Can I give them 10 stars? Just had my wedding here, and it was perfect. Every aspect was lovely, and all of our guests had an amazing time. I also have to give them extra points for an amazing beer list and the tastiest vegan carrot cake around.

The beer selection is certainly more impressive than the food.

This wonderful section of Brooklyn hides treasures. Dumbo is its own little world of excitement. This wharehouse has a restaurant, bar, weddings and a small movie theAtre with odd movies. The theatre serves food, drinks and popcorn in little brown bags with tons of butter and Brooklyn's own made brewery beer.  The seats are re cycled carseats. It was a great cozy atmosphere to chill after a water taxi ride and walk on the Bklyn Bridge. A must to try.

If you live or work in DUMBO (I have done both), you will see the signs for reBar and all of its re-whatever about. I didn't eat here until I had passed it countless times in four months, but a friend had come over and we needed something semi-affordable and quick so we didn't freeze. What we got was less than satisfying.

The interior of reBar is beautiful and eclectic, and the atmosphere is decidedly cool. It's the kind of place you'd want to hang out at if you had a lot of disposable income and no care for the actual meal you consumed -- which brings us to the biggest problem; the food here is not good.

Our meal started with a complimentary bowl of paprika popcorn. It wasn't salted, nor buttered: it was just a big bowl of popcorn cooked in paprika. It was interesting. Just interesting. Eating it was unique, unusual, and something I don't intend to repeat.

My friend ordered mac and cheese and a cheese plate with chevre and pear. The mac and cheese was standard baked mac and cheese, completely adequate but unforgettable. The cheese plate was simple and elegant, but they didn't pick a good pear to offset such a strong cheese. Both were about $8.

I made the mistake (I cannot stress MISTAKE enough) of ordering the pulled pork sandwich. It came with fries that were actually the best part of the whole meal, but the sandwich... How do I describe how this was? Let me make a pun:

    reBar? More like reGurgitate.

This sandwich was so, so disgusting. It tasted like pepperoni smothered in ketchup. I couldn't force myself to eat it, no matter how hard I tried, because it tasted like some disgusting concoction a 6 year old would dream up.

Overall, reBar has a nice atmosphere and some interesting items, but nothing is actually good, and some of the stuff is downright awful. Eat there if you must, but be aware that everything on this menu is a gamble.

It started off well enough, with the server telling us 25 min wait and coming to grab us from the smaller of the two bars (which had a pretty solid live band playing...nice) in 10 mins. The waitress was very cool and kind in her own Brooklyn, laid-back-hipster way, and was willing and able to give dish recommendations. Really liked the vibe/ambiance of the place. We got the polenta with egg and truffle to start which was absolutely a 10/10. And for dessert, we had the fruity pebbles cake (banana bread cake with fruity pebble frosting and fruity pebbles sprinkled throughout the cake and dish), which was also very good. The mains were pretty bad though, even if they were half the price (they weren't). The scallops ($33) were crap and the Salmon ($25) was below average. My date nailed it - go for brunch, get a bloody mary and the polenta and call it a day. Would not go back for dinner, even if I happened to be in the area.

The bar is to die for! Great looking place and very sexy atmosphere. Food was fantastic which you can obvously see the care and preparation. Went to a wedding so we had the place to ourselves but i will be back here to check out the crowd. Bet it is on point!

Bar scene is commendable. Big, enough space to probably find a seat. Cocktail menu needs a revamp.

Food is actually not that cheap and is mediocre at best. It just feels weird inside.. Actual tables and chairs are pretty big and you feel a bit lost in when sitting down with a group of friends. Food menu is almost too big. Wait staff was a bit clueless and took a little longer than hoped. It was fine.. but nothing to rave about.

There were these delicious mussels that are now gone from the menu. Also, I wish the bottle of red wine that we ordered came with a warning: Do not drink the last 1/8 of liquid, there's sediments at the bottle.

