If there were 0 star reviews this place would get it.  Bill came to $80 for 2 people, each had a below average margarita and a dinner.  No appetizer or desert.  I had the Skirt Steak Tacos.  They were beyond well done.  There was no flavor and very chewy.  I've had better Mexican food at Taco Bell.  Avoid this place.

This place is sub-par at best. I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 because our server was extremely. nice. I've eaten here a couple times and the mexican food is so mediocre. Very bland. Chips and salsa had no flavor and neither did the enchiladas. The hostesses were pretty clueless which was very off-putting, the restaurant was empty and we wanted a table by a window and there were multiple window tables and we kind of had to fight them on it, I know sometimes they have a system of which tables they have to seat but if the place is empty its best to make the customer happy. Do not recommend.

Checked it on yelp after exiting Hard Rock Casino and saw some bad reviews. I decided to go check it out myself just to be sure. Well you may disregard this review if you choose, but two tables were occupied and the patrons did not look happy, I looked around and no server in sight. I decided to skip it and went to Johnny Rockets.

Came here with my aunt and cousin last week on a Saturday night. One of the hostesses wasn't the friendliest. We sat down outside. A man took our order for a guacamole appetizer and then went missing. A little while later someone came to our table in realization that we were not being helped and shortly after we had another waitress serving us who was very friendly and accommodating. I ordered one of their mixed drinks. I split a salad and burrito with my aunt. Food was pretty good. I would go again.

I went to see Bill Maher at the Hard Rock and stopped in here afterward for a bite to eat.  Very unimpressed to say the least.

My boyfriend and I each had a frozen margarita and they took at least 15 minutes to come out.  I understand it was the Sunday night before Labor Day and not long after an event but that is still quite a while to wait for a drink.  The margarita was very so so.  By the time I got to the bottom it was very watery.

There were free chips and salsa.  The chips were decent and the salsa was okay, nothing special but it was free.  For my dinner I went with the ceviche appetizer (it was either shrimp or scallops, I cannot remember) and it less than great.  It tasted like pasta salad, not ceviche.  My boyfriend ordered the tacos and said they were okay.

Our waiter was very nice and friendly.  He did try to up-sell us on drinks and an appetizer but we declined.

I was unimpressed with the food and will not be returning.  I would much rather go to Taco Rico or one of the great local places on Calle Ocho.  Way less expensive and MUCH better food.

I wanted to like this place.. I really did. However, after two less than mediocre outings here I can honestly say this place is a waste of time and money. I've had a way better time at Chilis and spent half the money. It's totally over priced mexican food. $12 guacamole? Seriously...?

The staff is completely useless. Need reservations? Ha! Don't even try it. No one knows what's going on. They give you the run around and you'll get a different response depending on which server answers the phone.

So if you're looking for a good time at Hard Rock you should definitely go somewhere else..

    Unimpressed.

Hungry and wanted a couple of drinks while waiting for others to try our luck at the slots. Sunday afternoon around 5pm so the place was semi empty - sat down immediately.

We ordered 2 drunken mexicans (Patron Shots with Coronas; you have to mix yourself) and a skirt steak burrito. Meh. The so called "hot sauce" tasted more like pepper with expired Frank's sauce (yes, I know what that tastes like). We opted to eat as is, which wasn't good at all.

Automatic 18% gratuity. Why?? Don't trust the customers to really rate the food and service?
In short, spent $48 for two drinks and a burrito. Overpriced. So disappointed. To think I chose this place over Tatu. That will teach me to second guess myself.

Great place to eat for dinner!! At a recent trip to the Miami area, a group of us ate at Tequila Ranch for dinner. We had the yummy margaritas and the burrito. Our waiter, Guillermo was very helpful and made sure that we had everything we needed. Our table was outside and nothing could of been better!!

I went here to drinks and a light bite. But boy oh boy! It was a slow night and only a few tables outside were occupied. Inside was completely empty. We asked if we could just order a couple of drinks since the outdoor bar was closed. At first the hostess said no, but the manager on duty was close behind and Ok'ed it.

