So, I went here because I was close and there was a Yelp deal. I always love a good Yelp deal! It is for $2 off your meal. The new owner let me know that she does NOT want to honor this deal anymore due to the fact that it was put up by the previous owner and also because chicken prices have gone up! TMI for a customer! I made the mistake of ordering a chicken salad. She did honor the Yelp deal and I am very glad because instead of almost $12 for a salad I paid almost $10! Too much for me for a salad with HARDLY ANY CHICKEN! I guess her way of saving money is to skimp on the portion size. Not cool. I gave 3 stars because the salad was good and fresh. I will not go back, I will drive the extra distance to Panini Grill. Sorry MoMo's.
Review Source:I've come back to Momo's a couple times for lunch now and tried a few other dishes. Their chicken bowl lunch special (to rival Flame Broiler's right next door) is okay. The description and ingredients leads one to expect a smorgasboard of flavors in your mouth but really, it was just another chicken bowl to me. I actually prefer their chicken pita wrap, which comes w/ a side of tzatziki sauce (mmm) and a green salad. I'm not a huge fan of their green salad dressing, though. It's tangy and has a bite to it, but I prefer using the tzatziki sauce to dress my salad.
Momo's is still good, still fresh, and I'm still a fan.
Bit of a shame really...if I'd written this review a couple of months ago I'd have given 4 or 5 stars. Unfortunately they've dropped off a bit. At one point I was eating here a few times a week, now I find myself going back occasionally in the hopes that it's picked back up to where it was.
It's a tasty and healthy choice, great location for local Irvine business parks and overall the service is good. I usually opt for the bowls and alternate between the salmon, filet and chicken. I even introduced a few of my coworkers to Momo's and they were initially impressed. However the last few times the common feedback has been that  portion sizes have become smaller with less meat, beans and salad...but more rice. Also, the meat hasn't been charred and is quite dry. I'll go back and give it another try, but unless they impress next time, it'll be my last.
Pretty yummy!
I went here for a quick lunch the other day. The food is pretty good and healthy.
I ordered the chicken kabob, salad and rice combo. Â However, I'm trying to do the standard cutting out carbs things so I just got extra salad. Â The wait was a little long but not too bad.
The food. Â I really think the chicken kabob was tasty. The chicken was grilled and the onion bell pepper combo was good. Â The salad came with a nice olive oil herb infused dressing. I really liked the dressing. The salad was kind of boring and didn't look like the picture. So I wanted a little bit more.
Overall, pretty good solid Mediterranean fast food choice.
I don't understand why this place has such good reviews..? I ordered the chicken bowl that everyone takes a picture of and it just really wasn't anything special. The restaurant is located in a small food court within this Jamboree Plaza, along with some other fast food joints like the flame broiler. Basically, the chicken bowl was just a bowl of long grain rice that was completely submerged in a heap of pinto beans. A couple pieces of chicken and lettuce is topped on all of that and they give you a small tub of salsa on the side. Honestly, the food was really bland for me and even after I dumped the entire tub of the sauce it was still pretty tasteless to me. It's really cheap, at only 5, 6 bucks per bowl, but I would rather go down to Chipotle if I ever wanted a chicken bowl again!
Review Source:Tried their "addicting chicken kabob bowl".
It was not very addicting, mediocre. The bowl has charred corn, Â rice, lettuce, beans. The beans weren't that fresh and the chicken kabob was NOT charred, kinda dry as well.
The place is  connected to flame boiler and pho bb.
Outside seating is nice in this sub-business district.
Randomly saw this place on my lunch break and went to try it. One of the best bowls I have ever had, especially for the price. First I tried the Chicken bowl. The chicken was fresh and so were are the ingredients. It wasn't like a typical chicken bowl it had corn, beans, rice, veggies etc. The quality of the meat in my opinion also separates it from any other bowl. Decided a few days later to go back and had the Filet bowl. I am very impressed with this place, from the service to the food, it has been a great find.
Review Source:I stopped by Momo's Grill on sort of a whim today--initially, I was actually going to go to BB Pho, but I decided to order at Momo's instead. I was NOT disappointed!! Esmaile took my order and was very courteous and friendly, but the main reason for this post is the FOOD! it was SO good!! I had a gyro for 5.99 and i ate every crumb. I even had to go back up to the counter to compliment the chef. Delish! I am absolutely coming back to Momo's Grill.
Review Source:Since I go to the church next door, my friends came here to grab a quick bite for lunch at the recommendation of our other friends. This place is more of a 3.5, but lacking just a tiny bit to get up to that 4!
The Good :]
- The staff was really friendly and made a few jokes to put a smile on your face!
