I don't love this place as much as others do. Â Don't get me wrong...the food is certainly good. But....I think it is WAY overpriced for what it is. Â Also, I don't like the chicken and can tell that it is frozen. Â I've tried a lot of the menu options and just have never been that crazy about anything I tried. Â Between noodles and co and the potbelly across the street..I'd go to potbelly.
The pop machine is amazing though.
It's like fast food but seems to be a bit better. Â The Japanese udon noodles with shrimp is my go to meal. Â I also had a spicy chicken ceasar sandwiched that rocked balls. Â Nice and spicy. Â The staff is friendly and the place is always clean. Â They also have an awesome futuristic like soda machine that has cherry-vanilla coke and dr. pepper. Â Maybe there is a god.
Review Source:Another soft opening?!?! Â I'll take it!
I love Noodles & Company and think it's a huge step up from other fast food noodle counterparts (Fazoli's, anyone?!). Â I like the smallness and simplicity of the menu, but the creativity of the dishes and the ability to fit anyone's palette. Â As usual, I ended up going with a grown-up mac n' cheese dish, full of tomatoes, bread crumbs, bacon, and meatball-y goodness! Â The friendly employee at the counter insisted that, since it was the soft opening and everything was free, it would be a good idea to throw on a bread, a side salad, and a free dessert. Â Sure, I'll take it! Â I was pretty hungry, but the portions are pretty substantial, and I couldn't quite finish everything. Â I saved my cookie for later :)
This location also has the pop machine of the future. Â Seriously. Â It's this giant chrome looking thing with every type of pop you can imagine, and every type of flavor you could ever imagine there being for pop. Â I am sold solely because they have every freaking flavor of Fanta possible. Â STRAWBERRY FANTA!!! Â Muy delicioso! Â My one critique is that, since the restaurant is small, the pop machine is located in a corner right next to the counter. Â Since it was busy today, the line for the pop machine crossed in front of the registers, and it was a slight traffic jam. Â
Apparently this place is a much-needed fast food option for all the people who live and work on Southport. Â Nearly every person who saw me with my to-go cup asked if it was open to the public yet. Â Sorry, guys, you gotta wait a couple days... but go hungry, and leave happy!