Rarely venture out to Brooklyn but really loved this place!
First of all, it looks like a former run-down warehouse was turned into a chic-hipster mega-bar. It is gigantic but doesn't feel empty. Love the simple decor and cool vibe.
The beer selection was really great with the only down side being that the selection is only written out in one corner and its hard to read all the items, depending on where you are seated. The waitress was very pleasant and we ended up chatting her up a bit :)
We had a few snacks from the new dinner menu that was just introduced this week. The smoked duck carpaccio was so great that we had to order another one before dinner was over. The avocado and crab dish was really nice, although, I think could use a little more flavor. They fries were very thinly cut and are never a bad choice.

    I'd definitely come here again.

Went randomly after work on a Friday night with my friends. There was a pretty good selection of Brooklyn beers and the scene wasn't overly hipster as in most places anywhere in Brooklyn and the LES. Later on during the evening they had a DJ and they played a lot of old school hip hop music and since the space cleared out my friends and I got to drunkenly dance around. Plus one of the bartenders was a cutie, in the not too pretty, kind of boys I grew up with in Brooklyn kind of ways.

It basically met all my criteria:
    Good Beer: Check
    Good Music: Check
    Fries: Check
    Not overly crowded: Check

Good food. Better than average beer selection. Great staff.

Prix fixe is a good deal. Lots of selections for each of the 3 courses.

I had the polenta with egg and truffle. My God was that delicious!  Great texture. Perfect comfort food.

Beef carpaccio was delicious as well. Sauce tasted a little too much like ketchup.

Salmon was a bit salty. The top had a nice crunch like I like it.

Short ribs with egg noodle were delicious. A wee bit strong on the butter. Carrots, asparagus and the tiny potatoes added a lot to the dish instead of just being on the side. I was surprised that the short ribs were on the tough side. That was a bit of a disappointment.

The desserts were ok. The banana dulce de leche cake was huge, but lacked flavor. The frosting on top and in between layers was about 1/2 thick and had little flavor and was hard. My gf ended up having a big pile of icing leftover.

The cheesecake trio was good. The spring roll cheesecake was absolutely delicious. The lollipop was ok, although the cheesecake wasn't creamy. And the chocolate hickory was inedible to me. I expected that since I'm pretty sensitive to smoke/ wood.

The ice creams were pretty good. Rum raisin had a strong alcohol taste to it - not a good alcohol though. Mixed berry was great for cutting through the heaviness of the cheesecake. I took a bite of ice cream every time I took a bite of cheesecake.

The waiters were very delightful. Even the waiters who weren't serving us. Ready to talk about most of the dishes. I was disappointed when I had a question about one of the dishes, and she admitted to not trying it.

Went here once before with my brothers, but went back again for a private wedding party for my boss. It was my brothers and our mom as our +1 (I know, awww.)

The food was mostly good, despite limited veggie options for my brothers. However, the ribs sucked really bad. I mean TERRIBLE!

Regardless, the service was spectacular and they had no trouble pouring stiff drinks despite it being an open bar.

A must try if you're in DUMBO.

First off, what's not to like about a restaurant that takes reservations via Yelp? Points for that.

I met a friend here for dinner, and had a generally enjoyable time. I can't comment on the drinks (I didn't have any) but I really enjoyed my Tartiflette! I feel like not very many restaurants make Tartiflette to begin with, so that was a treat. Plus it's an amazingly fun word to say. Okay, I'm legitimately probably giving reBar a bonus star for Tartiflette being an option at all. It was delicious- creamy, and the lardons were exactly right.

My friend had a pork dish and also really enjoyed it.

I'd definitely go back if I was in the neighborhood, or meeting someone else in the area, but I'm not sure it'd be worth the treck into Manhattan and back out if it wasn't convenient for some other reason.

I love ReBar. It has a special place in my soul. It takes me 10-15 minutes to get here from work. If I knew where I was walking off of the a,c line getting out at high street it would be faster even. This restaurant/bar used to be solely a theatre house and was converted a number of years ago. But the good and interesting news is that they kept one of the movie theatres still inside of it! And they show weird art/indie flicks from time to time in the back rooms. Bathrooms are a little high school gross here. But the inside of the bar is quite beautiful with low lighting, brick walls and gorgeous over-hanging chandeliers.

