summary: grumble, grumble, great service, poor food, expensive.

    Longform:
    They have excellent service.
But for their prices, I would rather pay a monkey to do backflips.

Location: they are in a sub-urban island.
The only way to get there is by car (popular model observed were late 90's oldsmobiles).
It's in the shadow of a high-rise real estate building and a community college.

Food: Scallops/Shrimp had sand in them. Not particularly my style.
There was a very odd choice of starches with the proteins. (Avocado bed?)
    Creative liberties in the suburbs?

Drinks: I had their beer (good selection), but my partner was ecstatic over some of their cocktails.

    Price: ouch.

My husband and I took our sons here yesterday for the happy hour menu. We had the house wine (which is $6/glass for California Peak Chardonnay or Cabernet). During happy hour, its a double pour for the same price (see picture). We ordered two dozen blue point oysters ($1 each during happy hour). The oysters didn't have alot of flavor and the cocktail sauce lacked zip and heat. My husband ordered the lobster roll and he said it was mostly mayo and didn't taste very good. He picked the pieces of lobster out of it. He also had a bowl of gumbo. He and I both thought there was an odd spice in the gumbo similar to minced meat pie spice. It was too sweet. I had the softshell crab sandwich and it wasn't as good as it was when he had it for lunch earlier this week. We asked the waitress if it was the same chef all the time and she said it was. She took the softshell crab off the bill because we weren't happy with it. We ordered a side of hashbrowns which smelled amazingly good. They tasted sweet to me for some reason. Our boys had the peel and eat shrimp which was a generous order. They also had the fish and chips and said it was pretty good. We ordered a piece of the homeade key lime pie which was absolutely amazing! Our sons enjoyed the chocolate cake and chocolate gelato, which they loved.  We sat on the patio and it was beautifl while the sun was out but turned cold quickly after the sun dropped behind the building. The staff came out and turned on the heat lamp which I really appreciated since I was in a short sleeved shirt. While we weren't thorougly impressed, we will go back and try this place again. I'd just recommend that the kitchen revamp their cocktail sauce, and be more consistent with their seasoning of dishes.

Location - just look for the glass Rasmussen college building, it's right next to it. The restaurant is very nice and the patio area is really nice too. It's disappointing that the bathroom isn't in the restaurant but it's not a big deal.

This is close to work so we have been going here a lot  lately for business lunches.  I tried the juicy lucy.  Didn't enjoy it at all: not enough cheese and the burger was very well done to the point of being dry.  A few of the others said the fish was good, so it seems that's the way to go at this restaurant.  I'll try that next time.
