I had another good experience with this place. It's cheap pizza with free delivery. It was delivered within the time frame they promised. The only annoying thing was that I gave them instructions on how to get into my building, and instead the delivery guy called from downstairs asking if I wanted him to come up. And then I had to give him the punchpad code again. Of course you need to come up. It's delivery!
Review Source:I took the risk despite bad reviews. I don't regret it.
it looks like the management really cares now to deliver good service and pizza.
Pizza was delivered within record 30 minutes, and it was well done, as requested.
Delivery guy was amazingly kind, and friendly, and professional.
I received a follow up call from the manager I assume, Thomas, to inquire about whether I was satisfied with the order. He was extremely caring and wanted to know my honest opinion.
Pizza was good. Not the best I had, honestly, but a good lunch option. There is a better pizza option in the vicinity, BUT I find that if I want an ingredient like prosciutto etc. feta cheese, or more like European style pizza or simply a bigger choice of ingredients - I'd had to go with Sarpino's. Call them, they always have specials.
FREE delivery. You can't beat that.
I'd say, give 'em a chance to prove their service and pizza. It looks like they really care.
I've only ever written one review before.
TL;DR: Took 2 1/2 hours to get cold, soggy pizza, manager is an asshole, driver drops pizza on ground, we get food poisoning.
Ordered pizza at 6:45 (via GrubHub). Got a GH confirmation email and text (this means GrubHub did their job. It's now the restaurant's responsibility).
I'll keep this brief. 7:45, no pizza. Call at 8:00. Guy on the phone is super wonderful and nice. He's the only good thing about this whole experience. Goes to get his manager. Manager is a dick. Tells me pizza went out and I should just wait.
9:00 NO. PIZZA. Call again. Nice guy picks up and personally calls the driver. Driver says he's pulling up now.
9:15 Driver shows up and, getting out of the car, DROPS THE PIZZA ON THE GROUND. Pizza is fine(ish), my gf and I are starving. We eat it.
We begin vomiting around ten o'clock the next morning.
Anyway, overall, not a great experience.
If you read other reviews, you'll see that the lateness is a chronic problem. So is the burnt, overcooked, gross cardboard of a pizza. This place fails.
So many of those freaking fliers every day in my condo building. We finally ordered. The pizza was not very good and it's hard to screw up pizza. They screwed up the order. I called to complain and the guy was a jerk. If you see my reviews I almost never leave bad ones. This places blows.
Review Source:I rode my bike through a torrential downpour and was soaked from head to toe by the time I got home. To reward myself for being alive (and not being hit by cars) I ordered Sarpino's through grub-hub. I really should have read the ratings on yelp beforehand.. but what can you do? It's a pizzeria. Pizzeria's are SUPPOSED to whip up your pizza and deliver it within a respectable amount of time. Which was clearly NOT the case here. I put my order through by 8pm on grubhub. I get the confirmation email by 8:12pm. I give it an hour at max. 9:15pm rolls around -- no food. I call sarpino's who looked up my address and told me they didn't receive my order. So I call grubhub and mid-call, sarpino's calls me back telling me that because it was a rainy sunday night, my order got mixed in with the lot of things so he'll get in my order ASAP and give me my meal for free. I was bittersweet, and cranky, but the person I talked to on the phone was sweet and accommodating. 10:15pm rolls around and STILL no delivery. Finally, by 10:30pm the delivery guy runs to my door and pleasantly gives me my food. I should've just CHECKED to see if all my food was there but I was so hungry, I tipped him and he left. I ordered three things and I got three boxes. You couldn't really go wrong there.. but it did. Mozzarella sticks were cold (to be expected, I guess), marinara dipping sauce was too sweet, Â the pizza was actually good (maybe it's because I've only been drinking juice lately), and the last box I opened turned out to be cheese breadsticks/marinara dipping sauce combo... which, was not the small green salad I ordered. It shouldn't be a big deal, I know. But the fact that I waited 2 1/2 hours for things that I probably could have cooked within 30 minutes (a personal vegetarian pizza, 1 order of mozz sticks, 1 small green salad) was maddening in itself. My order was NOT correct. I'm not even sure if the cheesy bread sticks were suppose to be complimentary or if they really did mess up my order. WHAT'S A GIRL GOTTA DO TO GET HER SALAD TO FEEL BETTER BOUT HER PIZZA BINGE? 2 star off for ridiculous wait time, 1 star off for food itself, 1/2 star off for messed up order. 1/2 back for nice person on the phone and basically, really delayed free food. I probably will not be ordering from them again.
