This location makes it seem like you are in a maximum security bank. Glass at the counter blocks staff from customers. Â Maybe this was needed 10 years ago, but Bronzeville has come a long way since then and most other restaurants don't have it in area. Â It's incredibly hard to hear the order takers through microphone system. Â Same story with drive threw. Â Service is slow. Â They ditched Pepsi for Coke products and mac and cheese, which also gets negatives in my book.
Review Source:This is got to be the worst Popeyes I ever been to. How do you explain running out of chicken at a chicken restaurant, really. Terrible service, all most of them seem to have an attitude. No ice is no ice sorry you got it wrong. This is a pretty regular occurrence. Hate coming here but live so close and I love Popeyes.
Review Source:Popeye's is a great franchise all on its own, so it automatically gets four stars in my book.
This location is in a difficult spot, since it's directly next to a KFC, directly across from Wings Around The World, and there's a Church's within a few blocks as well. Â Still, I always have to stop in at this Popeye's if I'm ever in the area. Â It's not uncommon for me to have a bounty of wings from WATW and still walk into Popeye's to get some biscuits, french fries, and maybe a couple of pieces of that spicy fried chicken as well.
This location in particular could use with more specials / family meals. Â The smallest special at this place (other than the Wednesday deal) is something like 10 pieces of chicken and two large sides. Â I've been to other locations with more offerings to get me a good deal on some delicious chicken.
Still, it's Popeye's and that's what gets it four stars. Â The staff is average and the deals are minimal, so it shall remain at four stars.