Come during happy hour or lunch. I can't manage to finagle a 2 hour lunch ever. But they have an $8/10 lunch special that sounds amazing.  They DO have $2 off anything on their draft menu until 7pm though, which I take advantage of every few months. Considering the quality of their craft beers and that its a rotating beer menu and changes every time I come this makes me a happy girl. Craft beers with rotating menus is MY THING. The only complaints on the pours was that one of the bartenders said 'they don't do samples' at this place. My friend wanted to try a beer before fully committing to finalizing on getting a full pint since she wasn't sure on some of the choices. It was kind of odd and out of place. I mean, were not in middle school here. Most places allow you to sip a beer before buying a freaking pint, right? Weird. The other bartender apologized and let her change her mind though which was pretty nice.

The food here is decent for happy hour as well. You can get for $3 each their smoked gouda mac and cheese, penne alfredo, and grilled chicken. They're not too small either portion wise for a small plate. It's a pretty hefty small plate. There also is a $45 dinner pre-fix which we split the other night amongst three people. My former co-worker opted for their burger and shoe-string fries, we got as their secondi their gouda mac n' cheese and for desert 2 enormous slabs of cake. Their cake is the size of my head. I don't even know how I went about eating this mammoth. The snickers cake was interesting. I was very intoxicated while trying to eat this. But it was chocolaty and moist is all I remember and the oreo was a little bland but still sweet enough to be amazing. And when you are sobbing over people that treat you like shit and haven't eaten in half a week after trying to drink the world, cake is great.

reBar is STILL my absolutely favorite gastropub in DUMBO, however I have to update my review in lieu of yesterday's CAKE experience...

Let me just say, I DO NOT like Courtney Love AT ALL - but Hole did have some catchy songs back in the day and remember the song "Doll Parts" where she belts out, " I want to be the girl with the most cake" - well last night, my friend and I were certainly the girls with the MOST CAKE.

I knew reBar made a mean Red Velvet cake, but last night I learned that such things existed here like Reeses Cake, TWIX cake, SNICKERS Cake and the standards like Chocolate Chip/Peanut Butter Cake, Oreo Cookies N' Cream cake and a Bannana Pineapple Cake (looked awful to me as I don't like either flavor - but I'm sure it's orgasmic tasting if you do, lol)...

We ordered the $45 prefix menu last night and split it amongst our group of three. We went with a Second, a Main course and a Dessert - but with all these RIDICULOUS cake options I made an executive decision and ordered an other piece of cake.

The main course we chose was a medium reBurger for the guy in our group, he liked it a lot and it was served with pretty delicious shoestring fries, they were tasty but certainly didn't crack my top 10 favorite fry list (which to be honest I wasn't even aware existed until I began to write this review...lol).

As our second we went with their decadent & creamy smoked gouda mac n' cheese - they brought out two servings which was great as far as the $12 value goes, I'm unsure if the 2 servings was an error or if they actually do that for the prefix - but needless to say my girlfriend and I crushed those mac n' cheese dishes with a quickness - In my opinion there's no greater comfort food than pasta and we certainly needed some comforting...

Now for DESSERT. LET THERE BE CAKE(s)!!!

My friend had her heart pretty much set on the Twix cake ever since her beautiful eyes glazed over as she longingly stared up at it in it's glass case. I was between Snicker and Oreo Cookies N' Cream - I went with the latter after one of the chefs told me that the Snicker and Twix cakes were closer in similarities than the latter option so Oreo Cookie Cake one...not to mention the frosting on it looked RIDICULOUS (and it waaaaaaaas -_-).

