  Try out this place. Its the best ever tenderloin you can ever get. The place has stayed open and the same quality even after the death of owner Shorty. Open since 1946

  Down home bliss. All the employees were SO friendly, and the food was great. I eat a fried tenderloin about once per year, and I feel privileged that this year it was at Shorty's Lunch.
  
  For a mere $6.50 I received:
  -A very soft, fresh bun to cradle 2 hand-breaded pork chop tenderloins.
  -Green beans that were seasoned and delicious.
  -Buttery mashed potatoes with a rich gravy that had chunks of pot roast in it...POT ROAST.
  -A drink...whatever I wanted...milk, soda, coffee, tea, water.
  
  This spot is only open for breakfast and lunch. Honestly, it's worth a 5 minute trip from the interstate to eat here. I might even bring a friend down from Indy sometime, under the guise of "let's go to the outlet malls in Edinburgh". It'll really be all about the tasty goodness of Shorty's. Essentially, a little pale blue house with a hand-painted sign next to a Cummins plant. It has cafeteria-style serving inside. Although it shows its age, the tables and floor were very clean. You can be in and out in 20 minutes, depending upon how fast you chew. I think it was cash only, but I'm not positive. I always pay with cash at mom and pop places so they don't lose any of the profit from my meal to a credit card company.
  
  Most of the tables seat 4 people but some seat 6. Seems it would be a good place to come with kids for lunch because there will be no wait for the food and they can actually see their choices.

  You must like greasy food to eat here ...there is nothing healthy about Shorty's. I personally am not a huge fan of greasy food but I could appreciate the tastiness of the meal I ate there (especially the mac and cheese ...mmm).  Shorty's is super cheap, has a limited menu, but you're sure to find something you'll like.  It's a small joint and looks like a total dive but if you want a quick bite, stop on by.  It's a town favorite.

  This restaurant is a Columbus must.  It has the best pork tenderloin around and is something of a greasy spoon.  It is only open for breakfast and lunch and closes at 1:00.  Although Shorty died last year, his restaurant is still going strong and still is crowded at lunch.  There are a few choices for sides, but my favorite is the potato wedges.

  Dirty greasy and bad for you. Shorty's is a legendary favorite in this town and won't be around too much longer. I love the place and the daily limited menu. Also, Shorty himself is there everyday and would be happy to talk to you while you wait.
