Papa Murphy's take n' bake pizza certainly beats those found at grocery stores and it trumps frozen pizza hands down.

When  you're in the mood for pizza, but don't necessarily want to pay upwards of $20 for a pie, then Papa Murphy's is a good option.  Their large and their family size hover around the $10 mark.   Their large seems to run a bit small and should probably only be counted on to feed 3 people tops.

While it's absolutely nothing fancy, I honestly think Papa Murphy's tastes pretty great and the toppings have always been fresh.  I appreciate the option to order a deLite crust, which is a far healthier option than ordering a thin crust from other pizzerias where it will still be dripping in grease.

This location is a bit removed from my typical stomping grounds, so it's easy to forget it exists, but the next time I'm in the area and looking for a cheap dinner that just requires turning on the oven, I'll keep them in mind.

This is our go-to Papa Murphy's and we're always very pleased.  The staff is friendly and efficient and the store owner is great!  They typically have good specials and the frequent customer card is a nice touch.

I like the convenience of picking up a pizza on my way home from work and these pizzas are pretty good and reasonably priced. This location though is the worst in Denver. No one working here seems to care at all about customer service or speed. I have waited in the store up to 35 min for them to make a pizza...absolutely ridiculous.  There also seems to be no management or leadership at this location...no one appears to take charge and run the ship.  The employees are laughing and yelling and whooping it up while customers are waiting forever.  Good pizzas but avoid this location.

The kids who work here kick ass.  They're always polite and my pizza is always good- it's very consistent here.

What else can I say?  The rest (baking) is up to you.

Ok...  Papa Murphy's.  Someone needs to really get to the bottom of what this place is trying to do.  Maybe I am missing something?

The interior is very spartan and is not conducive to dining in.  It is much better to order your pizza to go.  There is only one small bench in the place and it seems to be randomly occupied by whoever is there first.

The wait staff (who, from what I can tell, seem to always be behind the counter and never in the front of house) is very friendly and accommodating.    I did notice a couple of times that at least one employee would be on the phone during service talking loudly about their job which is disconcerting.  I don' t know if the manager actually knew the staff was taking phone calls during work hours or not... but, that is really a minor thing.

I did notice all the ingredients used to prepare the pizzas are fresh and there is a wide variety of menu choices!  I love trying new pizza combinations and Papa Murphy's excels at offering unique choices.

Tonight, I tried the Papa's All Meat.  And once again, I ordered it to go  rather than try to wrestle that bench away from a young mother and her two toddlers.

Now, here is where I have to raise concern.  Once I got the pizza home, I have to tell you... it was WAY undercooked.  I mean, it was, in my opinion, almost raw!  Even cold to the touch basically.  I don't understand how the chef could possibly think that the pizza was ready when they gave it to me.  The whole family agreed: this was the most under-cooked thing we had ever gotten dining out... and we have eaten out a lot!

Luckily, since we were home, I hit upon the notion to just heat up the oven and, well, basically COOK it right there.  I suppose I should have returned it and made a big stink about it. I mean, how else would the chef know he was putting out orders that were so un-cooked?  But, like everyone, I always hate complaining at restaurants for fear the staff will bomb my food with everything they can find in the back.  Scary.  So,  I usually just keep my mouth shut  and never return.

At any rate, my idea worked and after about, oh, 11 minutes or so at 425 degrees, the pizza looked like it should: bubbling melted cheese, toasty crust, nice sizzling meat, etc... Dinner saved!  All I can think is how lucky we were to be in our home at the time and not at a picnic or drive-in or someplace that did not have an oven.  We'd have been screwed!

The redeeming factor here is that the pizza tasted yummy once hot.  Very fresh and really satisfying.  The prices at Papa Murphy's are great too.  A Family-sized pizza will feed a family.  No kidding.

So, aside from the minor chef incident, I am giving it 4 stars and another chance - probably within two weeks - because the pizza WAS good after all.  Maybe they just need to get a new chef.  And, tell the employees not to pick up the phone every time it rings.

I always thought Papa Murphy's looked like the Little Shop of Horror; so cold and lonely across from the Safeway parking lot. With a coupon in hand, we braved it last night as the husband and I had been doing errands and had a million more to do into the night and Lipstick Jungle was coming on. You know, it was bright and clean and had a friendly staff. There were people from the hood picking up pizzas; it was not scary at all; there was no Seymore.

I love that they will do the pizza your way....

I think my way might be why we were not in love with Papa Murphy's. I might have chosen the wrong combination of ingredients and I might have cooked it not enough, although the crust was getting really brown. The pizza itself did not taste fabulous or even very good.

I am going to give 3 stars, which again is not bad, as it was clean, had great service, and had lots of customers with either bad taste or a talent for picking out the right pizza combo. We will be back as they again handed a coupon for $2.00 off AND another for a free cinnamon braid. If I get a good pizza next time, I will up the stars as I would like this place to be a regular for errand night. If not, I will have to take a star away and that will mean many of my neighbors have bad taste.
