Chez Daniel Bistro

No complaints here.  Great service right from the start.  I had the prime rib and  it was very good.  Not to fatty, just wright.  And my wife had some chicken encrusted wrap thing.  Sorry we forgot what it was called.  But she it's pretty picky and not one complaint from her.  
Will be going back soon for the lamb, someone next to us had it and it looked yum!!

Over the years I've had many lunches here for business.  My biggest beef with the place is how dark and depressing it is.  It also feels like you stepped back 20 years (hint it really needs updating)

Service really varies.  Sometimes it's quick and other times very slow.  Food is just OK, nothing special and the menu is a little off for my tastes.

On the plus side it is usually fairly quiet (except for occasional piped in music) and it's pretty easy to get a table.

Better options in the area like Ciao Bella.

We moved to West Bloomington in 2010, and were looking for someplace that wasn't a family dining chain where we could relax, get good service, good wine, good food and unwind after another long business day.

It'd literally been over a decade since I'd been to Chez Daniel, and we had low expectations tied to prejudices around chain hotel dining.

We were SO pleasantly surprised that we now find ourselves going there monthly.

The service is friendly, prompt, professional and never hurried.

Water glasses are always kept full. Fresh bread comes regularly. Best of all, we've never had to hunt down our server when we were ready to go.

The wine list is global and has a good price range.

Portions are ample and a great value for the price. Steaks are always perfectly done. The lamb is beautifully seasoned. Specials keep the menu changing.

The decor is a little dated, but it's clean and well-kept.

We always leave relaxed, satisfied, and feeling well served.
