First off - this place isn't open at 11am. Â At least, it wasn't when I swung by at noon to try a few beers. Â
That being said, this place has some hit or miss beers - some are great, most are okay, and a couple are just not very good. Â Everyone else in my group hated the strawberry beer, but I was okay with it - not terrible, not amazing. Â The "whale" beer knocked my friend's socks off - it was just okay to me. Â But their... Â amber...? beer? (sorry, it was the 4th brewery that day!) was great. Â
Also, we bought way too many pretzels. Â Order them once, and you will too. Â With the honey mustard sauce. Â Our table went through, like, 4 baskets of them.
For a little brewpub in a somewhat seedy part of STL this place was really good. So good, that I was really impressed. Impressed with the food, but not so much for their beers.
Pesto chicken flatbread -- really excellent. More like a pizza than a flatbread, but whatever.
Caeser Salad was very good as well.
can't remember what my friend had, as I was somewhat buzzed and exhausted after just riding on two airplanes, Â but if Jerry said it was excellent, that is good enough for me.
Four stars.
