We went to Mead Street on a quest for a new place to eat.  After asking for a recommendation from the waitress on her favorite thing to order she brought out the pulled pork sandwich.  ABSOLUTELY HEAVENLY!!!  I was actually sad when I ate the last bite.  I will go back again and again for the great food and outstanding customer service!  Thank you!

This is such a shame. I have been going to Mead Street for over 10 years. Solid place before it changed hands a few years ago. You could count on consistency and a lovely staff that always greeted you when you walked in, sometimes, even knowing your name. Now... the food isn't good, the staff is not friendly, and I have tried several times, because I so desperately wanted to LIKE it after it changed hands. To no avail. The bartenders stand around a lot, you have to walk up to pay sometimes because the waitstaff is not paying attention. Such a bummer. We use to spend a lot of time at Mead Street. I won't go back.  I am a sad that Highland has changed so much....

I hadn't been back to Mead St. in years but yesterday I walked over with my dog to meet some former co-workers and am so glad I did! What a pleasant way to spend the afternoon! Good food, attentive service and a really nice assortment of drinks. Plus, they were SO great to my dog. I've decided that I'm going to try and only do business with dog-friendly establishments. People who care about animals tend to also care about others in general. This was the case yesterday. We had a nice, shady spot they supplied plenty of cold water for the dog and everyone was happy. I had the portobella sandwich which was excellent and the side of orzo pasta salad was super fresh and delicious, too. I also had an Ace Pear Cider, which is not easy to find. They served it in a frosty pint which eliminated the need for me to order a cup of ice (that often happenes). My friends had fish and chips and a burger, respectively. Our server was very cool and everyone who passed by stopped to pet my dog. The server did tell us that Denver laws have been tightened yet again so that they have to tell customers to keep the dog behind the railing. It's just ridiculous. If dogs were really so unsanitary then all dog owners in America would be dead since we all cook and eat with our dogs. Human beings are actually the most bacteria-laden creatures, especially babies, yet we allow them in every restaurant in America. Anyway, we'll be back to Mead St. on this trip and in the future. Kudos from two-legged and four-legged fans.

My friend and I were looking for a place in the HIghlands where we could sit outside, and we wanted a place with reasonable food and prices.  We ended up at Mead Street Station and was I pleasantly surprised!  The food was delicious!  I had the Reuben and it was really well-made and had plenty of corned beef.  The sweet potato fries were awesome as well.  My friend had a plate I wish I had ordered even though mine was great:  she had the Madeira Chicken platter with mashed potatoes and asparagus.  She said "you have to try this" and it was to die for!  She practically ate the plate!  I would highly recommend this little place.  Oh, and by the way, the prices are terrific for what you get.  (Really friendly wait staff too!)

I enjoyed the laid back atmosphere, beer was cold and carbonated (a problem in too many Denver area pubs), staff was friendly and attentive, but the food is the problem, at least for what several of us ordered and came there for.  Fish and chips were a big disappointment.  They tasted like huge fish sticks you get out of the frozen food area in the grocery store.  They were not crispy, had no resemblance to fish and chips I ever ate, were soft and had no crust.  Get the macaroni and cheese as that was fine.  There are other choices in the area for pubs so if you want better food avoid this place until it improves.

Very good American food. Service is good and the atmosphere is enjoyable.  I would bring family here when they're in town or go here with a bunch of folks from work if I wanted something that a lot of different people would enjoy.

Their fish and chips is outstanding. It's my go-to bar food and they've got one of the best around.

Great food, great beers, great part of town. Love, love, love Tuesday night trivia. It's a must. Fun local place with a good vibe and friendly staff. You won't be disappointed. Also a great place to bring out of towners.

We had a great time! They accommodated a group of 7 on a busy St.Patty's weekend with no issue. Great food and attentive service.
Family friendly experience (Saturday @ lunch) in a cozy place.

It has made our 'approved' list, I encourage you to add it to your 'must-try' list soon :)

Lived here my whole life and Meade St. Station was always a highlands best. Haven't been back in...maybe...a year. Oh man, I was so disappointed. The fish and chips were so dry, over fried and greasy! It wasn't terrible, but nothing in comparison to what it was. So sad the quality has gone down in this joint. Oh we'll, at least there's dozens of other restaurants near by.

I've been going to Mead St. for about 10 years now... and can honestly say that I've really liked it better since the new owners took over.  The place is cleaner, they have better art work on the walls, the music is fun and diverse, the staff is really nice and on their game... and the FOOD IS WAY,  WAY BETTER!

