Holiday Club

Karaoke bar!
I love when this bar has 90's night. It's such a fun crowd and the music is amazing. They do have good specials every night and karaoke in a separate room some nights which is a bonus. Pool table and photo booth are a plus.

I've been going to Holiday Club for random bar nights, birthday parties, my own pre-wedding soiree and for lunch since I moved to Chicago many, many years ago. It took until last night's super dance party for me to realize how super HC really is. The DJ keeps the floor BOUNCING and the bartenders in the back room are fast, attentive and sweet. When you want to get your dance-on in an unpretentious, non-clubby place, this is the spot to do it.

Oh, and the photo booth is a must-visit.

It's a bar! With music, dancing, drinks, meh. The food is meh, the beer selection is bleh, the dancing is OK I guess. Prices are about what you'd expect.

The place is 95% empty any time before about 10, so it is great for a quiet drink and a decent hamburger or something after work or on a weekend afternoon. It really picks up after that, though.

Pretty much "what you'd expect..." no more, no less.