Review Source:I used to love Sarpinos and I ordered from them on a fairly regular basis but the last few times I've ordered from them their food hasn't been very good.
Maybe they changed management or perhaps they've just gotten lazy but the pizza just isn't good anymore. It's been so greasy that the bottom of the pie is very soggy. Gross. I can't tell you what a disappointment this place has become... *sigh*
If they spent more time perfecting their pies and less time littering  their fliers all over town then they might get much better reviews.
Hey Sarpino's, want a great marketing idea?
Stop putting your lousy, unsolicited fliers on everyone's fence every week. Stop it. Now. I don't even think what you're doing is legal. I see from other message boards this is a nation-wide policy - even Texas and Georgia get the same treatment!
Also, your "pizza" is awful.
If ONLYYYYYYYYY, I could give this so called "BUSINESS" 0 STARS!!! Where do I even begin?! If you came accross this review while in search of a pizzeria pls continue your search you will not find good food, or good service at this facility. WHile I was waiting for my pizza I heard the girl working at the fron counter speaking to one of the employees in the back and I could not beleive what I was hearing!! I don't understand how the person you have chosen to be the "face" of your company is literally disrespecting a peer/ coworker and out in the open for customers like myself with my chidren to see! And then I wait all that time for this chick to finish her drama with her coworker to be given my order. BAD BUSINESS... I blame the franchise owner..If the owner by chance does read this I think he should take a look at just how many bad reviews the girl at the front desk has gotten because from what I have read, SHE SUCKS AT HER JOB BIG TIME! I took my pizza because my kids were starving but I will never go back to that place. Not after the way I witnessed her treat that worker... Save your money....If they treat their own employees that crappy just IMAGINE what they do to your pizzas when you piss them off!! 0 (ZERO) stars--I just clicked on one to submit this review.

This feedback is for the Sarpinos at 1923 South Archer Avenue, Chicago
Today I ordered a Pizza at 4:30 PM and was promised a delivery time of 45 mins. Ater 1 hour, I called back to check the status and was told the pizza would arrive in 5 mins. I got a call from the delivery guy after 10 mins who said he is 2 mins away and asked me to come down to pick the pizza up. I requested that I get the door delivery as any other  time. After this, there was no news of the pizza for another 10 mins. After waiting for 1 hour and 25 mins I received a cold pizza.
The delivery guy was rude and the Pizza was burnt on the top. Looks like the pizza was cooked for more time than necessary. I have pictures of the pizza as it was delivered to me.
I am very dissatisfied with the service I got from Sarpinos. I have been a regular for over 1.5 years and I doubt if my loyalty was ever worth it.

Update: Re- rated at 3
I called this branch to formally give feedback and the Store manager Thomas was very receptive. He understood the situation and handled the matter well. I would order from this store again. Thanks Thomas!
I get it! there are only a few things you can order from a pizza place and expect it to be good... #1, the pizza... But they should have pride in what is on the menu, even if it's a salad.
My problem with Sarpinos? Well, it's misrepresentation :)
I ordered a Spinach Salad which was described as: "Spinach, crispy smoked bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, Sarpino's gourmet cheese blend" ... sounds good huh? Not so much.... Soggy bacon, processed cheese and rubbery chicken does not make a good salad... I did however have fun fishing out the edible spinach, green peppers and tomatoes.. (It did make my lunch break move a little faster).