- I tried the Charboiled Chicken Bowl that was special for the day, so it was $4.99 instead of $5.99. It contained beans, corn, rice, chicken, vegetables, etc and comes with a nice sauce that makes it moist and tasty. Definitely more flavor than the Chicken bowl from Flame Broiler next door.
- $2 off with yelp check in! And a 20% off coupon for your next meal after you order!
- They are extremely quick, but I'm also a bit suspicious then on how fresh it may or may not be.
The Not So Good D:
- Compared to Flame Broiler, you get less overall.
- $1.50 for a can of soda :[. Minus well just go to Flame Broiler and buy a fountain drink instead.
Overall, it's a nice place for your lunch break and is worth trying at least once!
Sop let me just review this place in detail:
Pros:
It's very new place and in a place that there is not other  Mediterranean not expensive fast food around.
The food was ok. It seems like they are better in chicken than the ground beef.
Cons:
So I found this place on Yelp. There was a checking offer saying you get 2 dollars off with any item in the menu . I Showed this to the guy who took my order after I checked in and got the offer, he did not accept the checking offer ! He said it doesnt apply to the wraps that I got which they were items on the menu! Â So the question is, why do you leave a coupon on there any way if you do not honer your own statement?
So in my opinion, they are not genuine ! The thing is, when you go somewhere to get food, it's not just about the easy prepared food, you are paying someone to prepare your food. If these people do not even honer a 2 dollars off coupon, what they put in our food? You dont see what ingredient they use !!
So although, the location is perfect for me, Im not going there anymore !
stopped by Momo's Grill based on someone's recommendation. We went as a group of about 10 students or so.
Most of us checked in via the yelp app and received $2 off. Although they may have taken this promotion down after all us used it! ...
too bad, the food was very good for the money = great value.
I dug the free sample and otudoor eating...
sure is nice to live Socal.
The meat was good, the price was right, but they must use instant rice or something because I bit into a bowl of crunchy rice. Â Not like mmm a little fried and crispy, but undercooked rice. Â My husband could hear the crunch as I bit down.
I feel like this is a major deal breaker because they basically just sell meat and rice. Â And they're right next to a Flame Broiler. Â I won't be back.
found another great lunch option close to work! Momo's is located in the food court area in the daily grill/tapioca express plaza on dupont and jamboree and they serve both mediterranean and mexican type food haha. i opted for the chicken kabob entree which is served with a side salad and basmati rice for $9ish. the meal, i have to say, was surprisingly really good and more than i expected from a little food court restaurant haha. along with kabobs, they serve gyros, wraps, and even tacos haha. i came with some co-workers around 1230pm and it wasnt crowded at all! the staff is super friendly and my food came out pretty quickly - def doable to order there, eat there, and get back to your office all within a lunch hour. i'm definitely coming back and can't wait to try all their other food offerings!
Review Source:First visit here!
Cashier was very nice and offered a sample which therefore lead me to try their chicken kebob plate which comes with rice, vegetables, charbroiled tomatoes and salad. The plate are large and the chicken pieces were big and juicy! Very tasty! Some of the vegetables (green bell pepper and sweet onion) were a little overcooked, but what wasn't closer to the 'charcoal' side tasted good too. There were no charbroiled tomatoes on my plate...why advertise this? The only tomato I saw was the fresh cut kind on my salad. I believe the dressing is a greek yogurt, which was salty and tangy. A nice change from your typical ranch.
The only thing I was disappointed in was the lack of a soda fountain. $1.50 for a can of soda? I'd rather buy a refillable drink from the next place...
Overall, this place is good. Pricing is pretty much the same as other mediterranean places, so come with a well-padded wallet full of green.
If you are looking for an amazingly tasty Mediterranean-style meal, then Momo's is the spot! Â I have gone to eat there several times, and everything I have tried is mouth watering, especially the Filet Mignon Plate. OMG, the filet melts in your mouth like butter! The rice, salad, and yogurt served with it compliments the kabob perfectly. Chicken tacos and kabob are super delicious too. Service is quick and friendly. Â I love that I can finally get a healthy, homemade tasting meal walking distance from my apartment! You must try the melon juices as well...bomb.com/yummy#fresh!!!
Review Source:Momo's had the best chicken bowl anywhere, no one else can even compare. Also there is a gentleman who works there by the name of Justin that completed the experience. His customer service level was through the roof and the personality he has makes you want to come back because you know you'll be taken care of as their customer. He is an excellent promoter of the restaurant bringing in guests from all around the food court with a great positive attitude, presence and energy. This has now become my new favorite place to eat when at work!!! I will defenately be referring Momo's
