It's a big place and is usually busy. Looks like a lot of people who work in that area go there for Happy Hour.

As for me, I am not going there again unless I fail to convince my friends to change the venue!!

I understand it's a big bar and they get pretty busy but no matter what it should not take the server 10 mins to finally come to a table. Ordered a beer and took forever to finally get to my table. Ordered some appetizers and paid almost as much as I would pay at a decent restaurant. I ordered the flatbread quesadillas and it was ok. Ordered the Cajun beef bites and they were pretty good but seriously?? 13 bucks for an appetizer at a sports bar??

I guess if I ever decide a venue for a Happy Hour it definitely won't be Poor Richard's!!

For what it is, a suburban sports bar, Poor Richard's generally hits the mark. The bar area is massive and there certainly is no shortage of TV's for catching the game.

I can't speak to the purely dining side of the operation, but I've always found the bartenders to be friendly and generally accommodating. The beer list isn't anything special, but otherwise they have a full bar and a fair amount of drink specials. As for the food - it's not bad and somewhat of a step up from the chain fare that is fairly prevalent in the area (the various burgers and sandwiches offer the most bang for your buck).

Overall, Poor Richard's isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit, but if I was in the area and in need of libations and/or a place to watch the game I'd certainly stop by.

Not a fave, with so many other options, I would suggest other places.

This restaurant is located near the hotel I stay at when I'm at our MN office.  It's convenient, but I will not be going back.  The food was ok, but the service sucked.

    The Good
The menu is varied but not overwhelming. They have a few "signature" dishes and they offer sriracha mayo. Get this to dip your fries in. (seriously, it's awesome! make it at home 1 part sriracha to 3 parts mayo.)  The Philly steak sandwich was ok, not amazing, but hey it's Bloomington, not Philly.

    The Bad
I walked up to the bar at 5:45pm on a Monday night.  It was steady, but not crazy.  I was greeted, asked for my drink choice, and had to ask for a menu.  I was then left alone for 10 minutes, despite trying to get their attention.  My fault for not getting a table I guess.

    The Ugly
I watched one of the bartenders blow his nose, then not wash his hands.  If he would have had his hands anywhere near my food I was prepared to just walk out.  I was never offered a refill on my drink... at the BAR! At the end, I had my credit card in my hands on the counter in front of me for another 10 minutes.  Finally I had to flag down the bartender to run it.

    The short of it.
There are a lot of choices in the area, I would suggest someplace else.
