Pizza is just so so but it is reasonably priced and they have a lot of choices for toppings. Also the pizzas are ready pretty quickly. If you want a quick pizza and convenient pizza place then I would recommend this but if your looking for the best pizza in Chicago then don't bother going here.
Review Source:Let's be honest here, the pizza isn't the best but certainly not the worst. Â RBOP needs to work their execution a little and they are sitting on a gem. Â Roscoe Village has clearly shown an interest in artisan brick oven pizzas, one needs not look further than Frasca's sidewalk in the summer. Â It's easy to imagine this would be a successful delivery concept in the winter. Â I live right around the corner so I was rooting for this place, I'm still rooting for it, but it needs some work. Â
The pizza is way to greasy. Not sure why, nothing on my pie could have produced this much grease, I can only suspect the dough was doused with too much olive oil prior to the toppings. Â I enjoyed the toppings, I had the balboa, it was rather spicy but flavorful. Â The only problem was the toppings slid off the crust due to the grease which left me with a nice piece of toppingless crust. Â The now naked crust had a wonderful crispy bottom and edge but the topside resembled something more like a wet noodle. Â And thin wet noodley crust is not an ideal vessel for transporting tasty toppings into ones mouth. Fix the grease and you fix your pizza.
The reviews for this place are far too harsh. Â I must admit that I have yet to have the pizza so I may revise upon doing so. Â I have had both the sandwiches and salads on from the new menu since the change and they are a DEFINITE upgrade. Â The chicken parm is really good and the pollo fuego is unique, delicious and certainly spicy. Â The homemade chips are a big step up from the small bags of chips Robey had. Â The lunch specials are the same as before which I was glad to see and are a great deal at $6 for a sandwich or salad. Â The addition of a couple tap beers is a nice option as well. Â More of a pick up or delivery spot but it would be nice to have a draft if you decide to eat in. Â As I said, still need to try the pizza but I definitely recommend the place since they switched over.
Review Source:Riverview Brick Oven Pizzeria is really yummy...14 inch cheese pizza is only $10 and they have lots of ingredients to choose from. Their dough gets super crispy in the brick oven and they make it from scratch in house! Â The pizzas are bigger than Robey's and I think the ingredients are better quality. I like their brick oven sandwiches too...the buffalo chicken and the BLT with house made chipotle mayo are my favorite.
Review Source:This is some of the worst pizza I've had in Chicago. Â Tastes like they use cheap, standard tomato sauce and the greasiest toppings. Â I'd rather have had a frozen pizza. Â Service was also pretty terrible. Â Nobody was at the register for about 5 minutes at lunch, with the restaurant completely empty.