I could go into crazy detail here about each cake, but I'm not. I took a copious amount of pictures and you can find them attached to this review...(cake) pictures can speak a thousand words. Just know that if you come here to enjoy their fantastic selection of international beers (mostly German and Belgium with a few other imports sprinkled in) you should also try the cake. 1 slice is like $8.75 but can EASILY please 3 people. CAKE. So amazing here...who knew?

    I love you, reBar {3.

Such a delicious and gorgeous place! Mac and cheese with bacon is to DIE for. French fries are amazing. We had a pulled pork sandwich and a reburger. Burger was great, pork was good.

The Harissa Mayonnaise, which comes on the burger, is so yummy. We got an extra side of it to dip our fries in.

After dinner we moved to the bar for a cocktail, because the vibe of the place is just cool. The selection of beer, wine, liquor, and cocktails very extensive.

One star off my review because the one cocktail I ordered was unavailable. Also, our service during dinner wasn't great.

Loved this place when I went with my friend for lunch the other day. Good service and great food. I may have lucked out on my meal because I was told the cook is really good at cooking the black grouper I had. Will be back next time with another friend, will order something else, and see if it's really as awesome as it was the first time.

You know... I don't know.  I keep trying to LOVE it.  I've been here many times. BUT it just doesn't grab me.  It's so huge, and so dark, and I don't feel as if they have particularly great cocktails or wine.  They do have a nice selection of beer.  I ended up coming here by default because there aren't too many places to go in DUMBO.  I wouldn't ever come here alone for a beer, and the place is often really loud and crowded.  Meh.... I think it's just not a good fit for me.  I prefer less assuming places in the area, like the Henry St. Ale House.  I will come back -- I always do -- but it's not my first choice.

Three stars only for their awesome draft beer selection. They had 3 rare beers that I actually was enthusiastic to try which is rare. Tap lines were clean, beer was fresh and awesome. The servers were bitching and moaning amongst themselves and seemed totally disinterested in pouring drinks or "smiling" etc.. The music was cheesy club music and blasting loud. Great beer, lame vibe, at least the night I went.

I came to reBar for some pregaming before a nearby event but this establishment shaped up to be a great destination spot. As soon as I sat at the bar, I noticed two chicks next to me scarfing the most amazing looking chocolate cake. My only negative about this place is that I inhaled my amazing burger so fast while sneaking bites of my friend's perfectly seasoned popcorn which left me no space to treat myself to dessert. Now I'm left with a serious case of FOMO(Fear of Missing Out) so I HAVE to go back and taste that cake.

I was also hyped to see a coffee porter on their beer menu. I had several.

Can't wait to come back and try all the popcorn flavors and maybe I'll see a movie too!

After strolling around DUMBO on beautiful Saturday afternoon, a few of us came here for lunch and everything about this place was perfect!

Once inside, this restaurant/bar was huge but of course I would have never known this by looking at it from the outside.  With plenty of space, we didn't have to wait long and was seated immediately. The bar area was beautiful and I especially took a liking to the exposed brick wall that made this place look super cool and chilled, especially with the street art that they had hanging near the walk way to the restroom.

As for their food, it was super affordable and tasty. I ended up ordering their Fish Banh Mi ($10) and it was pretty good. Not only did they cook my salmon perfectly but my side slaw of shredded mango, fennel and apple was refreshing and matched perfectly with my dish. Although I can't say my sandwich tasted like an authentic Vietnamese sandwich, I still would consider ordering this dish again.

As for alcohol, they offer a slew of drinks and our bartender was also very nice while serving us. Now that Spring has arrived, I definitely plan on coming back here again and would highly recommend this place to anyone who is around the area.

I've been here a few times and I haven't been disappointed. Most recently, I ordered the chicken tenders, feeling like I settled for fried bar food and was pleasantly surprised to have a plate of nicely seasoned, grilled chicken. The lemon artichoke dip was also good. The staff is friendly and the bar has a rustic, cozy feel that's really welcoming.

After wandering around DUMBO, pretending to be an art aficionado and lover of interesting urban structures, we were hungry and one of us was hungover to boot.

reBar has been on my to-taste list for a while thanks to numerous references from friends to go check it out so this was the perfect opportunity to, well, go check it out.