    I've had a ton of fun there watching NFL football on all of the huge new flat screens and seriously think they have THE HIGHEST RESOLUTION PROJECTOR SCREEN in TOWN.  I've had several AWESOME Sunday's there.... and love their Dill Pickle Shots, sometimes... too much :^{

I've lived in the Highland neighborhood off and on for over 10 years and am SUPER STOKED to have such a quality, friendly, fun spot to enjoy!  I take all of my friends and people who come into town there because it's just such a down to earth place to hang out and have some fun, eat some good grub and get my drink on!

Did i mention that they UNDISPUTEDEDLY have THE VERY BEST RIB DINNER & BREAD PUDDING in town!

I try really hard to like this place because it is right down the street from me.
I just can't. I think the bartenders are rude. The servers are pretty nice but service seems hit or miss. The food is NOT good. I've tried many things and it's all cheap bar food. Sometimes they have live music and the place is way to small for the music. The music is SO loud you can't hear the person sitting right next to you.

The crowd is an older/weird crowd. Not something you'd expect in the young highlands. It's always a disappointment.

I let the managers know of a rude bartender months back and she told me she was sending me a gift card. Still waiting for that gift card. But it's okay... I really have no desire to go back anyways.

Mead St used to be a favorite neighborhood hang out when we lived and worked in NW Denver. My hubbie and I went back for our favorite fish and chips and we were sorely disappointed. So sad, I used to love this place.

I really, really, really miss the old Mead Street.  We've lived in the 'hood for over 7 years and Mead Street has always been our "home away from home" for casual, comfortable, reasonably priced GREAT food.

My standbys for years were the pulled pork sandwich, ANY of the salads (which used to have the yummiest homemade dressings), the quesadilla with chimichurri, the sweet potato fries, the burgers, the ahi tuna wrap (with homemade green goddess dressing...mmmmmm) and poutine.  My kids have eaten and adored the mac and cheese practically since birth.  The only thing that remains the same is the decor.  I understand that a new owner/chef might want to infuse the menu with some of his/her own ideas, but why fix what is decidedly NOT broken?

This is a major loss for the Highlands Square area.  :(

I came here with my mom and one of her friends for lunch one day. It is really a pub like atmosphere and the menu reflects that. I was craving something hot and cheesy so I opted for the mac and cheese with kilbasa sausage. I added a bit of siracha sauce to my mac and cheese because I lot it spicy and it was damn good! I really enjoyed my dish and my mom and her friend like what they had as well. The service was pretty good as I remember it although we had a little issue with drinks in the beginning of the meal. All and all this place has it going on and if I find myself in the highlands again I just might stop in to try something else.

I like Meade Street. I was a regular here for a while, and for good reason. They have awesome burgers, and the wedge potato fries are delicious! They also have a good beer selection and super friendly staff. In addition, live music and performers almost everynight, so there's always something fun going on and their patio is nice and warm, even in cold months! Great neighborhood joint.

My friend's brother was performing here so we went to check it out. It's a bit of a local's joint. Nothing fancy. Kind of a speak-easy. They had pretty decent wedge fries and made a decent cosmo.

The service was so so. Not my kind of place. It's a spot you bring your crowd and not that you meet people at.

I normally have a decent experience at Mead Street Station, but on Friday night, it was definitely off.  First, we made a reservation for 6:30.  When we got inside, they had it down for 7:45.  No big deal.  Except...then we placed our orders and I received my food at least 15 minutes before the next person at my table got their food.  Then the last person to receive food was another 5 minutes past that.
That's just not a fun way to eat.  It was a bummer.  The food was good, but obviously mine was cold because who wants to be the only person eating at the table?

What once was great, now is meh. I went to Mead St. last night expecting the same great neighborhood experience I have had in years past. Instead we waited WAY too long for everything from an initial greeting to beverages to food. When the food arrived, it was bland and boring.

Soooo.. I hate to have to write a bad review. Came in on a Friday night with two girlfriends. We sat down and a waitress took our drink order promptly. Then another waitress came over and asked us what we would like to drink. Okay, fair enough, just a little mix up. Situation is handled and we get our drinks and put in our food order.

Food arrives. My friends dish was wrong. She asked for her French Dip dry (and stated "I want no mayo and no cheese, please, sorry to be a pest") and it came out with both. She informed the guy who dropped the food, and he brought it back to the kitchen. The waitress asks us "do y'all need anything else?" and I said "yes, the sweet potato fries I ordered." She said "oh, okay?" and walked away. I know I ordered them. I was not drunk and neither were my friends, it was our first drink of the night.

