While the service was excellent, the food was on par with what you'd get at a child's birthday party if they were lucky enough to have it at Chucky Cheese. Â We had the Hawaiian pizza (gave me heartburn, but I've had worse), the garlic cheesy bread (think-microwavable) but they did have great lemonade. I would have loved to try their calzone because I don't think you can judge an eatery on 1 or 2 dishes but since their main bag is pizza, I can judge a little bit.
Review Source:Dinner family style after a movie and on a busier night.
It's a large chain Italian restaurant, and all that comes with it....with that being said there are still a few great uses for a restaurant like this. For example, when your treating the family out for dinner after Les Miserables, amazing BTW, and know that your brother will inevitably, whenever you take him to dinner order the most expensive thing on the menu. No worries, why? Maggiano's in true Italian tradition will serve you heaping amounts of carbs family style, and when your with the family, that's a good thing.
The whole experience, as to be expected, average, the server was ok, not great, just mediocre. Once I realized he was not the type to notice the details and since I have no problem pointing out the details, water, another bottle of wine, how about some bread...oh well....at least we ended up on the same page. I tell him what we need and he brings it out right away, not my preferred style but ehh, could have been worse. Â
The food was good and the variety of dishes to purchase for the family style option left everyone pleased with the meal. Overall, a great location to take a large group.
