Good help must be really hard to find. Service here is awful and this is after I waited on the phone for 10 minutes. Awful.

The taco salad is the best I've had in Cincinnati. However I haven't tried any of the other menu items because I always get the taco salad.

I have been here for lunch a few times with some friends and they rave about the restaurant, everyone raves about the taco salad and how it's the best in Cincinnati. I have ordered it and it is good, but the price is pretty high.
Not a lot of seasoning goes into any dish, as most of it is bland and def not authentic, just an American version served out of cans.

They do deliver and also have a drive-thru window for those interested. The workers have always been super nice and friendly.

BEST TACO SALAD IN THE UNIVERSE.

    actually, everything is good.

i just got hip to taco casa about 6 months ago and i feel i was missing out.

careful when you order - the junior taco salad is enough food.  small if you have a big appetite!  large if you are having a party for 8 friends.

hit up the casa, you won't be disappointed.

This is just basically a local Taco Bell.  Not a lot of seasoning goes into their dishes, and if you have tried their "salsa," Mild is basically ketchup water, Spicy is ketchup water with pepper.  The place is a grab-and-run kind of place, I mean, the over-head counter menu is literally pieces of paper taped to a board.

That said, if you know what you're getting yourself into, there is something (maybe a guilty pleasure?) about their Taco Salad (which regularly gets voted Best in the city).  It's basically a 7-layer dip with canned tomatoes, Skyline style cheese, and lower quality yellow corn chips.  I stopped on the way to a party the other night and picked up a couple salads for munchies.  I probably wouldn't stray too far from the Taco Salad.  I had the Enchiladas once...  once.

I'm not a big fan of authentic Mexican restaurants, but I do like Americanized (is that a word?!) Mexican food. I'd say this place is a little more authentic, and at least more edible than Taco Bell.

I work in walking distance of this place and with McDonald's, Subway, and Skyline being the only other close choices, this is a good alternative. I'm a fan of the chicken quesadillas, though my coworkers mostly opt for their taco salads, which they opt to put ranch dressing in over sour cream. Very interesting indeed.

The main reason they earn a third star from me is because their staff is always extremely friendly and they are in plain sight as they prepare your food. Being a germaphobe, I LOVE this!

Definitely nothing to rave over, but I'd pick this over Taco Bell any day!

I was sad to have to give one star at all.  How is this place still open?  There is nothing solid about this place.  My chicken was so dry we left after our first bites.  I have never stopped after one bite.  Enough said.

If you are looking for good basic mexican american-style this is it. They are known for their Taco Salads, and I used to snag one downtown all the time before it closed and moved here. This is the old Skyline location, parking is tight.

This is NOT fancy, or authentic mexican, but the tacos, salads and burritos are solid. They also have some interesting "boats". If I want authentic mexican, I go elsewhere, but it is good, and a good value. I don't understand the comment that it is similar to Taco Bell.

This place is similar to taco bell. The meat is a paste and the tomatoes are canned. If you want low quality tacos on the fly go to taco bell

The is a chain restaurant or perhaps better described as a franchise? This location is very convenient to the College of Engineering and Applied Science on the Victory Parkway Campus.  The menu and pricing are the same as the other locations.

It's a narrow, unassuming structure with minimal parking and a drive through. There is seating on the inside both in the form of tables and diner style counters. The kitchen, or rather assembly line is centrally located so you can see everything that is going on as your food is prepared. It is a no nonsense environment. They prep and present the food with the emphasis on speed, not on appearance.

The burrito arrives wrapped in butcher's paper and sitting in a paper boat. The size is what you've come to expect by many of the other burrito joints, in other words, big and heavy. As you heft it, you can imagine it sitting in your stomach. You'll be full.

Unlike some of the other popular burrito establishments, this burrito doesn't leave me with indigestion. Perhaps this is due to the completely basic and perfectly utilitarian composition. As you bite in, you can clearly identify the cans and bags of ingredients you would pick up from bulk restaurant supply to perfectly recreate this meal.

The black beans appear to be from a car, drained and warmed. The cheese is your standard bulk pre-shredded yellow (cheddar?). The tomatoes are mushy, wet and still holding the can flavor tightly to them. The white rice is lightly seasoned. The jalapenos are also canned with a slightly mushy/briny texture and flavor and have been sucked of most of their spicy kick by this process. The guacamole does not appear fresh as it is the consistency of sour cream, with that almost translucent, pale green color. It does have a considerable amount of flavor though when compared to the other ingredients.

What does it have going for it? Well, it's most likely lower in caloric content than many other places due to a lack of processing of the ingredients for the most part. It is expensive at $6.59 for what you get. I'm guessing the main benefit is that it is fast and they have a drive through.

It's not terrible by any means, there is just nothing to excite me into returning. They do have a number of vegetarian options, so I guess that justifies the three star rating for me.