My friends food comes back out. No cheese this time, but dripping with mayo. She says "I'm really sorry guys but this is still not right." (and yes I know she is a picky eater but she was visiting from out of town and I was showing her the highlands)  Waitress brings the food back to the kitchen and my friend and I share my salad.

Food comes back out, made properly. Waitress: "Are y'all doing okay?"
Me: "Just missing the sweet potato fries."
Waitress nods and walks back inside.

Ate our entire meal, never got the fries I ordered. So we asked for the check so we could go across the street and I could get a couple tacos since I was still hungry after sharing my salad and not getting the fries. Food was not discounted and no acknowledgement of the mistake with the French Dip or the forgotten sweet potato fries.

    Shoddy meal. Disappointed.

The food here is pretty dope. You can also find a few local band gems playing here. I'd recommend the patio to enjoy cold beers, tasty apps, and a Colorado bluebird sky.

The reason I give this place 3 stars is because a group of friends and I went in here to watch the Bears football game on a Sunday after being told the previous night that Mead St. was in fact a Chicago Bears bar. When walking in the following day, and being the ONLY people in the entire bar, we couldn't get the game played on a main TV behind the bar. The bartender was an asshole from the moment we walked in. Sorry Mead St., you've got some staffing decisions to make before I come back for chips and salsa.

Um, I really really really like this place.  It took me and the hubs almost 8 months to finally go here after moving to the 'hood, and I'm honestly a little sad that it did take that long.  The inside is really cool and cabin-y, but in a cool bar way.  We actually went here 2x in one week, albeit not on purpose.

The first visit was great, just the 2 of us coming for dinner.  I'm pretty sure it was Sunday night, around 7p and it wasn't too busy.  We were able to grab a booth in the back corner.  Our waiter was awesome (I can't remember his name but he wore a hat!), and he hooked us up with some beers pretty quickly.  I didn't think they had the best best beer selection, but it was good enough.  Hubs ordered a burger with seasoned potato wedges, and I ordered a chicken burger with sweet potato fries.  The kitchen was actually really slow and our food took quite awhile, but our server kept coming by to check on us, and I was in good company so I didn't actually mind too much.

The food, when it finally did arrive, was OUTSTANDING!  One of the best burgers I've ever tried (we both agreed), and those potato wedges were fantastic and super tasty.  My chicken burger... it seems strange to rave about a chicken burger, but the chicken was cooked perfectly, and it was just absolutely delicious.  The sweet potato fries were pretty good too, but not the best I've had.  I'm not convinced that they weren't cooked frozen from a bag.  I could be wrong, but I'd skip them in lieu of the spicy seasoned potato wedges.  Mmmmm... sooooo good.

The second time we went was on the day of the Highland Street Festival.  It was an insanely hot day and we were looking for some food that was not fried or on a stick - and we were able to snag a picnic table under a tent out in front of the restaurant, which was big enough for our party of 6.  I ordered the portobella mushroom sandwich - WOW.  Really really good.  A couple other people got the fish n' chips, which also looked awesome.

Bottom line, I really really like this place.  The food is surprisingly delicious and the service is friendly.  Mead Street Station, you've got 2 more big fans.

Yesterday a girlfriend and I stopped in to grab a little lunch after doing a little work. We walk in and are quickly seated. Luckily, there was room on the patio as it was a beautiful day. Our server quickly comes over and takes our drink order. We are off to a great start.

We get our drinks and I take a nice sip. I had been craving a margarita, so I was quit surprised at what I tasted. I handed it to my friend to make sure I wasn't insane and felt better when she goes, "Is that whiskey?" I quickly get up and take it back to the server. I told him, "I think the bartender grabbed the wrong bottle." No harm no foul really. I've done the same in the past so I laugh it off. Our server quickly brings another drink and this time it has tequila.

We order lunch and continue chatting. I get the Mead Burger (I think that was the name), gorgonzola cheese and mushrooms. It was pretty tasty but sort of unmemorable. I kept trying to add ketchup or mustard, but nothing really got the flavors going. It wasn't bad, but just kinda, ok.

The lunch went well and I definitely would stop back in this place for food again. Maybe they have a few other things that might be more exciting.

