Mezza Grilled Wraps & Pitas

I really enjoy the Mezza on Madison, so this is too bad this happened. Went to this location for the Shepherd salad. They typically put goat cheese in with what appears to be a melon-baller. Got back to my office to eat it, after a few bites attempt to break the goat cheese apart with a fork and notice a curly hair ingrained in the cheese. My hair is straight and not red-brown like this imposter hair. Upon further investigation, lo and behold there is another hair ingrained in the second scoop of cheese as well. I didn't stop to inspect what kind of hairs these were because I was too disgusted. It's really unfortunate, they assemble the salad in front of you for the most part so I'm not sure where the problem is. However, this is disgusting, and I won't be visiting this location again, and frankly likely not the other locations either.There's something about a hair stigma.

I don't understand the good reviews at all. I had the chicken kabob plate and was extremely disappointed. The chicken was not trimmed. It had skin and gristle in it. It was also dry and flavorless. The vegetables were also dry, and the rice was flavorless. The hummus tasted synthetic, like the cheap stuff you buy in the grocery store. Roti and Haifa Cafe are SO much better. They did not offer any sauces, which were supposed to come with the meal. There are only a few toppings, unlike Roti. I saw pickles, a cilantro-ridden veggie salad (yuck), onions and I think there was lettuce. There was no feta, olives, couscous, grilled veggies, etc. I took a few bites, then threw it out and grabbed a granola bar from the office cafeteria.

The lentil soup is fantastic! This is a fast, friendly little spot. I like the falafel (dipped in the soup, omg delish) and the hummus is a solid B+.
Definitely better than some other places around, and less expensive.
