I frequent this Friday's location due to it's proximity to my place of employment. It is your standard American chain restaurant with the usual bar-food offerings along with a full menu.
What really makes this location stand out for me is the bar staff--they are the reason I keep going back. I never sit in the dining room of this restaurant because most of the bar staff is so wonderful! My drink and meal orders are promptly handled and I am always treated very nicely. You don't even need to order alcohol to sit over there, which is great!
The food is good, too. I've never ordered anything at Friday's that I didn't like. My boyfriend normally gets something from the Jack Daniel's menu which he is quite fond of, and I typically go for a burger or pasta. Their New York Cheddar and Bacon Burger is always good; it has a huge patty covered with cheese, crispy onion straws, crisp lettuce and all the other usual fixings. The Bruschetta Chicken Pasta is also pretty decent, it is a spaghetti dish topped with bruschetta, grilled chicken, and balsamic vinegar which makes for a savory combination. Sometimes the spaghetti is overcooked a little, but that doesn't happen too often.
My only complaint is the service in the dining room. It really does suck in comparison to the service in the bar area. My boyfriend and I sat in the dining room once and waited nearly 20 minutes without anyone taking our drink orders. We just picked up our stuff and moved to a table in the bar!
Typical chain restaurant with a waitress that doesn't listen. I had the New York bacon and cheddar burger. Â Of course it came out wrong but I didn't complain. Â The burger was nothing special; just a typical burger you can get at any chain. Â I would save your money and try going to a locally owned restaurant where the staff care about what their customers want.
Review Source:This place lives and dies by the quality of its service. The food is standard chain-restaurant fare; speaking in the general sense, it's better than eating at something like an Applebee's. And given its location, the clientele leaves something to be desired - you can tell that the waitstaff aren't used to being tipped properly, so many of them have stopped trying. Get an inattentive server, and you won't be able to get out the door quickly enough. But my wife and I have had the occasional server or bartender that makes the entire experience worthwhile; the last time we were at this location, in fact, the bartender was such a friendly, magnanimous, and helpful individual that we tipped him above and beyond the call of duty, and made sure we informed the manager on the way out of the excellent service we'd received.
Even if you're in a fairly dire one-in-a-million chain restaurant, the moral is this: the right service can make your meal go down a whole lot easier. Please, guys, reward good service heartily, whether it's through generous tipping or gushing praise to the employee's superior or, hell, through Yelping - dining out would be a much more pleasant experience with guys like that one Friday's server at your disposal. Pity the rest of the staff didn't seem to be following his example.
I've often wondered if employers actually read these reviews and or, use it in a constructive manner to address certain issues? Maybe employee's read them and remember the incidents? Â But I'm pretty sure at this location, Â the management and the staff can't read, so I'm not all that concerned.. Not that I don't appreciate my server at the bar, looking to pick up his future baby mamma, just not while I'm waiting to pay him and leave...
Review Source:During my most recent visit to this location my waiter seemed annoyed at the idea of serving my boyfriend and I. The only thing he ever physically put on our table were the drinks and the bill (which he brought out before we had even gotten our desserts). He was serving the tables around us and put all the plates for the area on a big tray. Instead of putting the tray on a stand and handing us our food (as is common practice in every restaurant EVER) he held the tray down for us and we had to fish our plates out of the pile. Ridiculous.
Review Source:Over time I have been to many locations but have not been back to any of them for several years so this is my first Friday's experience in a long time. Passing through the area I had the Strawberry Fields Salad and was really quite pleased with it. The service was good and the food for everyone at the table seemed to be excellent.
Since it has been so long I cannot compare it to any other locations but one thing is for sure -- if you are passing through and need a quick bite of some familiar food this could be a great place to stop.
This TGI Friday's is located in a strip mall (near Pathmark and Home Depot) along US-13 northbound. It may be I went to this restaurant during a slack period in the late afternoon but I received by far the best service I've ever gotten at any TGI Friday's. The server was knowledgeable about the menu and helped me with the TGI Friday's email coupons that I'd brought in. At various times during the meal, she came back and suggested little things she could do provide would make my meal better. All I ordered was an appetizer and a salad but I felt like I had received first-class treatment. Of course, I have no idea what this place is like when it is busy but it sure was great when the place wasn't packed.