I generally tend to stay away from writing reviews for places that have 100+ reviews already.  However, I am making an exception for Mead Street Station because the experience was just. that. lame.

Red flag number one is being passed by at least two servers while standing by the "please wait to be seated" sign.  I get that it's not "your job", or whatever, but you can at least say "hi" and/or "someone will be right with you".  When someone finally did seat us, it took 5+ minutes to get someone to stop by.  Okay, maybe it's a Tuesday night rush and things are a little backed up, fine.  But then I noticed the table who got sat after us got their orders taken and food received before us... so things aren't so fine anymore.

It always makes me a little nervous when servers don't write orders down because a.) I'm a self-admitted food-mod queen and b.) I've rarely encountered a server "that good" [to get it all right].  My point was made tonight when the wrong side was brought out with my burger.  I'd probably let this slide if I hadn't just had a "come to Jesus" with myself a couple of weeks ago about how I'm not really a fan of sweet potato fries, and if I hadn't been denied them last week at Sloan's Bar & Grille (see review), and if the server hadn't tried to commit our orders to memory in the first place.  So when I apologized for pointing out the error and requesting what I originally ordered (yes, I apologized for rejecting something I didn't order), our server came off as pretty bent out of shape about it.

I try not to write negative reviews (and to me, two stars is on the negative side), but this was just it.  Our server was not very friendly and seemed very short.  Maybe we got the person on a bad night, but the table behind us seemed to get service that was just fine.  There was no apology made for the server's mistake (just an "uh OKAY").  I always try and remember when I've been on that side of table (serving, that is), and try and keep that frame of mind in situations like these.  But some infractions go beyond understanding and forgiveness and get thrown in the round-file.  For me, Mead Street has landed itself in the round-file.  And I can only imagine that its consistently packed dining room and shining reviews are of the Emperor's New Clothes persuasion...

WTH??  I am so confused right now...

Mead Street was like the most reliable place for a great traditional Chicken Ceasar, my go-to menu item for when I want something light, and I only come to Mead Street when I'm craving just that.

The last time I was there (just two weeks ago), I ordered the Buffalo Chicken Salad, which was amazing.  Big dark green romaine leaves, lots of blue cheese, and chicken doused in Louisiana hot sauce (my fave hot sauce).  Dressing was perfect. I  also shared the artichoke dip with my dinner friend, which was absolutely incredible.  Pretty much all artichoke heart, just enough cream to hold it all together, served on a plate with toasted baguette slices and lots of different veggies to dip with.  Loved it.

Today I was all sorts of excited thinking about going back to my traditional Chicken Ceasar and enjoying another order of the artichoke dip.  Unfortunately, what was in the dip bowl was nothing more than little bits of artichoke in a sea of cream base with some cheese on top, served with tortilla chips.  Disappointed, but still looking forward to my salad.

What was set in front of me was a plate of the yellow and white inner romaine leaves with a microwaved rubbery mess of a chicken breast that was slightly seared towards the end, all covered in the most ridiculous serving of OIL.  That's right... the dressing was OIL.  I attempted to stomach it, but the only good I could find was that my lips were really moisturized after a bite.  The server took it back and brought me another menu.  He said he asked the cooks what happened, to which they responded that that's what they serve now.  Server was nice and apologetic, understood my not wanting to order anything else, and tried to joke with me about the situation (I was the joker, he went with it).

Talk about a disappointment.  Didn't think I was going to have to scour all of Denver -again- searching for what I consider a traditional ceasar salad.  If you do the whole burger and fry thing, the ones on everyone else's plates when we left looked really good, so I would recommend sticking to that.

Hopefully this evening was just a fluke.  I give zero stars for tonight's experience, and two stars for hoping they go back to what they were just two weeks ago.

A nice neighborhood spot popular for happy hour during the week, but around 6p the restaurant/bar is overflowing with families. Lots of babies! Could have just been the night I was there, but I joked that I got pregnant by just dining there that evening. Live music is typically later in the night or on weekends. Good selection of beers; not a place I would order wine or finer/creative cocktails. The food is mostly American bar fare and is okay--nothing that stands out in a good or bad way. Service is friendly.

Not my preferred place in the hood but positive experience that I would go back if someone else suggested it.

A very good burger #2 with fries.
    At a very good price.
Tasty and good perfectly medium rare.

    Pleasant atmosphere.

    Friendly service.

Lots of kids there on a Saturday afternoon. Those Highland Mommies are everywhere.

Would I go back? Why, yes, I would.

