I went with my Family for Karaoke and the service was terrible. The prices they told us over the phone were incorrect.
The basement smelled like there was a gas leak
They made us pay for each song we performed even though we were told we could perform as much as we wanted as long as we ordered food and drinks (which we did)
I've been here a few times. Mostly with groups of people to karaoke downstairs. It's fun drinking tsing tao and belting out a good song.
The thing that makes it fun or not fun is the other people/groups in the room. Last night there was a very drink group who hogged the stage. We tried submitting songs for $1 a pop but they would inevitably be sung by someone else. Guy with a flower in his hair apparently took charge of his group and didn't share the venue. (Not to mention he snuck a cigarette...gross in a basement with no ventilation).
We ended up hanging out at the bar upstairs instead. The bartender made my friend a really great lychee martini! One of the best I've tasted and friend was happy.
We ordered fried dumplings and wings which were edible but not great.
I'll go back here for karaoke again because it doesn't get super crowded, but again, it's a people dependent experience.
