Good Pizza, horrible service. Pizza is good but not worth the price or the way they treat you. They treat you like a dollar sign here nowadays. Been going here for over 30 years but never again. They don't honor their own internet coupons and they charge you a full ingredient price if you only get it on half the pizza. Employees are not friendly and there are just too many other pizza places to choose from. There's a Pizza Hut, Rosati's and Dominos all within walking distance. Plus, if you have a problem its impossible to speak with anyone with any decision making ability.
Review Source:This place really is A-OK. I feel bad with all these 5 star reviews to give it 3, maybe its because I didn't grow up on it? I mean no offense, I may go back here, I'm just in no hurry.
Its pizza, plain and simple. We got the double crust, maybe I should have listened to the thin crust rave reviews and started there. Again - fresh ingredients and friendly staff, but just nothing to write home about. Ok, so I wouldn't write home about anything - not even a five star place - because who writes home anymore??? But, you get my point (maybe...). Props for offering Bell's beer, though. A good pizza place always should have a few micro brews on hand. Good call, Papa's.
Such a unique pizza in this ghetto little strip mall! Â The pizza is really really delicious - very pricey though when you compare to chains. Â I love to splurge here though, the ingredients are very high quality. Â However, the meat seems to be what holds all the flavor - so even if you're a tried and true cheese only fan I would recommend getting some kind of topping on your pie. Â The decor and location are so incongruous with the gourmet food that is served here - yum :)
Review Source:one of the bests! i always order a family mamas with papas toppings. the bbq sauce is out of this world. after i pick it up and start driving home i MUST have a little taste of the goodness, next thing i know im half in. my family always laughs that i cannot wait to get home but its ooooooh soooo good.
on the otherhand all the sandwiches/ hotdogs r great too, that is if u cannot wait for pizza.....a must try.
fyi order with extra sauce is a must:)
What the heck did you do to our pizza joint!? Is there a new manager or what!? I've never had such a tasteless pizza! We gave it a second try after the last tasteless experience! But when you have to search your pantry for some pizza seasoning to put on this was a little too much! Please go back to your old formula- very disappointing!!
Review Source:Papa's pizza is hands down the best pizza around! Â The thin crust will make you want to slap your Mama! Â The pizza me & the boyfriend always get from is the Papa's special, but we add pepperoni to it! Â Ask for it to be cooked longer so it more crisp is how I prefer thin crust, and they nail it everytime! Check em out! I kinda wish they had a dine in area but hey whatev, can't have it all I guess!
Review Source:I was out in the area visiting a buddy of mine. Â I was looking for a "good" beef sandwich and my buddy recommended Papa's. Â I was very impressed for a beef place far from the city. Â The beef tasted like a real Chicago beef and the portion was good size as well. Â If you like beefs and are in the area, go here instead of Buona Beef or Portillos. Â i heard the pizza is also good and will try that next time I'm out there.
Review Source:In close proximity for pizza, you have your choices between this place, Pizza Hut and Domino's. Â After being sick of Pizza Hut since childhood, and the fact I would rather cut my tongue out with rusted garden shears than order from Domino's, we decided to give this local, non-chain a try. Â It was all right. Â We ordered a pizza with green peppers and pepperoni. Â It was delivered very fast, which is always a plus in my book. Â The pizza itself was a little bit burnt, and next time I will know to splurge a little bit on extra cheese.