The atmosphere is really relaxed - it almost feels like you're in a barn because it's open and airy, but at the same time warm and rustic. Apparently, it's also a wedding venue. I could see it being a *very* cool wedding venue.

We were there for lunch and the menu won me over - banh mi, falafel burgers, smoked gouda mac and cheese?! Not to mention the multitude of sides, the awesome beer list and other goodies.

I had the falafel burger and shared a side of mac and cheese with my lunch buddy. He had the turkey panini with the skinniest shoe-string fries I'd ever seen. Of course, when I saw they had one of my favorite beers on hand, I was even more excited for lunch. It's the little things, ya know?

Now, on this visit, not all was perfect. I originally wanted the fish banh mi, but they ran out of the fish. They also mixed up our orders and while the beer came out lightening fast, our food was not the same. We didn't really grumble, though we were looking meaningfully at the server station after a while - this translated into profuse apologies from the waiter and them comping our mac and cheese. In my opinion, that's great service. We didn't have to grumble, they realized something was up, fixed it and also went the extra mile.

Thank my lucky stars that I get to come back here this week!

This is a great place! I've been making my way here off and on for a year now, sometimes for a beer and sometimes for a great meal and a beer. They're constantly getting new beers in, and the staff is always very nice.

Just be careful is you're craving the ReBurger on a weekend that they're hosting a wedding, but other then that this place is great in my books.

We came here last night as an after party and we sat at the bar. It was rather empty for a St Patty's day. The bartenders were nice, although the one that was waiting on us, didn't know much about the many scotches they have on the wall. Well, at least the cookies at the bar were awesome!

They were also out of 1800... like which bar is EVER out of 1800?

I wasnt so impressed by a place that has such great reviews.. I just expected more.

The owner read our previous comment and contacted us for a reTry.  The floor manager and our fav Rosina (wait staff) delivered it!  The only constructive criticism I can offer is for them to re-examine their steak meat quality.  We really felt their effort in regaining our confidence, and we will start going back for our Friday night local dinner.  Thanks!

Pretty awesome weekend menu at affordable prices!

Got myself the burger here for lunch - I think my entire group got the burger. It was juicy, big, and tasty (I'm talking about the burger here, you perv).

The burger comes with a side of slaw that's also pretty tasty. Our server was attentive and nice. There weren't a lot of diners (we went at an unusual hour), so the service was fine.

I dined here this week with a large group of people and it was a consensus amongst the group that this place was a hot mess.

There was some confusion over our reservation and our menu (we negotiated a set menu prior to arrival with our Event Planner that apparently was never communicated to the kitchen).  We ended up having to order a limited menu that was frustrating to the group.  The first two appetizers I ordered were "unavailable" and the first two entrees I ordered were "unavailable". I had to go with my third choice for both.

The waiters were friendly and efficient but incredibly uninformed about the most simple menu questions. (i.e. can you describe the duck fat porterhouse to me?  Can you recommend a nice lite beer?).  Answers to both were "I'm not sure, let me go ask."

The food itself was forgetful.  I had a salad that was uninspired and boring.  I had the calamari that looked amazing and was very different - and it was good (not great).  I had the NY Strip Steak which is one of the worst steaks I have ever had.  I have never in my life not finished a steak and in this case I didn't even eat half.  It was dry with no flavor.

The decor is cool and different and I really wanted to like this place - check that, I really wanted to love this place, but between the blah menu and the uninspired service I will not find myself back at reBar any time soon.

I am a total Manhattan snob when it comes to restaurants, and walking into reBar totally made me change my mind. I completely loved the environment and vibe from the moment I walked in. It had such a sexy and sultry flair to the decor I was immediately into it without tasting a thing.

We started in the bar where we ordered beer from their extensive craft beer list, some of them I have never heard of and that totally excited me. We went over the menu while sitting in the bar and I wanted to order everything.

