Great coffee and good breakfast served all day. Check out the scramblers!

This place saves me when I have a lot of work to do!  For some reason, I can't do work at my apt because it's too quiet and if I put the TV on it will distract me.  But at R&M, there is just enough background noise to keep me focused and they have coffee and liquor!  Yay!  I can get coffee when I need to hyper-focus (stats hw) and sip on a beer/cocktail when I need to read a few papers.  Best place ever - open early, open late!

I went here for Thursday's trivia night and really enjoyed myself. This is definitely a "takes trivia seriously" kinda crowd, but it's also a spirited, fun group. The trivia host was funny and appeared to actually enjoy leading trivia. It had a hipster vibe, but also seemed friendly to just straight-up dorks like myself.

I had some tea during and after and was happy with that as well. The staff seems to enjoy their work, which makes a difference. I'll be back.

I hunted around Denver for the perfect weeknight homework spot and this is it! I sit at the bar because the company is good and it is easy to focus as well. Bode is the best and I love seeing him every Wednesday. Everyone else that works there is friendly and helpful as well.

My husband and I went there during a day long date on Valentine's Day. We sat at one of the tables and played a game of Sorry! while drinking coffee and beer. I love that there are board games available. We had such a lovely time.

The coffe is excellent and the food is tasty. The company is great and the service is even better. Go here!!

I've never actually had coffee here, but I've had several sandwiches, their PB&J smoothie and the banana puddin'. There is something seriously addicting about that puddin'. Probably heavy cream? At any rate, delicious!

The staff has always been awesome here.  This is a really great place to go and get some work done, or even to sit down with a couple of close friends over a coffee or beer.  My favorite thing would have to be the food, while my least favorites might be the food prices, the lack of available seating (due mostly to their success) and the way that the noise carries.

I get the reviews that call this place a hipster hangout, even after just one visit.  I felt incredibly out of place without a MacBook, however the barista was friendly and suggested the Sinfull Joe, which I would have daily if I lived much closer.  Freaking delicious!  The other customers seemed friendly and not TOO hipster but the ambiance is just kind of lacking, especially in the side room/alcove that has chairs and tables that sound like nails on a chalk board anytime you try to move them.

This is one of my favorite hang outs... No fancy decor, no pretty lights, just Free wi-fi and great coffee.  I like hanging out here day or night.  Not to mention the food is great, the service is quick and everyone is friendly.

Sunday (Jan. 27th) was my first time here. The service was one of the best experiences I've had in Denver. I love the environment they have set for the cafe/pub. I had an iced americano shaken and it was delightful. I will be back to get a drink and food!

Great coffee and lovely atmosphere! Kind of out of the way, which is nice because it isn't extremely busy as some other coffee shops in Denver!

Love this place.  Definitely F and B professionals who love what they do work there.  Food and service great.  Portions on the smaller side and I hope they are making their own breakfast burritos now.

Love the dirty (spicy) chai, mate latte, and the variety of off-the-cuff Italian sodas that the always super-friendly staff is happy to make. I get plenty of work done here and also have a great time interacting with the other regulars. Great craft beer and spirits too! Food is always fresh and spot-on; perfect spot for a lunch meeting or low-key happy hour.

Sad that there was no space to sit and eat! Went in for a  late lunch and it seemed that everyone there just had a cup of coffee (if that)  and nothing else and it seemed it was more a place to use internet and use laptops lol. .I find it awesome if it where supposed to be a internet lounge but I went there to eat some of the amazing food that was on the menu, and had to walk out when 4 more people came in at the same time and I looked around and realized seating was gone. Hmmm, I will give it another shot sometime when they are a little less crowded (dont know when that would be), sucks that they had to miss out on a big sale do to "loungers"

Great coffee bar (Allegro), cheap but delicious grubbery, and awesome employees and owners.

Skip the corporate coffee and hang out here -- as the name implies -- morning or night. Oh, and leave your dirty dishes, too. They 1up the competition by busing their own tables so you don't have to.

    Props to you, Rooster.

This is probably the best place to find coffee in Denver.  What they do with the lattes, for instance, is remarkable.

The atmosphere though, is definitively urban hipster.  The perfect place to do some work, be a college student, whatever.

    I'm not a college student

I'm not a hipster. I'm not a yuppie. I have a 3 month old, and a 3 year old. I love a great coffee place, but going in here with the kids. . just didn't feel right.  So yeah, if I have a morning without the kids . . .good choice.

As far as lunch.  If your a Yup on a diet, its perfect. Food is great, portions are a little small.  If your a slightly (who am I kidding) overweight dad you might KNOW you should be satisfied with the portion, but you aren't.