We chose our own seats and checked out the menu. Mumbles our server only said two things: Got it? Good. Not a very appetizing one I might add. However I ordered a glass of sangria and my friend the Mexican Blonde. Mumbles said Got it? Good, after putting down each of our drinks. I wish I knew why. My drink was less than inspiring and my friend's lack alcohol, but we sipped away anyhow.

I got a little taste for the munchies and ordered their Tropical Lentil Chowder and men did it look like sh!t in a bowl. There was small chunks of pineapples on top and lost pieces of plantain. It was cool to the taste, but got warmer the further my spoon went.  I really did not enjoy this chowder, but my poor taste in judgement is to blame.

So wanted nachos, but of course they didn't serve any so we got the Trio of Tequila Ranch Dipping  Sampler: Queso dip, Mexican chili dip, Guacamole & tortilla chips. Everything about this was wrong. The cheese dip was overly salty, the chili dip had more beans than chili, the guacamole lacked taste and the chips were too few.

Lastly the most horrid part of the service was the waitress constantly calling us Huh, Dear and Baby. Just not my kind of thing.

Go for the Bull, not the food!

Food was good, but over priced.  Service was awful.  They automatically include 18% tip on every bill and therefore the servers are not motivated.  We were there on a slow day when there were just a couple of other tables.  Our server disappeared for about 20 minutes.  We had to flag down another guy to get our waiter twice (once to get more salsa and another time for the bill).  Very disappointing when you pay about $70 for a lunch for two people.

The food was overpriced and not good. I went to this restaurant, because it seemed reasonable compared to the other overpriced restaurants at hard rock. The food was lame and the service was terrible. The server didn't check on us after he took our order. Instead he stood in the corner talking to other servers (probably ignoring their section too). Finally he brought us the check so we could leave and never go back! If your planning on eating dinner at hard rock casino...don't!

People actually walked out after sitting down and looking over the menu and seeing already annoyed patrons.

Went here last night for something like a bachelorette party. So first of all, I've been to more than my fair share of Mexican-inspired restaurants and this one had to be the biggest disappointment. With that said where were the complimentary chips and salsa? Well they don't offer it but if you want chips and watered down salsa you can pay a pretty penny for it. Try 16 bucks! I ordered the drunken chicken, a pan-seared chicken breast with a chorizo sauce. Totally flavorless. The sangria was too sour and there was not enough variety on their menu. And to top it all off the the music was too loud. Not a great experience at all. I'm done.

I went to this restaurant with my parents saturday night. The best advice for you should be : - avoid the enchiladas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We took the enchiladas, and sunday we were all sick!!!!

The service wasn't really wonderfull, and they take 18% tips !!!

We took the frozen margaritas pitcher and there was absolutely no alcool in this margarita!
I also have to say that it wasn't really good, my chicken didn't taste like chicken and in my enchilada I only had chicken, not even a green pea!!!
The only thing that was good was the guacamole which was very fresh!

I cannot believe that this big restaurant can make you sick, and I cannot believe that in the Hard Rock Cafe Casino they accept to have such a restaurant!!!

    Once again, avoid the enchiladas!!

I love the Casino, but I'll never come back in is restaurant!!!

If I could give this place NO STARS, I would!  Absolutely ridiculous and a complete Rip Off!!! I ordered a salad and as the menu stated $12 and then with Chicken $14.. You would think the salad was $14... Well, when we got the check the salad, YES Spinach and Blue Cheese with a couple of slices of chicken was $26, plus tax and of course the 18% gratuity is automatically added to the check.  When we complained to the Manager that the menu was completely Misleading.. He said that he would let Corporate know... That was it!!! Horrible service, horrible management, horrible place!!!  Will never, ever return!

I will never go there again. I took my mother on saturday for her birthday told the waiter 2 and he said ok. At the end they never sang happy birthday, but they did to other tables while i was there. The food was bad,  the fajitas over cooked. We had 3 margaritas $42.00 clompletly watered down. The wine list is horrible.  The salsa was ketchup i asked for salsa and they charged me even though i was charged for salsa and chips seperated. They brought a 1 inch cup with one spoon of salsa i ask 3 different times. I asked for hot sauce and he took it away while i was using it becuase another table wanted hot sauce also. The bil $250.00 for nothing. There is nothing at all authentic mexican food in this site. I will make sure all my friends will not go there ever. It seems that they think because they get tourist it does not matter but alot of locals go there and as for my friends they will not be going to this particular resturant any time soon.

