Public House

My review is pretty much entirely based on the poor service. I went for the 2 for 1 deal which ends at 8 PM. We arrived at 7:30 and saw a table free up at 7:45. We were in fact seated at that table eventually... at exactly 8:03, at which point we were told it was "too late" for the deal. These stall tactics were extremely uncool. I would not recommend going here for the deal for this reason.

I am a little bit sad to be posting such a negative review because it was in fact a pretty delicious burger.

We generally love Public House, but tonight we were very disappointed in the service.

We arrived at Public House (with several other groups on the waitlist) around 7:30PM. Tuesdays are their 2 for 1 hamburger deals, so we hoped to take advantage of this special. The table that we were eventually sat at was open at 7:40... so we were standing, watching this table be empty for 20 minutes. There were NUMEROUS other tables open at this point. When we were finally seated, it was exactly 8:02PM. Once seated, the waitress informed us that we would not be able to partake in the hamburger special because it was "programmed in the computer" and it would not apply the discount after 8PM. Really Public House?? What kind of stalling tactics is this??? If you don't want to give discounts to potential customers, don't offer them in the first place. Also of note-- at about 8:05PM (5 minutes after the computer wouldn't accept the discount), there was NO LINE for Public House. Hmmmm so before 8PM there's ~5-6 groups waiting for tables (tables were open), and suddenly AFTER 8PM there's no line....this is really crummy business.

As much as I love the beer menu (I'd frequent this place at least 2-3 a month), it's time to take a break for a while. I don't know what's going on with management, but stalling tactics are something you'd expect from a Hollywood club, not a chill bar that serves microbrews. Tonight is the first time in a LONG TIME that I have given $0 tip..... I'm completely disappointed :(

I was a little disappointed with the burger I ordered. It wasn't bad or anything, but it was anything special either. I got "Bootlegger". Bacon, onion crisps, and BBQ sauce. Way too many onions and only a dash BBQ sauce.

The crab cakes were good. A very nice sauce and weren't fishy tasting at all.

The beer was amazing and will probably  go back to try different beers, I just don't plan on eating there again.
