I don't typically write reviews for fast food restaurants, but I feel absolutely compelled to in this situation.
The woman working at the this Taco Bell was quite possibly the most genuinely nice person I've ever met behind a fast food counter. She insisted on giving me free water, and joked around with me as I tried to make a meal decision.
This Taco Bell location is the BOMB-DIGGITY.
About 10 years ago I worked across the street from Ogilvie Station and would stop by this Taco Bell for a quick meal every once in a while. What struck me was the genuine friendliness of the staff, not only with the customers, but with one another. SInce then I've only stopped in a few times (most recently a couple weeks ago) and the staff is still as friendly as ever. So much so that they actually stand out from every other fast-food place I've ever been too. Very unique and unusual.
The food is above average for a Taco Bell as well. Although it's still Taco Bell, it's good for a quick, inexpensive meal every once in a while.
But the people working there? Very cool.
This place gets five stars because the staff is GENUINELY concerned with how my day was going before I ordered that Nachos Bell Grande. Genuine concern is hard to come by these days.
And, they GENUINELY wish that my day will progressively turn amazing after I leave. Though, since I'm about to eat Taco Bell, the chances aren't great .... but I won't burst their bubble.
Taco Bell is heaven on earth....especially this location on Madison St.
Where else would I go for lunch or dinner?...nowhere.
I use to live across the street and would run to this location wearing flip-flops in the snow.
After an intense garba (Navratri) celebration, a late-night study amigo, or for the "I'm hangover free and alive the next morning" feeling- I'm going to Taco Bell.
If anyone tries to shut this place down...I'll be waiting in the parking lot.
"You're the best around! Nothing's gonna ever keep you down!" ....except for the Blackhawks parade I guess.
I heard this one was supposed to be glorious. Brilliant meat to cheese ratios and super quick and friendly staff.
First off, there were lines 10 people deep and when I finally chimichanga'd my way up to the front the gal at the register greeted me with a warm smile and a "Hi! How are you doing today?!"
Me "I'm doing quite well, gracias!"
Her "Wonderful! ::pause:: Hi! How are you doing today?!"
So unless I went on broken record day, I feel like her politeness was a little not-so-genuine.
Food was ok.
There were no mints in my bag this time, nor gentlemen to sweep the legs...of me off my feet.
Clybourn Tacy Bell still rules over all.
It's Taco Bell, with higher prices, but it's Taco Bell. Â What stands out here are the employees. Â There must be some kind of contest to see who can be the most chipper/obnoxious employee because they are all smiles and giggles and loud (ringing bells) and want to be your new BFF when they take your order. Â I was having a bad day once and didn't feel like making nice-nice with them so the manager gave me some cinnamon twists, which I don't like and went in the garbage anyway, but it was the thought that counts.
Review Source:I'm blown away by the speed at which they process their orders. Â Don't be afraid of their huge lines, because you'll blow right through it and have your food in no time! Â On the negative side, I have had a stale taco or two here. Â It's your typical taco bell, with jet speed service.
Review Source:This is a typical Taco Bell. If you are in the mood for a meal past the time that most places around here close (7-9, weekdays only) this place closes much later than the rest (I think around 1am) and is open on the weekends.
I didn't notice the food quality, staff or anything else below what I would expect of a taco bell.
This Taco Bell is very hidden in the food court. Â For some reason, their food is the worst out of all the Taco Bells I've been to. Â However, it's still good enough to satisfy the craving to run for the border. Â The food court located at this place called Center Stage is crowded during lunch so have fun trying to find a table...