I see a lot of recent bad reviews here so I'm not sure if we got lucky or everyone else had bad luck. Either way, we enjoyed Tequila Ranch. We went on a Monday night and it was pretty dead so our service was good. Yes, they did charge 18% gratuity automatically, but we didn't mind as our server was worth it. We ordered fajitas for two and they were some of the tastiest fajitas I've ever had. The portion was huge and they were very flavorful. I wouldn't recommend the white queso dip. It looked good on the menu but it fell short in taste. We didn't have any drinks but they have a huge outdoor bar that looked like a great place on a busy night.

God awful. This restaurant was the worst dining experience I've had in years and quite possibly my whole life.

My friend and I went in on a Friday night it wasn't busy at all but wasn't slow either.  I waited tables for years so I'm EXTREMELY particular about my dining experience.

The hostesses were pretty okay, I don't like the layout of the dining room but it wasn't that serious. The server was nice and attentive initially.

My friend and I both ordered cocktails, they were good, the meal didn't come with free chips and salsa so we ordered somemore $3. The chips were out of a bag and the salsa was mediocre but I wouldn't say it was bad.

We both ordered tortilla soup and it was repulsive! It had mushy corn tortillas floating in it and it was blood red/ orangey ick ick ick we sent it back I rarely ever send things back bc I feel bad but we both agreed it was inedible.

We then split combo (chicken & "filet") fajitas DEFINITELY not filet, the skillet wasn't even sizzling, but we did see other fajitas going by sizzling.  Overall the fajitas ended up being edible more so bc we would feel bad just saying cancel everything.

So of course when we're so ready to leave our server is no where to be found we counted 12 ppl that walked pass our table without clearing our plates which we neatly stacked at the edge of the table, then we lost count, but it was more than that. Oh and also counted 9 servers just stand together in a large group talking.

There was an 18% auto grat which is fine it was clearly started on the menu.

The drinks were $11 each and the fajitas were $23.

Basically when I left there I had to keep it together so I wouldn't weep in public since we both felt like we had been raped in a strange way...

Only slightly better than my Hollywood FL Red Lobster visit. I figured in the Hard Rock complex this place would have been good. Failed to check Yelp first and saw that a quick check would have saved me some heartache.

Food and drinks were overpriced and somewhere around a 3-4 out of 10. Chips were stale, salsa was like water. Enchiladas were passable at best. Refried beans were not refried, but in fact, they were ranch beans. No big deal but thats what they were.

So far this Florida trip has been a bust in the food department.

I hate to say it (because I love going to the Hard Rock), but I would avoid this restaurant at all cost.

First, they are extremely overpriced. $16 for a Margharita!?!?! $6 for a luke warm beer!?!?! Aye Caramba!

Second, not only are the drinks overpriced but the food is overpriced as well. Almost $40 for a single chicken/steak fajita!?!?! And get this... it doesn't even come with RICE & BEANS!!! No, that's EXTRA!!!

Oh, and check this out... we order Nacho's as an appetizer, so I tell the guy that I don't eat guacamole, but love salsa. So he brings like a TUB of guacamole and a THIMBLE of salsa. I'm thinking... that's not going to help your tip buddy but get this...

The 18% gratuity is AUTOMATICALLY added! Only two of us had lunch... that's right LUNCH! Who AUTOMATICALLY adds 18% gratuity for a party of two... AT LUNCH!?!?! To make it even more TACKY, the waiter had the audacity to CIRCLE the gratuity! Um... if you really wanted to make sure we noticed, you should have informed us of your little scam UP FRONT! Not after you delivered your sub-standard service!

I have no problem tipping for a good experience, however, this WAS NOT a good experience. I actually left the place UPSET, which only resulted in indigestion and a headache.

Suffice it to say, I will not be going back. I did call later on to speak to the General Manager, Carlos Garcia. I shared my experience with him. It was clear that he could care less.

So ADIOS Carlos Garcia and Tequilla Ranch. I wish you good luck, because based on my experience... you're going to NEED IT!