Sorry Sarpino's, never again...
Just had Sarpino's for dinner tonight. We always see their menus and flyers all over the place and decided to finally give them a try. Plus the three of us wanted different things and they offered what we wanted: pizza, pasta, and chicken tenders.
I created my own personal pizza with onions, garlic, mushrooms, and spicy sausage. I absolutely love fresh garlic on pizza and I like that it is an option here. It comes with a free dip and I picked creamy garlic. I liked the pizza, but the dip was too sweet. The crust was a little thicker than I like (thin-crust for me, cracker thin if possible) but all in all it was a good pizza.
My sister had the Greek pizza. She liked it but said it had too much stuff on it. Is that a bad thing? I dunno. But to her I guess she thought it had too much cheese on there. In addition to feta they also put on their own cheese blend. Her bf had the chicken tenders. They looked like your basic tenders although he said they were a little soggy. Not a good idea to order chicken tenders for delivery.
Delivery was slated for 7:45 and it was on time, if not a little earlier. The free delivery is a plus.
First time I've updated twice...so, I live in the building and we were having our daughter's birthday party at Skinner Park in the West Loop. I figured, I am about to drop $75 may as well keep the business local. I speak to the nice woman and she says order online, save 15% and you can pick the delivery time. We can give you plates, napkins, etc.. SWEET!!
So, I place the order for 4 extra large and chicken tenders. In the note section, I remind them of the napkins and plates, and request ketchup for the chicken tenders..11:45 deliver time. Done and Done RIght?
WRONG...11:55 rolls around no food, I call, she says rest assured he is on the way...12:10 rolls around, I Call again and say she has to call the driver.. two minutes she says and I will give you 30% off next time you call. OK cool, I appreciate that. Driver gets there, first thing out of his mouth, it wasn't my fault, no worries dude, probably the cook. Â I get the food, then I ask if he has the plates, napkins..nope, nobody said anything. Then I see the ketchup isn't there either. I call and politely tell the woman their customer service sucks ASS.
Tried it for the first time last night. We ordered
Half BBQ/Buffalo Wings - They didn't even separate them in the tray. Wings were ok, but not worth the price. Won't be ordering them again.
House Special and Half Steak/Chicken with Bacon Pizzas. The crust looked a bit thick to me, but surprisingly it was not too bad. Didn't taste like regular pizza crust as it didn't have any crisp to it, but wasn't very doughy. More like a breadstick style to it. Pizzas were good, but we felt some of the ingredients were chopped too small.
Not the best pizza, but would order again from them. People there were friendly and they open late. Also, free delivery....but not sure about how far they go.
wish i can give no stars, if you need a job and are not polish do not apply here they practice racist ways of employment, i have applied twice in my mind trying to dedicate great employment to these criminals and they never considered hiring me, they hired two polish people that both quit on them, you want to talk about some racist mofo's??? plz dont give them business i hope they all rot and go broke and homeless and in jail!!!!
Review Source:There was a stack of menus for this place in my lobby and I finally grabbed one the other day. I was surprised to find not just pizza, but a ton of really creative "specialty" and "gourmet" pizza selections...along with salads, sandwiches, pastas, etc.
So, out of laziness/lack of enthusiasm to get off the couch, we decided to give them a shot. The online ordering system is *awesome*...you can even customize the specialty pizzas. Also, there is a 15% discount for ordering online (note, there is a pulldown menu upon checkout to get the discount...the other option is 10%, lol, not sure why they would have it like that).
I don't ever recall ordering food online to be delivered, so I wasn't sure what to expect. We ordered the "Thin Nachos Cheese Lovers" pizza (that sounds pretty gross in retrospect...I swear, we weren't high) and a calzone with pepperoni, mushrooms and black olives.
Ok, the food arrived in like 30 minutes. It was perfect...exactly as we ordered, hot and delicious! There is no minimum order, and no delivery charge! What's not to love?