I find this place a 9/10 for coffee, 9/10 for yuppies, 3/10 for families, 3/10 for big eaters.

I don't get the banana pudding comments though.  I didn't try it, but it looks like traditional american pudding. The yellow gooey stuff.  Not Irish puddings (more like a cake than anything else). . .

Maybe I should try it, but its look. . left nothing to be desired from this foodie.

This may be my new favorite spot.

The staff is what makes this place. Every time I go in there I end up chatting it up at the counter for a while (which I'm sure pisses off the people waiting behind me...) Don't be afraid to ask for reccomendations because you'll get them, and they'll be good. (Banana pudding? Yeah, I wouldn't have touched that one on my own and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna be getting it every time I see it in that little dessert case.)

The coffees and teas are great too.

The food is a little spendy but it's all good so it's hard to be negative about that.

Anyway, next time I need to get some stuff done on my laptop and don't feel like doing it at home, you can be sure I'll be here.

I've been coming here pretty regularly over the last two weeks. Already the regular staff knows me by name, which is very cool. They're friendly and accomodating.

Not being much of a coffee drinker I can't really say much about their drinks, but the food is very good. I especially enjoy the MexiCali, the Sriracha sliders and the BBQ quesadilla. The breakfast burritos are also tasty, although maybe a bit too pricy for their size.

All told this is an excellent place to study, or hang out and chat.

So I stopped by here with my boyfriends mom a couple of weeks ago and while I can say my food was absolutely delicious, I had something that looked like a Denver Omelet on a pizza crust, the ambiance is awful.  Now I understand this is a coffee shop so there are going to be some hipster kids on computers, but EVERY table was full!!!  We had actually ordered coffee and food and had nowhere to sit, which I find incredibly frustrating.  I'm in my 20's so I get sipping coffee while you work on your laptop, but you better at least have some coffee in front of you!!!

I'd love to get something to go from here, but I'm not really in this area ever, it's a little random!

Definitely a fave, from the helpful, jovial folks behind the counter, the art, the vibe, and the cleanliness to the food and drink.

I take most out-of-towners here as I feel like it's very Denver. I also like to suggest it for something a little different than a bar... like maybe for a third date, or to take a family member. They have tons of veg options, and their Facebook page stays super current, so you always know what's up with music and special events.

I'm in love with them having booze, because, let's face it, sometimes iced tea actually isn't what you want with lunch; sometimes, you want rum in it.

This place was recommended to a classmate and me by our teacher. It's a short walk from Denver Health and so it we went one day when we had some time to spare. This place was very comfy/cozy and a great place to meet up with people and get some work done. The coffee and pumpkin scone that I had were good, but nothing that I couldn't find somewhere else in my opinion. I think I would want to try something else on the menu next time. The best part about this place is definitely the atmosphere. Overall, this place might be a bit too far for me to come on a regular basis, but it was a nice little place close to Denver Health.

I attended a club function here. I was not especially impressed. Coffee service was slow and they are trying too hard to be suave and cool. They need to add normal food to the menu instead of the sheik, cool stuff I can't even pronounce.

Plenty of tables and outlets (esp along the counter near the door) for those who need an office for a day. Service is friendly and efficient, and the baristas make some terrific drinks. My second trip here, I had a smothered veggie breakfast burrito (yes, I know the smothered negates the veggie) and a florentine. A PERFECT power breakfast and caffeine boost. For those of you wondering, a florentine is a delicious drink that is about 5/6 coffee and 1/6 hot cocoa. I can see myself having this exact order every weekend.

Plenty of on-street parking (free 2 hour parking) in front.

ETA: Oh. no. Someone please tell me that my favorite coffee house didn't start limiting internet access? I went today and had to "agree" to a two-hour limit on the "Neighborhood" network. Booo.... I won't take any stars away yet, b/c I didn't have time to futz around to see if you could reconnect by "forgetting" the network and getting a new IP lease.

The building & location is a bit odd -- even as I was getting close, I was wondering if I was on the right track.  It's just far enough from both Broadway and Speer that it's not integrated with either, but certainly is easy to get to.

The atmosphere inside is great.  Lots of comfy seats that encourage hanging out and areas for any type of group and experience.

Their smoothies don't compete with more juice-focused places for quality of ingredients, but they do several creative concoctions.

The only thing keeping it from getting a fifth star is the coffee is good but not amazing.  Denver is having a boom in incredible coffee nerdery, so any place not part of it is getting left behind.

