Decent late night sushi
It's a small restaurant but I've never seen it extremely busy. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you can stand the awkward decorations with old Christmas ribbons, it's not a bad spot.
After 11 pm they have 20+ items ranging from appetizers to sushi to main meals for $2.95 each. This place is byob so it's great when you're on a budget.
Just be careful asking for extra ginger or wasabi, it's $1.00 each!
I'm not sure about the others, but I was there last night for dinner, and it was fantastic! Â The place was pretty empty. Â There were a few people who came in for take out. Â
My friend and I came in with a bottle of wine, since it's BYOB. Â We got great and fast service. Â We ordered four rolls: Godzilla, Spider, Dragon, and Heart Attack. Â All the rolls were exceptional. Â I'm really happy with my experience, and will go back for sure!
Ordered off of Grub Hub for lunch for delivery on Clark st...maybe like a 5-7 min drive, especially on a Saturday around 1pm. Took them just under an hour to deliver and the sushi still tasted pretty fresh. I did like the selection which is why I didn't give them only 1 star. I ordered the shrimp tempura and miami roll. Very disappointed that I only got about 5 pieces for both...and they weren't even thickly cut. Even in a picture on here it shows 8 pieces for a roll!!! COME ON! They crammed both my rolls in the little take out box that lead me to think they may have taken a couple of pieces out to stuff all them in the one box. But even still, for how much you're paying for each of these rolls, I definitely expected a lot more.
The tempura was pretty basic, but very small. The Miami was good but the crunchy outside tasted a bit...stale? Or burnt? And again, very small, hardly anything inside the roll itself. Not worth the $13 for 5 pieces one bit. Probably won't be ordering from here again.
