Byron's Hot Dog Haus

of all the hot dog places in chicago, this place is my favorite!  its a little standalone shop on irving park with very minimal sitting area but the food is the best chicago dog you'll ever find.  the price is VERY reasonable!  a certain chain out there claims to have the best hot dogs.. and the rate is double for the kind of food you'd get here.  i always get the jumbo hot dog with a side of fries, and i can never finish it.  i should just suck it up and get the regular hot dog but the jumbo is just SO GOOD!!!!!  p.s. obama's picture is framed in this place with the owners of byrons.  just saying.. if its president approved, its approved by me.  :)

I live around the corner and saw the $1 hot dog sign and I can't resist cheap tube meat so I went in.

Got a few dollar dogs and they were good, loaded them up with toppings (all free) so I got a really good deal. The people were nice and service was pretty quick so I can't complain.

I have to try some of the other stuff on the menu as it's so close and cheap I can't help but not give it 5 stars.

Awesome take-out.  So much food, for a great price!  Food was delicious.

Double cheeseburger with everything and fries was more than filling and was juicy, topped great, and made my day.

Steak salad was good.  The steak wasn't anything special but it was big and filling.