I'm not sure what more can be said that hasn't already been said in the bazillion reviews for Mead Street Station. It's much larger inside that one one suspect from the outside. The patio is, sadly, too small so if you want to dine al fresco, go early or late.

Very friendly service. Food is above average based on our first visit. My salad was fresh and had loads of ingredients. The balsamic tasted homemade versus from a bottle. My hubby's burger was cooked to order (medium-rare, of course) and his onion rings were large, crisp and pleasingly sweet.

All-in-all, it's clear that they have their process down pat, from the moment you enter the door until you leave with a happy tummy.

    Mediocre.

Mead Street Station used to be a fantastic restaurant -- it had a large range of creative, delicious, fresh food and great service.  My husband and I used to go about once a week.  I guess it has new owners now, and it is completely different.  I can hardly find anything on the menu that I'm excited to order -- it's all just standard, meat-heavy pub fare.  No spark or flair.  Not only are the recipes blah, the quality of the ingredients seems average at best.

The last time we were there, customers at another table were falling-down drunk, and they were ruining the evening for everyone else.  And rather than deal with them appropriately, their server was doing shots with them!

I am writing this on the tail of another review, with the same gripe. Customer service! This place lacks it in volume!! I have always enjoyed the food so that isn't the problem.

We show up and are told it will be about 20 minutes. We were fine with that and walk up to the bar to get a drink while we wait. The 1st thing I notice is 2 servers behind the bar playing grab ass and ignored. I proceed to stand there and stand there. The bartender is obviously busy, but also RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME! I'm sorry people, I bartended for many years and it simply not difficult to say ...'I will be right with you.'

After being ignored I blurt out 'THANKS FOR NOTHING' and we actually drove out of our way to eat a wonderful meal at Pappadeauxs.

Another memory that comes to mind was watching a server check the temperature of the soup once with his index finger.

    EPIC FAIL!

Mead Station is a very interesting bar/restaurant mix. It's pretty rare that businesses can do both with some success, but they seem to do just that.

On the restaurant side there is a really extensive menu full of traditional American style bar grub like burgers, pastas, wings, etc. But they also do some fun stuff like poutine, fish and chips, and prime rib. Every day except Sunday they have a dinner special for a reasonable price and the food I've eaten here has always satisfied.

On the bar side, there is always a rambunctiously fun group of people gathered around the bar, enjoying pints of local brews or listening to the bands and entertainment they bring in every night starting around 9 or 10.

Another cool point about Mead Street is they really strive to be eco-friendly. They recycle a ton of stuff, use biodegradable to-go containers, and support local and organic food products. So all of that combined does in fact make me a fan.

YELP!! WHY WON'T YOU ALLOW ME TO GIVE HALF STAR RATINGS?
OK, so really this is 3.5 stars in my mind.
    Why?
Because their food is not the greatest, but they have good beer, friendly staff and fun on most nights.
DO NOT GET THEIR TUESDAY T-BONE.  It is gristley and not delightful in the least.  Their burgers are just OK, their soups seem to be pretty good across the board, and the rest is just OK or slightly better than OK.  Oh, they have pretty OK peel and eat shrimp.  You can ask for extra spices if you like, and they will oblige.

All that being said, I have had several weird experiences here.  Like the time I won shot glasses for playing trivia I was barely involved in playing?  Or the other time my date tried to make out with me at the bar?  I am super classy, so I like making out in the bar bathroom.  The bar is so 1992.  Or that one time I saw a girl's top fall off.  I wasn't staring at her the rest of the evening, praying it would happen again.  I promise.  That is not the kind of guy I am.  STOP IT!

Located in the heart of the trendy highlands area of Denver.  You must try the Poutine for $5.95  French-fried potato wedges topped with brown gravy and melted fontina. A Canadian favorite. 1/2 order.. $3.95.  I loved everything about it! Since it's probably not so healthy the 1/2 is enough for 1-3 people.  Then if you go during happy hour all the appetizers are $2 off and they have great drink specials too. The last 2 times I've been here there's been seating on the front patio so that's where I usually sit.  It's a small cozy patio probably not good for groups.  Since I've only been seated outside I'm not even sure what the inside of this place looks like.

My mouth is watering thinking about the Poutine.  I cant wait to go back!

I guess it has been since August since I last went to Mead Street. The last experience made me not want to return for a while, so on a whim I decided to give it another try last week.

They messed up my order again...not even a burger this time, something completely different than last time and still came to me wrong.

