The Spot

Visiting La Jolla and had a few beers/shots at The Spot. It's a nice chill sporty place. The service was good and it wasn't super crowded on a Monday night during the NHL Stanley Cup final game.

Food was good. Sports bar meets Irish pub feel. Would explore other places before going back. Had the Bison burger which I knew was going to be tricky to cook and not make dry but it had a lot of flavor! Steak was cooked perfectly but needed some salt. Definitely try the chocolate cake. Moist, soft cake literally drenched in rich chocolate!

Good place for a laid back hang ! Albeit a crowded place .

Funny, Friendly Bartenders ..pretty strong mixed drinks !
They do serve food ( though i haven't tried it )

If i ever became disenchanted with chilling out on my patio listening to the waves while enjoying a libation ..............i'd come here!!!

Nice vibe, fun people, strong drinks, super casual .