After getting a table we started with the signature polenta that just melted in my mouth with the egg and truffles, I was so into it! Then came the mac and cheese which was over the top amaze with creamy gouda goodness, we had it with bacon and it just totally made the dish! Then came the beef carpaccio, it had such kick to it that was surprising and the egg and capers made it over the top. Then our main course came, I ordered the half chicken with mashed potatoes that was seriously the best I've had. The chicken was so juicy, and the mashed potatoes were so creamy and buttery. My friend ordered the short ribs, which had the best sauce and tasted so good with the noodles! I wish I wasn't so full because I wanted to try their dessert.

I can't wait to come back here and try everything on the menu, it is now my favorite spot. So worth it!

I stumbled in here yesterday morning about 10 am, completely frozen and starving. I expected them to be closed, but seeing as it's the only place in Dumbo I'd been and the nice man smoking on the street recommended their lunch, I thought I'd give it a try. ReBar is a great space. It is absolutely huge and warmly decorated in polished woods and tiffany lamps. It really is the perfect place for a large gathering, particularly if not everyone knows each other. There are so many tables and nooks that for a large bar it actually feels very intimate. I often find myself here in the winter, and it's always warm and cozy.

Anyway, I was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Shaunna, who was super sweet and brought me hot coffee and an apple (?) right away. The breakfast menu was awesomely priced, all egg sandwiches were only $4, and you can get an assortment of add-ons, none exceeding $5. I got an egg and cheddar sandwich with a side of Italian sausage and home fries. All of this came out to $12. $12! And the coffee was free! WHAT? Everything was super tasty and fresh. The sandwich came on a toasted ciabatta roll with some pesto like sauce on it, and the eggs were super fluffy (and I am really particular about eggs!). I decided to write this review when I came back from the bathroom to a fresh cup of coffee and a refilled water glass. I didn't have to ask! How did she know??

Also, even though the place is huge, that early in the morning it felt really intimate. The bartenders were setting up, and I overheard this gem that has kept me chucking:
Waitress: I made a vegan cake once. Burly bearded bartender: I made a vegan cry once.

Great place for (apparently!) breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks.

This is an awesome, trendy bar located in the heart of DUMBO.

The bar is good for after-work drinks. On Thursday afternoons and evenings it is packed with people who work in the local area. This includes employees from a lot of cutting edge cool companies in the neighborhood like Etsy and Jacques Torres Chocolatier.

The beers are  the thing to come for. Beers are $3 during happy hours and $7 at all other times. They have several varieties of craft beers, many locally brewed in Brooklyn.

On weekends at late evenings the place becomes more of an casual, upscale restaurant. I have not had the chance to try the food yet.

Let me start off by saying how much I LOVE this place! They have bacon flavored popcorn for starters!! The food is delicious and every time I go there it the flavors seem to get better and the menu is even more desirable. That is saying a lot because I was a restaurant manager for 7 years at an upscale place here in the city.

The first few times I went was for their lunch special. $8 for a juicy 1/2lb sirloin burger with a choice of regular or seasoned (amazing btw) fries, unlimited fountain sodas, salad, slaw. I also frequented the bar from time to time. Once when I asked for a Johnny Walker black, the bartender didn't have anymore left, he told me to hold on a sec, and came back with Johnny Walker green and didn't charge me for the upgrade. Great Service! I soon started to go there for dinner as well and realized how cool this place is. The decor is awesome with cast iron, brick and wood finished running through the place. The wait staff is super friendly without sacrificing, professionalism. They were also great about reserving a table to accommodate a birthday party during a really busy time of the night. But they all exuded a brooklyn "funk" without making it less professional.