I really love this place, and it has become one of my regular hangouts to do my freelance work. They have free wifi, tons of places to sit with outlets to plug in and the food options are thoughtful and delicious. My favorite food to order is the sassy Hawaiian pizza, with their signature spicy tomato basil as a sauce, ham, pineapple, peppers and some garnish. It's addicting.

I don't drink coffee, but their chai tea latte is better than any other I've had in Denver. It doesn't have that overly sweet, boxed flavor to it, if that makes any sense.

I also love their music, which is indeed brooding and hipster-ish. But their friendly and helpful staff make up for the melancholy selection that everyone may not like :)

It's a great place, worth checking out. Good for a quick breakfast or lunch, an all-day telecommute or just a quick cup of coffee to warm up your day.

I don't use the word "chill" very often but the word seems apropos for this little spot. Good coffee and espresso, decent selection of beers, and the food coming out of the kitchen looked pretty decent and the empty plates seemed to confirm that. Add to all that the seemingly higher standard of appearance of the clientele up in here making for decent people watching and yeah.... chill place.

Went here to meet a friend. Had a Punkin Spice Latte . Comfy couches nice music playing. Outlets to plug in your Laptop or phone. Friendly baristas who know their stuff. And From the food i have seen coming out they make mean sandwiches.

And show sports on TV's. My Latte came out in a Glass cup since i had it for here. And Im impressed with how they pay attention to detail and the flavor. Way better than Starbucks by far.

I know I'm supposed to know this place, but I had no idea it was there until I found myself looking for a place to have brunch one Sunday and decided I needed to go somewhere I normally don't go. It was just as packed as your favorite coffee shop would be. Except, they have a bar too. And a very extensive food menu which solves my dilemma often when I just want to hang out at the coffee shop all day but have to leave because I can't find food to fill me up.

Best of all, they even managed to replace the bread on their sandwiches with gluten-free bread which should probably put this review in 4.5/5.0 territory.

So yes, Rooster & Moon is as good as advertised. Not an especially huge space, but a nice jack-of-all trades coffee shop that carves out its niche uniquely in a city with lots of coffee spots.

I can't say enough about Rooster & Moon! In terms of work meetings, I wish I could schedule them all for this place.  5 stars for location, 8 stars for the espresso, 9 stars for the staff, and 4 stars for parking (it's usually easy to find.)  There are a variety of table sizes to meet the needs of most groups.  The atmosphere is also chill for working on your own, reading or relaxing.  (They even have decent sized TV so you can keep up with sporting events if you're there at night/weekends.)

I love everything about this place.  The tomato bisque soup is incredible, so are most of the salads.  I've been going there for over a year now, and can honestly say I've never been disappointed.

    1. great menu: from breakfast flats, soups, salads and sandwiches
    2. easy location for people to meet you- right off Speer
    3. super friendly staff
    4. great coffee
    5. great seating options.

Lastly, a few days ago I left my cell phone at a table.  A staff member actually called a friend of mine to let them know they had my phone.  I came in to pick it up later that day, and they gave me an iced coffee for free.

Nice chill atmosphere. This place is the place for everything! the food , drink, and desserts are amazing! I have had the Greek Town and the tomato soup and both are to die for. they have an assortment of beers, mixed drinks, and coffee. I love this place because you can find everything under one roof.

A lot of people go here to sit and work on their laptop. I like to go to eat and drink me a good beer. I also love to people watch as they sit up at the bar and drink, start chatting more and more to the people behind the bar.

Service is awsome and friendly. Not expensive at all and many options of food. Order at the counter and take a seat, relax, and smile.

Also there is a tv at the bar for any special events that you may want to see.

    FOOD: 4.5 stars
Cup of soup (tomato basil) and the savory-sweet  yumminess of a half sandwich (ham, brie, spinach, chutney, I believe)   I've left Denver, and I'm craving both again, dammit.

    DRINK: 4 stars
House cab was highly serviceable.  Not excellent, but very good for the price point.

    SERVICE: 5 stars
Server nailed it.  Attentive, prompt, polite, managed excellent service pretty much by himself with at least 12-15 customers spread out throughout the place -- and even a few on the patio.  No easy feat.

    AMBIENCE: 4.5 stars
This place feels more like a coffeehouse than a restaurant, but they have restaurant-worthy food, plus beer and wine.  What's not to love about abundant power outlets, caffeine, wine, food and free WiFi?  But what's most awesome - clearly this is a neighborhood kind of joint.  But as a visitor/stranger, I feel like I was treated exactly as if I were a regular.  That's a GREAT neighborhood joint.

    VERDICT:
4.5 stars, rounding up.  GO already!