Went here for dinner last night before doing some gambling at Hard Rock and it was alright, but certainly nothing special. It is a typical tourist-trap restaurant in that the food is not that good and the prices are way too high.

I ordered the Burrito in a bowl which is exactly what it sounds like - all of the things from inside the burrito, just in a bowl without the tortilla. It was decent, but for $18, I don't feel that it was worth it. It was literally just chicken, rice, beans, lettuce, tomato, cheese, a dollop of sour cream and guacamole. Like I said, nothing special. My g/f got the nachos and the steak was pretty good, but nothing out of this world ($12).

The service was terrible as well. We went when the restaurant wasn't that busy and it took the server 10 minutes just to come get out drink order. The food came out quick, but when it came time for the check, it took the waitress about 15 minutes just to get us out of there. Terrible service and there's no excuse since it wasn't even busy yet.

Sadly, it's probably one of the cheapest places out there at the Hard Rock (Johnny Rockets and other "fast food" type places notwithstanding), but it is still horribly overpriced. I suppose they can get away with it though as it has been open for a little while. I would recommend eating out away from the Hard Rock if you're not looking to spend a good amount of money on food as most of the places out there are not that good or worth the money.

Hey this people can kiss my ass!!! They never let me in never and i've tried three times and everytime they have a new reason as to why i cant get in. First its no hats after a certain time which is understandable then the next time is oh no sneakers when i saw dudes wit sneakers on inside the the finale time was oh we your shirt is too long!!! which was funny because i had just left club passion and opium and i went in both with no problem. So what conclusion i came up with was that i was dress code meets the club standards but not TEQUILA RANCH?!? But its all good they wont never get a dollar out of me.

Went for a late saturday night dinner, with hopes of Tequila and Bull Riding.  Turns out we got a 30$ pitcher of watered down lemonade that they called margaritas and NO BULL, just an empty ring upon a very crowded entry way.  There were 10 of us at dinner and we ordered 5 appetizers, but the waiter did not bring us silverware or appetizer until our main entrees arrived.  The food was bland and not up normal Hard Rock standards.
I have been a few times in the past and the food used to be good.  Based on my most recent visit I will never go back.

I visited this place last night for the first time and my thoughts? Meh.  I didn't have any of their food but the drink prices were average (one beer for $7).  The place is separated in two, one side playing latin music and another playing hip-hop and also having a mechanical bull.  Watching people on it is the best part of the place.  After several hours of being there, most of the crowd had left.  I wouldn't mind going again, but only for a quick beer and bull ride.  Definitely not a place to spend your whole night.

The one star is only because you can't give 0.  We walked in, 3 people, to be joined shortly after by 3 more, who were parking, and asked for a table for 6.  The place was empty except for 2 tables.  We were informed we couldn't be seated till the full party arrived. This was like a scene from a comedy, with 50 empty tables and us standing in the door being told we can't have one of them. So I asked for a table for a party of 3 so we could sit. The hostess then asked if we were each ordering dinner. We said we would be ordering an assortment of drinks and appetizers and some dinners. She said she couldn't give us a table unless we were each ordering dinner. We went elsewhere and I'm pretty sure we spent more than Tequila's average dinner bill.  These people need to review their policies and training.

Whenever I visit the Hard Rock I usually frequent this restaurant for dinner. It has a really fun atmosphere, some interesting murals painted on the walls, and even a mechanical bull!
The prices are a bit expensive for Mexican cuisine, but it is always tasty and fresh. A margarita pitcher is $30 to give you an estimate of prices. I would recommend the chicken empanadas or steak quesadilla if you visit. You also can't go wrong with a standard burrito.
I have never had a problem with service here. No matter what day of the week, I have never waited over 10 minutes for a table, and the hostesses and wait staff are very friendly and willing to cater to your parties' needs.

Tried it for lunch, the $12 guacamole was horrible, and the salsa was terrible, it was not salsa, it was more like watered down tomato paste.  Good guac and salsa are must haves for any decent Mexican restaurant.    The Coronas were the highlight of the meal.

I am rating the food.  As far as entertainment at night and the bar scene, it's a pretty fun place.

