We went on a Groupon and give it four stars.  Great service.  Friendly staff.  I loved the food.  They made everything vegetarian for us that we asked.  The atmosphere was great.  We will definitely go back.  The prices were very reasonable.  A step down in cost from Yechon around the corner but the food was just as awesome.   Ask for Grace.  She was great.  We had the seafood tofu and just asked for veggies in it and we had the seafood pancake and asked for just veggies in it.  Both were amazing.  AAAAAANNNNDDD they offered delicious brown rice which is rare for the korean restaurants!!!!  We also had the ChapChae and asked for no beef.  Our waitress was a vegetarian also so she was very accommodating.  Will be back for sure!!!

Food is ok. Service is HORRIBLE. They moved us 2 times. Forgot about our grill. Took forever for our check. Had to hunt someone down. Messed up our check! Total time from in to out: 2 hrs! Sorry I won't be back.

So amazing! We used Groupon, and paid half of the total! The service was quick, the waitresses were very kind (although very heavy accented), and the food was delicious. We had fun using the grill! The pork and beef BBQ were excellent! I cannot complain 1 bit about this place, and will definitely return, Groupon or not!

We had multiple servers, and they were all very very helpful. With my group being new to Korean BBQ, we were definitely helped sufficiently.

Friendly service and good bbq - definetly a new favorite!
We were greeted as soon as we walked through the door and were very pleasantly surprised at how nice the waitress was and how inviting the room looked.
The four of us decided on BBQ - LA Galbi, Beef Brisket, Bulgogi and Spicy Pork.  All were winners with the Galbi being the hands down favorite.  The quality of the meat is good - maybe a step above Honey Pig and at least on par with the Palace - and the marinades/sauces are some of the best in Annandale.  The portion sizes also seem to be a little larger than what you find in most places.  The only negative - and it is a really small one - is that the fried mandu's were on the small side.  The taste however was terrific and I would have liked to have drank the dipping sauce!

The banchan was different from what we are accustomed to, with some somewhat odd selections (spicy hot dog?) but overall very good.   Our group particuarly liked the kimchi - again served differently (with what tasted like daikon mixed in) than what we normally see, but the flavor was great! The egg and soup that came with the orders was also very tasty.

The waitresses - they made it a team effort once the cooking started - did a great job of making sure everything was going alright and kept the grill full at all times.  The also did a nice job making sure that we had plenty of what we liked in the banchan.  They were even paying enough attention to notice that we were enjoying raosting the garlic and jalapenos to eat with the meats and brought extra without being asked - something that is really unusual in my experience.

First visit but certainly not the last!

Food:  Yummy!  One of the best bulgogi's I ever had, and I've had tons.

Service:  Excellent.  There were 2 large groups when we arrived, so I thought we would have long wait times.  But I was wrong.  The waitresses worked so hard to get our order and have our food very quickly.  Also they constantly checked in on us.

It also looks like they recently renovated the place.  I remember coming here a long time ago, and it didn't look as nice back then.

Fantastic food and service! We found this place from Groupon and wanted to give this place a try before getting a large group of friends there. I ordered Bulgogi and my husband ordered Bi Bim Bap. We came at the early dinner rush on Tuesday. There was a slight wait but it was worth it. The kimchi they brought out was exceptional and there was a lot of meat for the Bulgogi. The waitress was attentive and refilled on drinks and the small sides, like kimchi and pickled cucumbers. She even asked if I wanted more lettuce for the Bulgogi, something no other restaurant has ever done.

I will be back here with my friends!

    Service wise the worst ever.
No greeting upon entrance, when there were no other customers. Waitress never came back to check on how I was doing. Asked for water to be refilled 3 times, with the waitress finally giving me water with a stare and quickly walked away without saying anything to the back counter to use her cell phone.

Food wise: ordered short rib/cabbage soup.  The soup had one tiny piece of meat and not enough vegetables. Just ended up eating rice with soup most of the time. Disappointing overall

    Food wise,

I've been to this place about 4-5 time already and was satisfied each time.

First of all, you can't beat all-day $4.99 soup deal!! I especially like their  (dda-ro-gook-bob). It's not something a lot of Korean restaurants serve but it's awesome.

I also like their $9.99 combo deal. You get LA Galbi and naeng-myun with this deal.

We always asked to get more banchans (those free side dishes you get in korean restaurants) and ladies there are always nice about it.  Unless they are really busy, they usually ask you if you want more banchans even before it's all gone.