I stopped in the Rooster & Moon Coffee Pub after a little research on Yelp.  And the reviews are right!  This coffee shop offers up a little bit of everything, food, cocktails and beer along with some delicious coffee drinks.  I love the combination and think this would be a great spot day or night.  The Guvna sandwich and Cinnful Joe recommended did not disappoint.  The staff all seemed so friendly and to top it off I scored free DELICIOUS banana pudding cause I said it was my first time in.  Now that is great service!
Love the crowd and all of the power outlets.  Definitely will be my stop to work, eat or socialize from now on.

Cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, lots of offering from cup of Joe's to frosty glass of draft.  What more can I ask for?

Paired with variety of offerings, this is the place to relax and get recharged to finish the rest of the day at work or to rewind after work.

plenty of free parking at the front, just need to watch out for the 2 hour limit.

This place is exactly what you want for the kind of place it is.

The food is fresh and outstanding.  They offer beer and wine.  They have delicious, strong coffee.  They have free wifi and plenty of outlets.

If you want to play a board game they have old school games like Mouse Trap.  It is counter order so you can get plenty of stuff done without having to worry about tying up a table of a waiter/waitress.

I had the smoked salmon salad and LOVED IT.  Will for sure be back in the future when visiting CO.

Love this spot. In fact, I'm sitting at their bar right now. And guess what? I"m not worried about my battery dying, cause they have outlets for my laptop plug right underneath the bar!!

This is a great place to get some serious work done. In my experience, many coffee shops in Denver have great coffee, but not necessarily good food. This place has it all. Oh yea, they have booze, too.

Everything I've ever had here has been awesome. I love their tomato basil bisque, their caprese sandwich, smoothies, and such. My boyfriend just ordered a blended mocha and I snuck a taste. It was phenomenal. I opted for a fruit smoothie because let's face it, it's 8pm and I'd be awake until 4am if I drank a mocha at this hour.

I was happy to see that they had kale chips on the menu. I am a HUGE fan of all things kale. However, I'm not as big of a fan of their kale chips as I am my own. Theirs aren't as crispy. I will say that their dipping sauce for the kale chips is better than any concoction I've made at home. So, they still pass my test.

Definitely will be here again. Especially when I need to get some serious book or laptop time in.

I walk in. Poke my nose around the merch. A girl behind the counter asks if she can get something started for me.

    "What's the XXXXXX?" I ask.
"It's a Mocha, but made with Ovaltine!" she responds.
"That sounds ... DISGUSTING," I respond.

I think I took her by surprise. Usually, she said, people say it sounds delicious. But, you know, gross. So I ordered and Iced Mocha with Almond Milk, and it was dark, creamy, mochaliciousness. Success!

I love the ambiance of this coffee box, and there are plenty of seating options available and places to plug in your many e-vices. The nosh is bountiful, the hipsters are plenty, and the light from the outside helps you remember that you don't live in a virtual world where coffee is pumped through finely crafted speakers.

Oh, Rooster & Moon... is it strange that I make meetings up just to have an excuse to visit you? I love the staff here, they're so friendly and personable. The full bar helps too =) Definitely love the kale chips, and the "hawaiian" pizza with jalapeños might be my new favorite kind of pizza.
Friends, if I ask you if we can meet up at Rooster & Moon, even though you live in Aurora, now you know why! It's that good.

I rarely write reviews, but I need to make an exception. I'm a traveling musician and I've visited over 40 states, 75 cities and countless coffee shops. This has just beat out Alterra in Milwaukee as my favorite coffee shop!

I looked for a breakfast spot on Yelp and found this so came to check it out. I needed to find a spot to work all day on my laptop as well and when I got here noticed there are ample outlets and TWO wifi networks. This is key. I don't understand why busy coffee shops that promote their "free wifi" only have one network and expect it to be usable when they have over 15 laptops running on it.

I got the Veggie flatbread breakfast sandwich. I'm not a vegetarian but the avocado sealed the deal for me. The presentation was outstanding (photo posted)! And the flatbread was very tasty. Came with onions, peppers, eggs and cheese. Overall very excellent.

I'm a coffee fiend - go through 5-10 cups a day. Especially when I'm working. I got a coffee and even before my food came someone came around and TOPPED ME OFF! what?! First full out coffee shop I know of that offers free refills (other than Panera - but let's not even go there). The coffee is bold, flavorful, robust and highly caffeinated. Just how I like it. Diner coffee (also free refills) is usually watered down Folgers or something awful. I'm going to have to find out what this coffee is.

As I sit in a comfy corner love seat I have been refilled 4 times since I got here!

The staff is GREAT and it's the other patrons are all chill.

This is now my Denver coffee spot!