The hostess was not only rude but I swear she had an I.Q. of 71.  They were not accommodating to our party at all.  We called earlier in the week and asked about reservations but learned that they don't do that and to come early enough and they will get our party together.  When we arrived not only did they tell us that everyone must get $25 worth of food and drinks but if they sit us at a table of 10 and only 8 are there then they will charge the remaining open seats to $25.  Although it was a little large we were told that they could not put tables together and about an hour later a large party about the same size were being put together with several tables.  When we complained to the manager his attitude and response was, what do you want me to do about it?  We were forced to move once and the service was really slow.  I could tell our waiter was trying his best but you could see he had to much to do.  The server who brought our food out was just short of throwing my food at me and ran off.  The couple who sat with us asked for the special with no spiciness but was actually extremely spicy.

They wouldn't split the bill with the couple who was at our table because we were told the computer won't allow them to assign more than one bill per table.  When we got the bill we found out that the fresh chips and salsa with guacamole that were suggested to us were $3 for the chips and tiny cup of salsa and $12 for the small bowl of guacamole, I couldn't believe it and felt I was taken.  When I gave him my credit card to run our portion of the bill he came back and told us that the COMPUTER would NOT allow him to run it for half of the amount and keep it open.  When asked to speak to the manager the waiter apologized and went to get him/her.  The waiter came back and explained that the manager is on the phone and busy and he ran our card for the amount requested.  I found it odd the computer would not have let him and all of a sudden allowed.  I would avoid, I definitely wont be returning.  It's a shame that a place like this is attached to a large casino and hotel because no matter how poor the service there will always be new tourist who will only come and go once and the hotel will keep that place going.  If I was a manager of that place I probably wouldn't care either.

I went for a bachelorette party last month. We took the bride to be so she could ride the bull. We didn't stay for dinner but it was pretty funny enjoyable to watch her and the rest of us ride the bull. It's free to ride the bull but the people working at the counter to ride the bull expect a huge "tip" for a good ride. So be ready to give them
What they expect/ want for a good ride if not you will end up looking like a fool.

I love Mexican food. I love tequila. I am not a snob about Mexican food, appreciating Tex-Mex style, authentic, and Americanized restaurants when the quality is good. I don't mind dropping dough for a good meal, either. I thought TR would be right up my alley. I was wrong.

    The good:
The hostesses were very friendly and helpful.
The wait staff was accommodating to our large party, grouping us into smaller checks to make it easier on us.
The atmosphere is nice, comfortable, and spacious.

    The bad:
The Margaritas were the worst I have ever had. They tasted like straight sour mix.
The food was ridiculously overpriced. $15 for two small chicken enchiladas? Really?
The food was not good. Steak and chicken were both dry; shrimp tasted charred and chewy (overcooked)
The servers taking care of our large party seemed overwhelmed and could have been more attentive.
Getting to the restaurant is a pain if you don't know the Hard Rock complex

Some restaurants deserve a second shot, but I'm afraid TR is not one of them. They are sub par and seem to be just fine with it. The location ensures lots of foot traffic, so I don't think they will be lowering prices or improving the quality of the food any time soon.

this place was seriosuly terrible.  we went on a thursday night.  parking is a joke-although thats not the retarounst fault...it is located in the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood.  Apparently they are working on additional parking...but thye need to pick up the pace.  We were in our car waiting to park for 50 mins (ugh!)

So we had heard good things about this place, so decided to hit it up.  It is hard to imagine that we could have made a worse choice.  Everything was terrible!  I think we saw our server 2 times...drinks were never refilled...and for an added annoyance-the gratuity was included!  (which for an 8+ party I can understand--but there were 4 of us!!!!!!!)  Any truely, dont even get me started on the food--it was awful..so bland, room temperature (not hot), boring, and overpriced.

oh, and what freaking mexican restaurant charges for chips and salsa?!  4$ for the worst chips and salsa i have ever had...i seriously was convinced they had accidentally brought us spaghetti sauce.

    save your money and frustration.

not friendly for anyone, forget about being a vegetarian.