The atmosphere makes me feel cramped and crowded like a sardine. The sweet potato fries (which there were more of this time) tasted bland and not as good as I remember...I've had better ones at many other places by now.

To sum it up: those two stars remain.

Since moving to the Highlands of Denver a year and a half ago, I've eaten at Mead Street Station a handful of times, and always had a pleasant experience. They have all I require in pub fare: tasty eats, fair prices, amicable staff and plenty of brews. The only thing that keeps the Station from earning the five stars it really deserves is the fact that everyone else knows how wonderful it is: the place is too damn busy to be truly enjoyable!

Allow me the preface of claiming that I'm almost never the type of person to turn away from a busy restaurant. I don't mind the occasional half hour wait, or overbooked waitstaff, or sitting shoulder-to-shoulder with. The problem is, at Mead Street, I've never had a meal there that didn't entail all of the above, creating a sizable obstacle to an otherwise fantastic dining experience. Between long waits to be seated, wined, and served, and the inevitable elbow-rubbing with the neighboring booths, I can't help but think that Mead Street's facility is too small for its own good. Then again, you can't blame the patrons for crowding into the joint! Everything else about this place is great.

The food is a step above typical pub fare: a little greasy, but very tasty, and with a bit of variety and surprises thrown in for good measure (e.g. their salads are not only edible, but quite delectable!). A friend and I decided to ring in St. Paddy's day at the Station last year, and although the wait for dinner was considerable, so was the corned beef and cabbage. Their selection and pricing on beers is better than average (Fat Tire ahoy), but really, this is the kind of place that puts the grub as the main attraction. The burgers are especially savory--I've tried a few, and haven't found one I didn't like.

While I wouldn't recommend Mead Street to anyone hoping to cram in a meal in under an hour, if you're living anywhere near North Denver and haven't venture in yet, you're missing out. Once the wait's over, you'll find the Station is some of the best traditional American eats in town.

Mead St. has a great variety of grub on the menu, but the beers are a little over priced, at $4.50 a pint. I imagine that they have a happy hour, but we certainly missed it.

It definitely has character, and I really dig the railroad track bar foot rail...

I've been to Mead Street Station a couple of times now, and I always enjoy the food and the beers.  The apps are great, we especially like the homemade chips and salsa.  I had the Baseball steak "sandwich", which is served open face with a crapload of crispy onion strings on it.  The steak was done perfectly, but I figured out quickly that this is a messy meal.  My wife had the green chile stew and enjoyed it.  One of our friends had the chicken fried chicken, and raved about the mashed potatoes and the chicken itself.  I was stuffed and wanted a bite.

My only problem with Mead St. is the fact that, even if it's empty, it's crowded.  The tables are so close together and the walking lanes so narrow, it's hard not to bump my knee into a table or for my ass to accidentally knock over a tall chair.

+  one star for the artwork for sale on the walls.
+  two stars for the warehouse looking ceiling and walls, with the exposed beams and bricks.
+  three stars for the mushroom swiss burger I just had that knocked my socks off.
+  four stars for the waiter who made up for moderate flightiness with good humor and droll wit.
+  five stars for the fact that there is live music pretty much every night of the week.  And reasonable prices!

Can't say too much else about it, since I've only been there once, but rest assured we will be back.  Late nights are going to prove irresistible given the combination of "Late Night Happy Hour" (10pm - 12am) and live music (9pm - 12am).  Yippee!

    Be warned: closed on Sundays.

And, they had a special Martini section of the menu.  Will be trying those out shortly.

If you live near the Highlands and have not been to Meade Street (Pub?), go tonight. Or if you're really thirsty... go now!

This is a great little pub with an uncommonly great menu for what would look like a place that deep-fries everything.  Speaking of deep-frying, their onion rings are the BOMB. Mouth-watering burgers. If you want lighter fare, they have great salads, which I have been known to choose over one of their fattier, meatier dishes.

The bathrooms are clean enough (was that a shower curtain separating johns in the men's room?!?), considering it's a pub. The wait staff has yet to disappoint. My primary complaint with this place is that it tends to get noisy and I cannot converse with others around me (take this with a grain of salt -- I have hearing damage, so many bar- or pub-style restaurants are noisier than I prefer).

And, if ever you are walking your dog(s) around the Highlands shopping district, stop by the pub and there will be a community water dish for pet hydration.

Go there. Drink an ale. Eat food. Tip your patron. You'll not regret it.