Chef "Jeremy" is truly a master of the hospitality industry! The food choices and presentation are phenomenal and unexpected from the casual decor of the restaurant. He personally greets tables and has the charismatic personally to partner his extensive expertise in food. The last time I was there he recommended the 7-hour slow roasted pork ribs and there were out of this world! Other choices that you MUST HAVE are the Mac n' Cheese, Organic Broccoli, Saku Ahi, Mussels and don't forget about the juicy burger. The List goes on but this post is already lengthy. Enough said: Go to this place if you are visiting NYC. Great spot not only for visitors but a great neighborhood spot located right underneath the bridge in DUMBO. CHEERS!

Re-Bar is definitely a hot spot in Brooklyn! I lived across the street for from Re-bar for a few years and used to go to Re-bar all the time.  It has a really cool vibe in there, good music on the weekends, good menu selections and also has a good independant cinema.  CAM, one of my favorite Brooklyn artists has his work there and has regular shows highlighting other BK artists. Also, one of my favorite bartenders Gabe works there. I am more of a creative cocktail drinker and Gabe can make me some really great drinks.  A cocktail from Gabe is like adding a bow to a wrapped gift box.
As I am a very picky reviewer and do not easily give four stars, but, for all of the reasons that I love Re-Bar- 4 Stars, I am a fan!

Been to ReBar twice. First time was pretty good, ordered the roasted octopus appetizer, and baby beets salad with chicken.

The octopus was delicious - perfectly seasoned and cooked. The salad was nothing special. Just Salad has better offerings.

The second time was terrible. I ordered the vegan sandwich and a friend ordered the ny strip steak. Both were extremely salty we could not eat it. My friend also asked for the steak to be cooked medium rare and it came out hard as a brick. Never again.

Went to reBar for a private event this past Saturday - so my review should be read with that in mind.

Venue: hip, historic, ambient, welcoming, loud, comfortable, relaxing.

Food: not sure what the regular menu looks like - but the wedding food was top tier.  There were four passed appetizers - sliders, ceviche, sweet potato cakes and mac and cheese.  Had all but the mac and cheese - all very good and out of the ordinary for wedding fare.  Dinner was so out of the norm, and so good because of that.  Buffet style: some sort of chicken dish (decent), some steak (rare, but not a lot of flavor), steamed broccoli, roasted butternut squash slices, quinoa salad and a salad.  Everything was healthy and for the most part prepared well.

I would love to try this place again, under non-nuptial auspices.

Oh, about a dozen beers on tap - all delicious and the variety was great - black ipa, imperial ipa, traditional ipa, plus a couple of stouts, lagers, ale, etc...

Cannot say enough about ReBar.  I first met Jason the owner when I was considering having my wedding there.  He is one of the nicest, friendliest and accommodating people in all of Brooklyn.  The space itself is gothic, complex, dimly lit, and rather beautiful with iron-wrought fencing throughout the space, stain glass windows.

You have the option of having a drink at the bar or sitting down for dinner.  The menu is varied and a bit of a hodgepodge of American (burger, fried chicken, steak), Asian (katsu, fried rice), with a tinge of offal on the menu for the less squirmish (gizzards and hearts and livers, oh my!).  So most people in your party will be able to find something they enjoy.  There is also a $39 prix fixe for three courses and you can go all savory (without dessert) or have your dessert if you'd like.

There are LOTS of events, including weddings, parties, screenings, etc. at ReBar so check their online calendar before you head out to Dumbo.  Sometimes there are Kick the Keg promotions, and their New Years Eve soiree is always fun.

Came here to photograph a wedding reception on a blistering 95 degree day in June. there was enough AC to keep people relatively cool.
Wedding was awesome, the bride and groom brought in comedians to do an interacial bit and also conduct the ceremony and it was alot of fun. This kind of space was great for a more relaxed atmosphere and laid back wedding.
Used the theater seating to get a great shots of the exended family, and then got to go on the rooftop for  some great pictures. Although the rooftop was not for the public, getting access for the bride and groom was easy and an amazing experience. The view of the Manhattan bridge from that close up was spectacular.
I'm giving this place five stars primarily for the sliced steak, It was heavenly. The rest of the buffet was great too.
Good times at Rebar. Venue was perfect for a less traditional event.
