, visit this location and determine who that person is for yourself. I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings because chances are that this is an extremely unfortunate occurrence and they can't do anything about it...

Oh, Dirty Ron's. Who would have thought that you would be so interesting?

I know, it's McDonald's, but I wanted to write a review about this one.

Whenever I go there for lunch, the ladies and gentlemen behind the counter get my order out, and FAST!  They never screw it up.  Extra pickles - done.  Hot Mustard for my fries - got it.  Orange Hi-C - check.  Plus, they are all very friendly, which is a big deal to me.

So, 4 stars for having the best McDonald's in the loop, with the friendliest staff.  "Why not 5 stars?" you may be asking yourself.  Easy.  It's McDonald's.  Let's not get crazy.

    I'm reviewing a McDonald's.  Deal with it!!

I don't typically like fast food and really don't eat that much of it.  But my health club is built on top of the Garvey Court food court and the smell of french fries during my lunchtime workouts is sometimes too much for my appetite to deny.  So I indulge occasionally.

I don't know what it is about this McDonald's, but they have the best fries ever!!  I've been eating McDonald's fries my whole life and I've never had them as good as they are here.  They are crispy and warm (sometimes hot) with just enough salt.  And they are perfect each time I go.  It is odd that no matter what time of day, the fries seem fresh from the fryer.  Last night I stopped in with my BF at 7 p.m.  There aren't many people milling about the Loop at this time and the fries were still fresh and delicious.

The staff is very nice.  The ladies that work at lunchtime are hilarious, loud, and a little bawdy.  They all work together to get all of the orders out fast...and I mean FAST!!!  I'm barely done putting my change back in my wallet when they are handing me my order.

Like I said, I don't typically eat fast food and for the most part I don't really think that fast food "restaurants" deserve reviews (they are, after all, the same no matter what state or country you are in) but when the service is outstanding and the food is better than expected...well, I just gotta let people know.