Best part was the mechanical bull entertainment thanks to my friends that had to break the ice on getting the bull started.  Food was blah I ordered the steak &chicken fajitas. The best part of the food was the grilled onions n peppers. The chicken tasted like rubber & splashed with Cajun seasoning. Im positively sure that the chicken was pre-made until someone orders the fajitas, then they sautee the onions n peppers.
The waiter didn't even give us plates to prepare the fajita.  OH!!! & after drinking all day at the beach all I wanted was water as my drink. They only sell figi water bottles for 4 dollars & that's the small bottle @that.  That's just completely ridiculous. So if ur thirsty for water I recommended bringing ur  own.  I know it's pretty sad. Lol I wasnt so pissed  about until now that I'm writing this review. 3 stars for the Bull Show & nice Staff

I didn't order food here so my review is only on the BLAST I had!!

My friend and I walked by here on our way to the casino, and once she saw the mechanical bull inside... there was no turning back.

At first... I had NO intentions of riding the bull, my only goal was to get my friend liquored up enough to go on. SUPER friendly staff and CUTE bartender who hooked us up! We ordered a COUNTLESS number of shots & mixed drinks, and we probably only had to pay for a third of them.

Approximately an hour & don't-know-how-many drinks later, I was convinced by my friends and the bartender to go up. After all, I'm on vacation right? I'll never have to see any of these people ever again...

I'M SO GLAD I DID. It was so much fun and the pictures are HILARIOUS. All I remember is at one point... while I was tilted downwards and trying to hold on for dear life, the guy operating the bull asked the bar if they wanted to see some "wiggle." Needless to say, I heard cheering and yelling from the bar while the bull started shaking... and I felt my butt moving in ways I didn't know possible!!

Good times and PRICELESS memories were had by all. Thank you, Tequila Ranch!

Been here for drinks several times and eaten here 2 or 3 times. Late at night on the weekends it gets packed. They play reggaeton and hip hop and the ladies ride the mechanical bull. It can be entertaining to watch for a little while.

This time we came on a Wednesday night to show some out-of-town relatives the Hard Rock and grab a bite to eat.  It's not cheap for what you get, but considering it's at the tourist destination of Hard Rock, that's not unexpected.  For example, my girlfriend had a cosmo from the drink menu and it was $16. Two other ladies with us had a blueberry lemonade drink that was $12 or $13. I went for a couple of Dos Equis ($6).

The food seems to be mediocre or really good, depending on what you get. This time I had the taquitos al carbon ($12.99). The tortillas were fresh and the taquitos were made the authentic way, but the meat seemed a little dry and could have used more seasoning. It also wasn't that much food for an entree. We did fill up on the deliciously salty chips and semi-hot salsa beforehand, though. The best thing anyone had at the table was what my lady ordered: fajitas with steak (supposedly filet mignon) and jumbo shrimp (around $19). It was a large plate so a few of us helped her with it. The steak may have actually been filet, because it was amazing - juicy and seasoned just right: extremely flavorful. The shrimp and onions, peppers, etc were also great. Service was good.  I probably wouldn't come to Hard Rock specifically to eat here, but if I end up at Tequila Ranch again, I'm definitely getting the fajitas.

Went here for dinner before a show at the Hard Rock. It was still a little before 7pm and it wasn't that busy.

Although the food is pricey, it was overall pretty good. We really enjoyed the sampler which includes quesadillas, corn, empanadas, and croquettes. You can tell the corn was cut off the cob and not from a can. That was probably the best thing we ate.

We also ordered the fish tacos and the burrito of the day. The fish tacos aren't what I expected. They were actually filled with breaded fried fish rather than shredded which I actually really liked. They also had a nice dallop of guacamole in each taco. The burrito is about the size of a burrito from say Moe's, but I would have to say with higher quality ingredients. Personally for $17 I would rather go to Moe's and get burritos for the whole table.

Overall the food and service was really good and surprisingly fast.

I came to this restaurant for my birthday this year and it didn't dissappoint.

It was not a classical Mexican restaurant, as it had dishes from all over Latin America, but it was good.

The Mechanical Bull was not in service at the time but we went for dinner.

The service was great and the food was good.

All in all, it was worth it.

Fun! Fun! Fun! I love their mechanical bull ride!  So much fun!!!

But Food only get my 2.5 stars. : (
I really had better mexican food somewhere else for 1/2 price.
And we waited for 1 hour!!!  We should've just had dinner somewhere else and come here for drinks and bull-ride.