So, sorry it took me so long to pick up your menu, Sarpino's, but you will be hearing from me again!
The only reason for a second star is that I actually LIKE THE PIZZA, but SERVICE in the South Loop location really NEEDS A CHANCE.
Short story.
Used to love Sarpinos outer Loop location. Ordered for pickup in the South Loop once. Ordered online. Chose delivery - entered DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS. Waited 1.5 hours. Called was asked to wait 15 min. Called again 20 min later was asked to wait 15 min. Asked to cancel order. Was asked to wait for manager. On hold for 5 minutes between conversations. Finally manager gets back on the phone and has the balls to lie to me and tell me I ordered for pickup when in my order I typed in DELIVERY INSTRUCTIONS and btw I live 3 blocks away. Then manager asks if I still want the pizza.. 2 hours after I ordered.. Â at 10pm.. on Sunday...
Owned needs to get his $hit together and I will order again.
I'm actually pretty surprised at all of the negative reviews. I think this place has very good pizza, very good deals and very quick delivery time. I have to admit that I'm not extremely picky about pizza, but I can tell the difference between good and bad pies. I've ordered from Sarpinos at least 6 times and have never had a bad pie. I don't eat red meat or pork, so I appreciate a place that has a nice amount of non-meat toppings. I do remember having ordered turkey on the pizza, but I don't think they serve it any longer. (They should bring it back)
I never wait more than 45 minutes (I live just north of HP) and they currently offer 15% off of your order if you order online.
If you haven't tried it, I do believe it's worth giving it at least one shot...
Now I am a fan of Sarpino's chessy bread because it reminds me of Gumbys Pockey sticks down at UofI
I am also a fan of Grubhub and rely on it to give me easy ordering online from where ever I maybe.
So I searched "pizza" because as much as I miss Hyde Park locations, I need my cheesy bread. Â This location popped up and I ordered. Â
It's been almost 2 hours and not even a call to say if (a) they dont deliver to Hyde Park or (b)something happened on the way with the driver
Generally I trust Grubhub for food orders and so far no problems! Â I think this location needs to have its delivery area adjusted so it doesn't come up in the search for pizza places that deliver.
I am sticking to my regular location when I am home in Lincoln Park, because this one=weak sauce!
Good thing I clicked "pay in cash" xD
...maybe I will update later when/if they show up/call.
2 HOURS LATER....The guy shows up and doesn't even have change! Â This place needs to be closed!! EPIC FAIL SARPINO'S fix your southside locations STAT!
OH WAIT! Â Here's the kicker! Â It's cold!
I've always gotten my order very quickly and for cheap fast pizza, it sure beats Dominos. The delivery guys are pretty friendly too.
I really dislike deep dish so this is one of the few options near Hyde Park that delivers normal pizza. My last 2 orders were topped well and cooked well so I have no complaints.
For the second time since Sarpinos opened, they wouldn't let me order on the phone. Â Back in October I called and they told me to order online and save 15%. Â It was only when I said I'd order elsewhere that they took my phone order. Â Then on New Year's Eve, I called to order as I was driving home and they told me they were ONLY taking delivery orders.
Really? Â As a resident of the building that this pizza place is in, they wouldn't let me come pick up a pizza? Â Seriously?! Â So I took my business to Dominos. Â Who gladly let me place an order for carryout. Â It was ready in six minutes and was a third of the price.
But let's be honest...I'll still continue to go there because the pizza IS good and it's convenient, but I wish they would get their act together in terms of their hit or miss customer service.
The pizza at this place is delicious. The sauce is uniquely seasoned and the crust is cooked evenly and to perfection. A friend from out of town said it's the best pizza she's ever had! I've ordered from them on 3 separate occasions and it's consistently good. I've not ordered online nor over the phone and I have not tried anything else on the menu (it is quite extensive). Each time I just walked in. The customer service is great too.
