We went here with a large crowd. They don't take reservations, and they don't seat large parties until EVERY person in the party has arrived. There was an area with tables that could be pushed together, but for some reason they refused to seat us there. So we were seated in booths that were next to each other. The food is always good here, and I love the ribs. The fresh baked rolls are excellent.
Review Source:I wasnt really sure what to expect, was in the mood for a steak so decided to stop in for dinner. Noticed they offered fried pickles for an appetizer which I usually love, the ones they serve however were pretty aweful! Besides the pickles being salty the batter was incredibly salty also and our pickles sat in a pool of oil so we didn't make it through all of them. For my entree I orderd a strip steak which  suprised me by being a little touch and a little overcooked for my taste since I ordered medium rare. I also ordered the additional sauteed mushrooms and onions which were smothered on my steak and were a little overwhelming. Whomever was cooking that night went salt crazy because they were extremely seasoned and salty as well, which ended up overpowering the flavor of the steak. At the end of my meal I also noticed a piece of paper under my steak and when I asked my server about that she replied that it was probably just the order ticket that got stuck to the steak as if it were a normal occurance. (yuk!) Although the price for a steak meal was fairly reasonable, I wish we would have gone down the street to Outback, sorry Texas Roadhouse.
Review Source:I will put out a disclaimer that I am a vegetarian who should not be eating at a steakhouse in general, but this is my opinion of it, and I have liked other steakhouses. I am also skeptical of chain restaurants in general, but I have definitely had good experiences at some. This was one of my worst experiences at a restaurant ever.
A close (meat-loving) friend wanted to have a celebratory dinner here, so being the good friend that I am I reluctantly tagged along. Only to discover that the vegetarian options are even worse than I am used to. I was told that the loaded, baked sweet potato was fantastic, so I ordered that and planned to eat something else later.
The sweet potato, the one thing I was hoping would make the place not horrible, was one of the worst sweet potatoes I have had. I love sweet potatoes and eat them all the time at home. But this one was stringy, either old or overcooked or both, and the "loaded" was not actually very loaded with much to take away the taste.
Country music blared constantly, it was very loud, the decor was all country-cowboy-esque and hideous, and I begged my friends to leave as soon as possible. I don't care what is being celebrated, I am not going back. So you might like this type of place, I don't know... but me? I hated it. I am sticking to Ponderosa and Fogo de Chao for my steakhouse experiences with friends.