I like this place. Price is right, food tastes good and service is pretty good. I'll recommend this to anyone.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night because we saw an ad in the newspaper. We're so happy we came here..

When we arrived we were promptly greet by a very, very cute lady who made us feel like we were entering her home! The interior is cute, very homey and warm. Very clean too.

We ordered Galbi BiBimBap, Dolsot BiBimBap, Bulgogi, Galbi, and Spicy Beef Soup. All of the food was delicious. Extremely delicious. You have the option of having a mini grill at your table or having your meat cooked inside. We chose the mini grill because it was more fun. The bulgogi and galbi were extremely flavorful and juicy and tender. The BiBimBap was amazing, the sauce that came with it is the best I've ever tried at any Korean restaurant. The Spicy Beef Soup, tasted like what it is. The soup is so flavorful and you can just taste the beef in the broth, like it's been cooking for days. The sides dishes were also spectacular. We loved the kimchi and all the spicy dishes. The star of the night was the green onion/scallion salad. Wow! So amazing, the literally peeled it to strips and tossed it in a spicy sauce. Amazing!

The service here is so great! We love our server, she was extremely friendly and always checks up on us. She felt like my mom! She kept helping us cook the meat and gave pieces of meat for everyone on their plates. She was sooo adorable, I love her!

I love this restaurant! If they had Suldoga here in California, I would definitely become a regular.

This is relatively a new joint in the Annandale, VA Korean strip. I didn't hear about this until a friend mentioned. The name is bit misleading; the "Sul" on the restaurant name means "alcohol" in Korean -- which tells you that this is a bar/lounge place just from the name. I have no idea why they chose this name when it's clearly a sit-down family-style restaurant. I wouldn't certainly name it this way if I was going for a restaurant. Upon entrance to the restaurant, there is a fancy bar; so maybe this place turns into a hip bar/lounge at nights.

Anyways, it's located right behind the famed "Tosokjib" and across from "Honeypig". The parking is ample, so you won't have to deal with that.

The interior is very clean; they themed for old-school Korean days but it gives bit modern-like look at the same time. I think it's pretty cool that they hit both styles.

This isn't your class Korean-BBQ style joint. The menu is a paper right front of you. They don't seem to have 40+ items like most Korean joints do in Annandale, but they offer many classic and flagship items and is relatively inexpensive. Their combo selections are very attractive for both portion and price but I didn't get them.

3 friends and I went for Thursday night dinner around 7PM. It wasn't crowded at all. We ordered 3 items; a casserole (gamja-jeongol), noodle dish (gooksoo), and a meat dish (sooyook). 3 are very share-able items and plenty for a table of four. All were solid.

The service was particularly good. Maybe it was just that night and wasn't crowded. We were frequently checked up but didn't distract our dinner conversation.

Personally, I welcome restaurants like this. There are too many restaurants focus on Korean BBQ; where after about two visits -- they all taste the same. Annandale lacked signature places where they focus less on meat and focus more on the traditional signature dishes and I believe this place provide my needs. I'll be coming back for more.

The menu was kind of  disappointing. The selection is very limited. We wanted the Udon but they said that it was not available that night, it is on their menu. Then I tried to order the chicken wings and the waitress said that it would not be ready for a 1/2 hour.  We ended up ordering  the Tonkatsu $15.00 which came with a baked potato , pasta salad and some other kind of salad( looked like shredded cabbage but tasted like shredded coconut) I did not like the sauce that they had put on it is tasted kind of peanuty instead of sweet and spicy. The portion size of the meat was the size of 1 1/2 pork chop but no where near the humongous size like at ARA. I probably will not be returning.

Asa non-Korean, I thoroughly enjoy Korean cuisine.  Although this restaurant is new, I have found the food served there to be absolutely delicious.  The soups are as delicious to the eyes as they are to the palate.  I have finally found MY Korean restaurat.

I went here one Thursday evening for dinner. It wasn't very crowded, but I know it has just opened. It looks like they are aiming to be a chicken and beer place. The wings weren't too bad, but they weren't so good that I would go there just for wings. I liked my tofu and kimchi dish and probably get that again.

I think the place has some potential. I'll give it a try again in a few months.

I had my birthday party here last week with about 20 friends. I called the day before to make reservations. I'll give one star for them accommodating us but I'm gong to take the star back due to the fact that they did not have pitchers of beer and only bottles. The place was clean, service was decent and food was ok but this establishment does not stand out from any other korean bar/restaurants in the area. The prices also seems pretty stiff. So go here if you want change of scenery but thats about all you'll get.
